Highly substituted 1,Δ-diazabutadienes react with aroyl isothiocyanates in a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition node yielding five-membered thiohydantoin-type heterocycles. The cycloaddition is accompanied by 1,4 shift of hydrogen from a methyl group attached to C2 of the 1,C-diazabutadiene moiety. The mechanism of this reaction is discussed in comparison with similar cycloadditions with aryl isocyanates. 相似文献

The
-meson production in the reaction
has been studied at excess energies of Q = 26.5, 32.5 and 46.6 MeV using the internal beam facility COSY-11 at the cooler synchrotron COSY. The total cross-sections as well as one angular distribution for the highest Q-value are presented. The excitation function of the near-threshold data can be described by a pure s-wave phase space distribution with the inclusion of the proton-proton final-state interaction and Coulomb effects. The obtained angular distribution of the

The production of
- and
-mesons in elementary nucleon-nucleon collisions has been investigated at the synchrotrons CELSIUS, COSY and SATURNE. The high-quality proton beam with low emittance and small momentum spread permits to study the creation of these mesons very close to the kinematical threshold, where --due to the rapid growth of the phase space volume-- the total cross-section increases by orders of magnitude over a few MeV range of the excess energy. The magnitude and energy dependence of the total cross-section as well as the occupation distribution of the phase space serve as observables for investigating the mechanisms underlying the production processes and the interaction of mesons with nucleons. The precise data on the
and
creation via the
reactions allowed to settle the general features of the
- and
-meson production and revealed the sensitivity of the mentioned observables to the nucleon-nucleon-meson final-state interaction. The particular production properties, like for example, the determination of the dominating exchange processes which lead to the excitation of the S
11 nucleon isobar in the case of
creation, must be established by confrontation with other observables. The present status of this investigation with an emphasis on the results of the COSY-11 Collaboration is briefly presented. Outreach mathematicians are college faculty who are trainedin mathematics but who undertake an active role in improvingprimary and secondary education. This role is examined througha study where an outreach mathematician introduced the conceptof complex variables to junior high school students in the UnitedStates with the goal of stimulating their interest in mathematicsand improving their algebra skills. Comparison of pre- and post-testresults showed that ninth-grade students displayed a significantchange in algebraic skills while the eighth-grade students madelittle progress. The outreach mathematician lacked some awarenessof the eighth-grade students foundational backgroundand motivation. The mass spectra of some 1,3- heterodienes containing the 1-oxa-4-aza-butadiene system have been determined and the characteristic fragmentation pathways are discussed. The pathways suggested are supported by the appropriate metastables, the spectra of model compounds and by deuterium labelling. Proton-proton and proton- $ \eta$ invariant-mass distributions and the total cross-section for the pp $ \rightarrow$ pp $ \eta$ reaction have been determined near the threshold at an excess energy of Q = 10 MeV. The experiment has been conducted using the COSY-11 detector setup and the cooler synchrotron COSY. The determined invariant-mass spectra reveal significant enhancements in the region of low proton-proton relative momenta, similarly as observed previously at higher excess energies of Q = 15.5 MeV and Q = 40 MeV. 相似文献

The total cross section of the reaction pp→ppK+K− has been measured at excess energies Q=10 MeV and 28 MeV with the magnetic spectrometer COSY-11. The new data show a significant enhancement of the total cross section compared to pure phase space expectations or calculations within a one boson exchange model. In addition, we present invariant mass spectra of two particle subsystems. While the K+K− system is rather constant for different invariant masses, there is an enhancement in the pK− system towards lower masses which could at least be partially connected to the influence of the Λ(1405) resonance. 相似文献
