Metabolic profiles of dioscin in rats revealed by ultra‐performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry

Dioscin (DIS), one of the most abundant bioactive steroidal saponins in Dioscorea sp., is used as a complementary medicine to treat coronary disease and angina pectoris in China. Although the pharmacological activities and pharmacokinetics of DIS have been well demonstrated, information regarding the final metabolic fates is very limited. This study investigated the in vivo metabolic profiles of DIS after oral administration by ultra‐performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry method. The structures of the metabolites were identified and tentatively characterized by means of comparing the molecular mass, retention time and fragmentation pattern of the analytes with those of the parent compound. A total of eight metabolites, including seven phase I and one phase II metabolites, were detected and tentatively identified for the first time. Oxidation, deglycosylation and glucuronidation were found to be the major metabolic processes of the compound in rats. In addition, a possible metabolic pathway on the biotransformation of DIS in vivo was proposed. This study provides valuable and new information on the metabolism of DIS, which will be helpful for further understanding its mechanism of action. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Uniform partition extensions,a generating functions perspective

In this paper, a bivariate generating function CF(x, y) =f(x)-yf(xy)1-yis investigated, where f(x)= n 0fnxnis a generating function satisfying the functional equation f(x) = 1 + r j=1 m i=j-1aij xif(x)j.In particular, we study lattice paths in which their end points are on the line y = 1. Rooted lattice paths are defined. It is proved that the function CF(x, y) is a generating function defined on some rooted lattice paths with end point on y = 1. So, by a simple and unified method, from the view of lattice paths, we obtain two combinatorial interpretations of this bivariate function and derive two uniform partitions on these rooted lattice paths.     

Diastereoselective Alkylation of (Diene-Aldehyde)Fe(CO)3 Complexes with Functionalized Zinc-Copper Reagents NuCu(CN)Znl

Addition of functionalized zinc-copper reagents to the title complexes proceeds in a highly diastereoselective fashion to afford dienol complexes. The relative configurations of adducts 3d were determined by single X-ray diffraction analysis.     

The Combinatorics of Laguerre,Charlier, and Hermite Polynomials

This paper describes several combinatorial models for Laguerre, Charlier, and Hermite polynomials, and uses them to prove combinatorially some classical formulas. The so-called “Italian limit formula” (from Laguerre to Hermite), the Appel identity for Hermite polynomials, and the two Sheffer identities for Laguerre and Charlier polynomials are proved. We also give bijective proofs of the three-term recurrences. These three families form the bottom triangle in R. Askey's chart classifying hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials.     

Yb3+掺杂KY(WO4)2激光晶体生长、结构与光谱分析

采用顶部籽晶提拉法(TSSG)生长出Yb:KY(WO₄)₂(Yb:KYW)激光晶体.对预烧后的原料及晶体进行了XRD分析，结果表明，分别在920℃和600℃预烧8h后的熔质和助熔剂基本上形成一相，抑止了实验中的挥发问题；所生长的晶体为β-Yb:KYW，计算其晶格常数为a=1.063nm，b=1.034nm，c=0.755nm，β=130.75°.测得不同厚度样品的吸收光谱，结果表明样品在933nm和981nm有较强的吸收峰，计算出主峰981nm的吸收截面σ关键词： Yb:KYW TSSG法 晶体结构 光谱参数
