An electron in a constant magnetic field has energy levels, known as the Landau levels. One can obtain the corresponding radial wavefunction of free-electron Landau states in cylindrical polar coordinates. However, this system has not been explored so far in terms of an information-theoretical viewpoint. Here, we focus on Fisher information associated with these Landau states specified by the two quantum numbers. Fisher information provides a useful measure of the electronic structure in quantum systems, such as hydrogen-like atoms and under some potentials. By numerically evaluating the generalized Laguerre polynomials in the radial densities, we report that Fisher information increases linearly with the principal quantum number that specifies energy levels, but decreases monotonically with the azimuthal quantum number m. We also present relative Fisher information of the Landau states against the reference density with m=0, which is proportional to the principal quantum number. We compare it with the case when the lowest Landau level state is set as the reference.  相似文献

Yttrium hydroxyl carbonate (Y(OH)CO3) precursors were synthesized by the homogeneous co-precipitation method in the presence of polyacrylic acid (PAAc). Resultant precursor particle size is about 15–20 nm with narrow size distribution whereas the particle size is smaller than those acquired by the conventional homogeneous precipitation method. Effective decrease of Y(OH)CO3 particle size was found to be higher for the presence of weak polyanionic ionomer such as PAAc than the presence of strong polyanionic ionomer such as sodium polystyrene sulfonate (PSS). It was observed that the morphology and size of the precursors are almost unchanged after the calcination process. Er3+ doped Y2O3 nanoparticles were synthesized by PAAc assisted homogeneous co-precipitation method showed bright green (550 nm) and red (660 nm) upconversion (UC) as well as near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence (1550 nm) under 980-nm excitation. UC and NIR fluorescence bioimaging and in-vitro cytotoxicity assay of Er3+ doped Y2O3 nanoparticles were successfully attempted with commercially available macrophages and B-cell hybridomas. Cellular uptake of nanoparticles is evidenced from bright field, UC and NIR fluorescence images of macrophages.  相似文献

An S-shaped double helicene-like molecule (>99 % ee), possessing stable helical chirality, has been synthesized by the rhodium(I)/difluorphos complex-catalyzed highly diastereo- and enantioselective intramolecular double [2+2+2] cycloaddition of a 2-naphthol- and benzene-linked hexayne. The collision between two terminal naphthalene rings destabilizes the helical chirality of the S-shaped double helicene-like molecule, but the introduction of two additional fused benzene rings significantly increases the configurational stability. Thus, no epimerization and racemization were observed even at 100 °C. The enantiopure S-shaped double helicene-like molecule forms a trimer through the multiple C−H⋅⋅⋅π and C−H⋅⋅⋅O interactions in the solid-state. The trimers stack to form columnar packing structures, in which neighboring stacks have opposite dipole directions. The accumulation of helical structures in the same direction in the S-shaped double helicene-like molecule enhanced the chiroptical properties.  相似文献

An oxidative cleavage of allyl vic-diols to aldehydes catalyzed by a Grubbs carbene complex using a co-oxidant has been established for the first time, with good yields. Undoped and Zn-doped GaN nanowires were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and the effects of substrates, catalysts and precursors were studied. A high density of GaN nanowires was obtained. The diameter of GaN nanowires ranged from 20 nm to several hundreds of nm, and their length was about several tens of μm. The growth mechanism of GaN nanowires was discussed using a vapor–liquid–solid (VLS) model. Furthermore, room-temperature cathodoluminescence spectra of undoped and Zn-doped GaN nanowires showed emission peaks at 364 and 420 nm, respectively.  相似文献

A recombinant antibody-binding protein originating from streptococcal protein G was modified with lipid in a site-directed manner by genetic engineering. The resulting lipoprotein was incorporated into the surface of liposomes by simple mixing. Immunoliposomes were then prepared by binding anti-IgG antibodies molecules onto the surface of proteoliposome via the lipid-anchored streptococcal protein G. Either small fluorophores or fluorescently labeled proteins were encapsulated into prepared immunoliposomes, and these molecular tracers could be delivered into cells whose surfaces were marked with specific antibodies.  相似文献

The total synthesis of myxol stereoisomers 1a,b and deoxymyxol (plectaniaxanthin) stereoisomers 2a,b was accomplished by Wittig reaction of (S)- and (R)-C10-phosphonium salts 8a,b bearing a silyl-protected 1,2-dihydroxy-ψ end group with C30-apocarotenals 6 and 7. The phosphonium salts 8a,b were derived from aldehydes 11a,b possessing a cyclopentylidene ketal moiety, prepared via Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation of allylic alcohol 12 followed by regioselective cleavage of the oxirane ring. We established an analytical HPLC method using a chiral column to separate stereoisomers 1a,b and 2a,b and thus determined the absolute configurations of the natural products. The HPLC analyses established that both myxol and deoxymyxol isolated from bacteria have the 2′S-configuration.  相似文献

Life on earth has constantly coped with the impact of solar radiation, especially solar ultraviolet radiation (solar UV). Various biological mechanisms protect us from solar UV. New devices emitting shorter wavelengths UV-C, i.e. <254 nm emitted by conventional UV germicidal lamps, have emerged. These shorter wavelength UV-C emitting devices are useful for various purposes, including microorganism inactivation. However, as solar UV-C does not reach the earth surface, biological impacts of UV-C has been studied using 254 nm germicidal lamps, and those using shorter wavelength UV-C is rarely known. To balance the utility and risk of UV-C, the biological effect of these new UV-C emitting devices must be investigated. In addition, our knowledge of biological impacts of the wavelength-dependent entire UV (100–400 nm) must be enhanced. In this review, we briefly summarize the biological impacts of shorter wavelength UV-C. Mechanisms of UV-C-induced cellular damage and factors affecting the microorganism inactivation efficiency of UV-C have been discussed. In addition, we theoretically estimate the probable photocarcinogenic action spectrum of shorter wavelength UV-C. We propose that increasing the knowledge on UV-C will facilitate the adoption of shorter wavelength UV-C emitting new devices in an optimal and appropriate manner.  相似文献

The surface discharges observed at rf windows and vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs) are one of the difficulties faced when developing high-power rf windows or compact VCBs. The surface discharge is considered to take place due to the release of the surface charges. Despite the importance of the surface charging/discharging, these phenomena have not been well evaluated. In this paper, the surface charges are estimated using the multipulse method, where electron beam irradiates a sample up to the saturation condition of surface charges. The amount of surface charges on alumina and TiN coated alumina are compared and the charging mechanism is discussed.  相似文献
