When protein is irradiated by γ-rays from a 60Co source in various liquids containing aromatic hydrocarbons, such as benzene, naphthalene, and phenanthrene, the effect of the radiation varies with the irradiation liquids containing aromatic hydrocarbons. An empirical equation for the viscosity change was obtained. Protein irradiated by γ-rays from a 60Co source in air showed the effect of pH on protein reactions. The catalytic oxidation of glucose on Pt electrodes modified by adsorbed metals was studied in 1 M HClO4 by linear sweep voltammetry. The adsorbed metals (denoted as Mad, such as Biad and Pbad) formed on Pt in the potential region more positive than the reversible potential of an M=+/Mo couple, lead to a marked increase in the anodic c?urrent of glucose by about one order of magnitude. The catalytic activity depends on the surface coverage by the Mad. The strongly adsorbed species of lactone type, which are responsible for blocking the successive oxidation, are formed on the electrode surface in the anodic processes of glucose on a bare Pt electrode. The formation of such poisonous species is accelerated in the presence of adsorbed hydrogen on Pt. The effects of Mad were discussed on the basis that Mad plays its major role on the Pt electrode surface in removal of the adsorbed hydrogen which initiates the formation of the poisonous species.  相似文献

In the crystal structure of the title charge‐transfer complex, namely trans‐stilbene–2,2′‐(2,3,5,6‐tetra­fluoro­benzene‐1,4‐diyl­idene)­propane­di­nitrile (1/1) (trans‐STB–TCNQF4), C14H12·C12F4N4, the planar STB and TCNQF4 mol­ecules are stacked alternately. The structure is not isostructural with that of STB–TCNQ. No anomaly was found in the displacement parameters of any atoms, while the bond length of the central C=C moiety was shorter than the corresponding bond in ethyl­ene. This suggests that the central C=C moiety of the STB mol­ecule vibrates with a large amplitude, similar to the case in free STB and STB–TCNQ.  相似文献

The radiation protective effect of the breaking of secondary bonding in proteins was examined with 1,2 diamine and 1,2 dihydroxy derivatives such as ethylenediamine, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, and propylene glycol, and monosubstituted amines and alcohols such as ethylamine and n-propyl alcohol. This work reports the determination of oxygen to uranium (O/U) ratio in irradiated UO2+x fuel pellet of burnup of ca. 34 GWd/t by controlled potential coulometry. The method is based on the dissolution of the nuclear fuel in strong phosphoric acid (SPA) at 180–190 °C under an inert atmosphere. After dissolution, 8% sulphuric acid is added in order to obtain a 20% SPA in 8% sulphuric acid. A controlled potential coulometric determination of uranium(VI) is carried out at ?0.60V vs. ferri-ferrocyanide. The uranium(IV) contained in an aliquot of the fuel solution is oxidised to uranium(VI) with cerium(IV) sulphate, and the total uranium content is then determined by coulometry. Optimum experimental conditions have been established using simulated irradiated fuel solution containing various fission products which include cerium, tellurium, palladium, ruthenium, molybdenum and zirconium. Interference of the fission products and the possible removal of their interferences by preelectrolysis at +0.5 V vs. saturated calomel electrode (SCE) have been investigated. The accuracy of the coulometric method is confimed by polarographic measurement using several unirradiated UO2+x fuel of known stoichiometry.  相似文献

This paper investigates oscillations in a flexible rotor system with radial clearance between an outer ring of the bearing and a casing by experiments and numerical simulations. The mathematical model considers the collisions of the bearing with the casing. The following phenomena are found: (1) Nonlinear resonances of subharmonic, super-subharmonic and combination oscillation occur. (2) Self-excited oscillation of a forward whirling mode occurs in a wide range above the major critical speed. (3) Entrainment phenomena from self-excited oscillation to nonlinear forced oscillation occur at these nonlinear resonance ranges. Moreover, this study analyzes periodic solutions of the mathematical model by the Harmonic Balance Method (HBM). As the results, the nonlinear resonances of subharmonic oscillation and its entrainment phenomenon can be explained theoretically by investigating the stability of the periodic solutions. The influence of the static force and the bearing damping on these oscillation are also clarified.  相似文献

A layered structure of water molecules formed on a Cu(111) electrode surface during hydrogen evolution in sulfuric acid solution was studied by surface X-ray diffraction and infrared reflection absorption methods. Water molecules in the surface layers take a closest pack-like stacking structure with nearest-neighbor oxygen-oxygen distances in intra-(0.322(5) nm) and inter-(0.275(15) nm) layers of multi-domains; the infrared spectra of the layered water on the Cu electrode surface showed the existence of free OH(OD) and hydrogen-bonded OH(OD) of water molecule.  相似文献

Amino acids, proteins, vitamins, chelating agents, and S-containing compounds were found to protect the shape of the external envelope of the protein molecule from radiation damage. The behavior of the viscosity change closely resembles that found with sodium glutamate and sodium benzoate, as shown by a similar dependence on the concentration. Protein irradiated by γ-rays showed the effect of temperature on changes in the shape of the external envelope of the protein molecule. The behavior of the viscosity change was studied.  相似文献
