Boron-doped diamond (BDD) films are excellent electrode materials, whose electrochemical activity for some analytes can be tuned by controlling their surface termination, most commonly either to predominantly hydrogen or oxygen. This tuning can be accomplished by e.g. suitable cathodic or anodic electrochemical pretreatments. Recently, it has been shown that amorphous carbon nitride (a-CNx) films may present electrochemical characteristics similar to those of BDD, including the influence of surface termination on their electrochemical activity toward some analytes. In this work, we report for the first time a complete electroanalytical method using an a-CNx electrode. Thus, an a-CNx film deposited on a stainless steel foil by DC magnetron sputtering is proposed as an alternative electrode for the simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA) in synthetic biological samples by square-wave voltammetry. The obtained results are compared with those attained using a BDD electrode. For both electrodes, a same anodic pretreatment in 0.1 mol L−1 KOH was necessary to attain an adequate and equivalent separation of the DA and AA oxidation potential peaks of about 330 mV. The detection limits obtained for the simultaneous determination of these analytes using the a-CNx electrode were 0.0656 μmol L−1 for DA and 1.05 μmol L−1 for AA, whereas with the BDD electrode these values were 0.283 μmol L−1 and 0.968 μmol L−1, respectively. Furthermore, the results obtained in the analysis of the analytes in synthetic biological samples were satisfactory, attesting the potential application of the a-CNx electrode in electroanalysis.  相似文献

The effect of suprathermal polarization force on both linear and weakly nonlinear dust-acoustic solitary structures in a three-component dusty plasma is investigated. For this purpose, a new expression of the polarization force acting on dust particles that include the electronic suprathermal effect is derived. The results are applied to two different experimental dusty plasmas. We have found that the polarization force acting on the dust grains decreases as the electron suprathermality becomes more significant. In addition, we have shown that, for a given value of the spectral index κ , the polarization force magnitude fluctuates from one plasma to another. The changes arising in the propagation of small-amplitude dust-acoustic (DA) solitons due to the presence of this suprathermal polarization force are also analysed. Interestingly, an increase in the magnitude of the polarization force leads to an increase in the amplitude and width of DA soliton and provides more energy to the motion of this soliton.  相似文献

A modified shear lag analysis, taking into account the notion of stress perturbation function, is employed to evaluate the effect of transverse cracks on the stiffness reduction in [±θn/90m]S angle-ply laminated composites. Effects of number of 90° layers and number of ±θ layers on the laminate stiffness have also been studied. The present results represent well the dependence of the degradation of mechanical properties on the fibre orientation angle of the outer layers, the number of cracked cross-ply layers and the number of uncracked outer ±θ layers in the laminate.  相似文献

A modified shear-lag analysis, taking into account the concept of stress perturbation function, is developed and applied to evaluate the effect of transverse cracks on the effective thermal expansion coefficient of aged angle-ply composites laminates. Effects of number of 90° layers and number of θ° layers in the outer angle-ply laminates on the reduction of the effective axial coefficient of thermal expansion have also been studied. The results of this paper represent well the dependence of the reduction of the effective axial coefficient of thermal expansion on the hygrothermal conditions, the fibre orientation angle of the outer layers, the number of cracked cross-ply layers and the number of un-cracked outer θ° layers in laminate.  相似文献

Cylindrical micelles prepared in aqueous solutions from cationic surfactants octadecyl trimethylammonium (OTA+) or cetyltrimethylammonium (CTA+) and parachlorobenzoate (PCB) counterion were successfully imaged after evaporation of water using tapping mode atomic force microscopy (TM-AFM) onto very smooth gold and glass substrates. With the help of the obtained topography AFM images, it was shown that the micellar structures are preserved on gold substrates after evaporation of the solvent despite the new set of stresses due mainly to capillary forces and dehydration. The influence of the substrate on the resulting micellar morphology observed in air was investigated for these two materials: cylindrical micelles were evidenced as loosely adherent on gold surface in the presence of parachlorobenzoate (PCB) and identical, geometrically speaking, to those known to exist in aqueous solutions. In this situation, topographic AFM images allowed us to determine accurately their geometrical characteristics such as diameter and length in the nanometer range. On the other hand, AFM images obtained in air on glass surfaces revealed micellar structures that are different from those existing in the bulk of the solution. Indeed, bilayer-type micelles with a thickness close to twice the surfactant monomer expected length were observed, indicating that the well-established and strong influence of glass on micelle geometry at the glass/solution interface is maintained after evaporation of water. These results have been analyzed on the basis of positive charge of gold deduced from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Raman spectroscopy measurements on one hand and of the negative charge of glass on the other hand. Although these results appeal to new theoretical considerations dealing with dynamics of evaporation of micellar solution drops and/or with counterion contributions to macromolecular interactions in aqueous solutions and in air, this new AFM imaging method appears to be the more adequate one to image and measure the micelles formed in the presence of water.  相似文献

The strengthening of concrete structures in situ with externally bonded fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composite sheets is increasingly being used for the repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. However, debonding along the FRP-concrete interface can lead to premature failure of the structures. The interfacial stresses have played a significant role in understanding this premature debonding failure of such repaired structures. In this paper, an improved theoretical analysis of the interfacial stresses is presented for a simply supported concrete beam bonded with a FRP plate. The shear strains of the adherends have been included in the present theoretical analysis by assuming a parabolic distribution of shear stress across their thickness. Contrary to some existing studies, the assumption that both adherends have the same curvature is not used in the present investigation. The results of this numerical study are beneficial for understanding the mechanical behavior of material interfaces and for the design of hybrid FRP-reinforced concrete structures.  相似文献

A sodium dodecylsulfate‐doped polypyrrole (SDS‐PPy) film was elaborated on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by an electrodeposition method in phosphate buffer solution (pH 2.0) containing pyrrole (Py) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). SDS‐PPy/GCE was used for the construction of sensor, which showed excellent electrochemical response for the detection of ondansetron (OND) compared to conventional PPy. The application of the square wave (SW), with the adsorptive accumulation, indicates a maximum response at 1.33 V in H2SO4 (0.5 M). The influence of experimental parameters on determination of OND is discussed. The adsorptive stripping technique showed to be more sensitive, giving responses twice as big as those of non‐accumulated OND. The substantial improvement of response permits the development of an electroanalytical technique with a linear concentration in the range (1.0–80 μM), low detection (0.09 μM), and quantification limits (0.3 μM), and acceptable relative standard deviations of repeatability (0.59 %), and reproducibility (1.51 %). Consequently, this electrode is promising candidate for an accurate electroanalytical determination of OND in pharmaceutical samples with high sensitivity and selectivity, good accuracy and precision. The electrooxidation of OND at SDS‐PPy/GCE at various temperatures were studied by cyclic voltammetry to evaluate both the kinetic (ks and Ea) and thermodynamic (ΔG*, ΔH* and ΔS*) parameters.  相似文献
