Small‐Angle Neutron Scattering has been performed from poly(ethylene oxide) in deuterated water at temperature ranging from 10 to 80 °C. A simple fitting model was used to obtain a correlation length and a Porod exponent. The correlation length L characterizes the average distance between entanglements in the semidilute region and is proportional to the individual coil sizes in the dilute region. L was found to increase with temperature in the semidilute region but it decreases with temperature in the dilute region. Daily drayage operations involve moving loaded or empty equipment between customer locations and rail ramps. Our goal is to minimize the cost of daily drayage operations in a region on a given day. Drayage orders are generally pickup and delivery requests with time windows. The repositioning of empty equipment may also be required in order to facilitate loaded movements. The drayage orders are satisfied by a heterogeneous fleet of drivers. Driver routes must satisfy various operational constraints. We present an optimization methodology for finding cost-effective schedules for regional daily drayage operations. The core of the formulation is a set partitioning model whose columns represent routes. Routes are added to the formulation by column generation. We present numerical results for real-world data which demonstrate that our methodology produces low cost solutions in a reasonably short time.  相似文献

Five novel monoazo disperse dyestuffs based on N‐ester‐1,8‐naphthalimide were synthesized. Acenaphthene was nitrated, then oxidized to 4‐nitro‐1,8‐naphthalic anhydride. 4‐Nitro‐1,8‐naphthalic anhydride was reacted with methyl and ethyl glycinate in alcoholic media, followed with reduction. 4‐Amino‐N‐methyl and ethyl glycinate‐1,8‐naphthalimide were obtained. These products were diazotized and coupled with appropriate aromatic amines to give bluish‐red or violet dyestuffs. All intermediates and dyestuffs were purified and characterized by 1H‐NMR, FTIR, DSC, UV‐VIS and Elemental Analysis. Dispersion of dyestuffs was prepared in water and applied to polyester fabrics. The dyed fabrics showed that four of the synthesized dyestuffs were suitable for coloring polyester fibers, producing deep bluish red with very good build up properties.  相似文献

Four kinds of polythiophenes have been doped with CH3SO3H in CHCl3 under air, oxygen, and nitrogen. In the doping of two types of poly(3-hexylthiophene)s, P3HexTh(Zn/Ni) and P3HexTh(Fe) with different contents of a head-to-tail unit, the p-doping occurs at a similar rate. The reaction between poly(3-dodecylthiophene), P3DodTh, and the acid takes place more rapidly. P3OBuTh with a butoxy substituent undergoes more facile p-doping and receives photochemical reaction with CHCl3, and this reaction obeys a pseudo-first-order rate law with a rate constant kobs of 1.42×10-5 s-1 at room temperature.  相似文献

The atmospheric variability in the tropics is primarily driven by convective heating. Observations revealed that convection in the tropics is organized into a hierarchy of multiscale convective systems ranging from the individual cloud cells to planetary scale disturbances that are nested within each other like Russian dolls. Current global climate models simulate very poorly these convectively coupled waves due in part to inadequate treatment of organized convection by the underlying cumulus parameterizations. Here, we present idealized simulations of convectively coupled equatorial waves (CCWs) using the weather research and forecast model in a horizontally limited domain consisting of a 4,500 km-wide square centered at the equator at moderate horizontal resolution of 10 km. We attempted and compared various configuration options, including switching on and off the cumulus parameterization (CP) and nesting a fine resolution 3.33 km domain, a 2,000 km-wide square, in the middle of the domain. It turns out that the results without a CP are much superior than those using a CP. While the cases without a CP resulted in a coherent eastward propagating CCW, which has many common features with observed convectively coupled Kelvin waves, the cumulus parameterization tends to destroy both the coherence of the propagating waves, even in the case with a nested domain, and reduces dramatically the variability. A primary demonstration on how such results could be used to show evidence of energy exchange, through momentum transport, between small-scale circulation due to mesoscale convection and the propagating synoptic scale wave will be reported is also presented.  相似文献

This paper presents a study of the diurnal cycle of tropical precipitation and its interaction with convectively coupled waves in the context of simple models with crude vertical resolution. One and two baroclinic mode models are tested in both the context of a one-column model and the context of a full spatial dependency that permits waves to propagate and interact with the diurnal cycle. It is found that a one baroclinic mode model is capable of reproducing a realistic diurnal cycle of tropical precipitation both over land and over the ocean provided an adequate switch function is used to mimic the congestus preconditioning mechanism that operates in the multicloud model of Khouider and Majda. However, a full two baroclinic mode multicloud model is needed to capture the interaction of convectively coupled tropical waves with the diurnal cycle. In a more conventional mass flux parameterization framework, both one and two baroclinic mode models fail to capture the diurnal cycle of tropical precipitation.  相似文献

New pyrazolo[1.5.4-de]quinoxaline derivatives were prepared by the action of 7-aminoindazole 1 on diethyl and dimethyl acetylene dicarboxylates. The structures of the obtained compounds and the direction of cyclization were investigated through a crystallographic study of compound 2. Further alkylation, hydrogenation, and bromination were also explored. The action of potassium thiocyanate on the obtained halo product led to a tetracyclic compound of 1.3-thiazolo[3.4-a]pyrazolo[1.5.4-de]quinoxaline series.  相似文献
