Inclusion of α-phenyl-N-p-methylphenyl Nitrone in β- Cyclodextrin: Formation of 1G : 1H and 1G : 2H Complexes and the Remarkably Fast 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of the 1G : 2H Complex with Olefins in the Solid State

The nitrone is found to be included in the -cyclodextrin cavity in two different stoichiometries viz., 1G : 1H and 1G : 2H – the existence of which is proved by physical methods. The 1G : 2H complex of the nitrone serves as a good potent dipolarophile in the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions with olefins resulting in rate acceleration and regioselection.     

3-(5-Substituted 2-Methoxyphenyl)-4-Nitro-2-Phenyl-5-Thiophene-2-yl-Isoxazolidines - Synthesis and Conformational Studies

Abstract

The synthesis of a new set of 2,3,4,5-substituted isoxazolidines having a sulfur containing heterocyclic moiety has been described. The structural features of the compounds have been analyzed by ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy as well as by single crystal X-ray studies.

Synthesis of 6‐Aryl‐4H‐imidazo[1,2‐b][1,2,4]triazoles and 6‐Aryl‐thiazolo[3,2‐b][1,2,4]triazoles

The cyclization of the derivatives of 3‐aminotriazole, 2‐(5‐substituted 4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐ylamino)‐1‐arylethanones and 2‐(4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐ylthio)‐1‐arylethanones to yield 6‐aryl‐4H‐imidazo[1,2‐b][1,2,4]triazoles and 6‐aryl‐thiazolo[3,2‐b][1,2,4]triazoles has been described.     

Synthesis of Biologically Important N‐Heteroaryl‐2‐(heteroarylthio)acetamides

The synthesis of compounds having triazole and selena/thiadiazole rings connected by a chain having sulfur and nitrogen in the link has been described. The resultant N‐heteroaryl‐2‐(heteroarylthio)acetamide may be biologically important as related compounds found application in the inhibition of HIV 1 replications.     

A New Route for the Synthesis of 6‐Substituted [1,2,4]Triazolo[4,3‐a]pyrimidines

A new method of generating the fused heterocyclic system with bridgehead nitrogen, triazolo[4,3‐a]pyrimidine, from 3‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazole and unsaturated halo acids has been described.     

One‐Pot Green Synthesis of Thiazolo[3,2‐a]pyridine Derivatives via Tandem Cyclization in Aqueous Media

Facile, three‐component domino reactions of readily available thioglycolic acid/ethyl thioglycolate, aromatic aldehydes, and malononitrile/ethyl cyanoacetate in aqueous potassium carbonate at room temperature afforded thiazolo[3,2‐a]pyridine derivatives chemoselectively in good to excellent yield. All the formed 4H‐chromenes were characterized by spectral and X‐ray methods.     

Stereoselective multicomponent synthesis of [3‐(5‐substituted 2‐methoxyphenyl)‐5‐aryl‐2‐phenyltetrahydro‐4‐isoxazolyl](2‐thienyl)methanones via 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition

Three‐component stereoselective synthesis of a set of new tetra substituted isoxazolidines from 5‐substi‐tuted 2‐methoxybenzaldehydes, N‐phenylhydroxylamine and 1‐(2‐thienyl)‐3‐arylprop‐2‐en‐1‐ones has been achieved. The effect of microwave irradiation on the reaction under solvent‐free conditions has also been investigated. The stereochemistry of the final products has been confirmed by NMR and single crystal X‐ray analysis.     

Synthesis of highly substituted 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrole derivatives via a tandem regioselective addition of nitrones to 1,3-enynes with subsequent rearrangement

A novel method for the synthesis of 1,3-enynes is described through oxidative cyclization of the semicarbazones of Michael adducts having potential nitrile functionality. Reaction of these 1,3-enynes with diaryl nitrones has yielded a diastereomeric mixture of highly substituted 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrole derivatives via a tandem regioselective addition with subsequent rearrangement.     

Chemo,stereo, and regioselective addition of α‐(2‐methoxyaryl)‐N‐aryl nitrones to diarylidineacetone: Synthesis of novel isoxazolidines

A new set of 2,3,4,5‐tetrasubstituted isoxazolidines with an α,β‐unsaturated carbonyl function at position 4 has been synthesized. The multicomponent approach and microwave irradiation protocol have also been investigated for the above synthesis.     

Limit theorems of general functions of independent and identically distributed random variables

In this paper we derive limit theorems of some general functions of independent and identically distributed random variables. A stability property is used to derive the limit theory for general functions. A procedure followed in de Haan (1976) and Leadbetter et al. (1983) is used to prove the main result. The limit theorems for the maximum, minimum and sum of fixed sample sizes and random sample sizes are derived as special cases of the main result.
