A new catalytic oxidation procedure, involving the use of a cerium(IV) sulfate reagent in perchloric acid with a mixed silver(I)—manganese(II) perchlorate catalyst, has been developed for the determination of phosphite, hypophosphite, and tellurium. By this method 15—100 mg of phosphite, 5—35 mg of hypophosphite, and 10—105 mg of tellurium may be determined with standard deviations of ±0.17, ±0.32, and ±0.21% respectively. A direct titration procedure for mercury(I) is described using a ceric perchlorate solution as titrant with the mixed catalyst system. Samples from 65–510 mg may be analyzed with a standard deviation of ±0.36%. 相似文献

We have made calorimetric and density measurements leading to apparent molar heat capacities and volumes of dilute aqueous solutions of silver nitrate and silver perchlorate at 298 K. We examine the origin of recently observed variations with internuclear distance (R) of the fully differential cross sections for double ionization of aligned H2 by absorption of a single photon. Using the results of fully converged numerical solutions of the Schr?dinger equation, we show that these variations arise primarily from pronounced differences in the R dependence of the parallel and perpendicular components of the ionization amplitude. We also predict that R dependences should be readily observable in the asymmetry parameter for photodouble ionization, even in experimental measurements that are not differential in the energy sharings between ejected photoelectrons. 相似文献

Background
Growth hormone (GH) plays an incompletely understood role in the development of the central nervous system (CNS). In this study, we use transgenic mice expressing a growth hormone antagonist (GHA) to explore the role of GH in regulating postnatal brain, spinal cord and body growth into adulthood. The GHA transgene encodes a protein that inhibits the binding of GH to its receptor, specifically antagonizing the trophic effects of endogenous GH. 相似文献7.
Threshold structures, reminiscent of those seen in the polar hydrogen halides, have recently been observed in the cross sections for electron impact excitation of certain vibrational levels of the nonpolar CO2 molecule. These structures occur at energies outside the range where shape resonances dominate the dynamics. We propose a virtual state model that describes the multidimensional nuclear dynamics during the collision and explains quantitatively the selectivity observed in the excitation of the Fermi dyad, as well as the pattern of threshold peaks and oscillations seen in the upper levels of the higher polyads. 相似文献

A kinetic-energy-based fitting metric for application in the context of resolution of the identity second-order M?ller-Plesset perturbation theory is presented, which is derived from the Poisson equation. Preliminary tests of the applicability include the evaluation of the error in the correlation energy, compared to standard M?ller-Plesset perturbation theory, with respect to the auxiliary basis set employed. The application of the method of exterior complex scaling to find complex resonance energies by direct numerical integration is presented. Details of the numerical procedures required are discussed and results are presented for rotational predissociation resonances in H2. The advantage of the exterior-scaling approach is that it requires analytic continuation of the potential to complex values of the coordinates only in the asymptotic or near-asymptotic region. Therefore any representation of the potential is adequate, including piecewise-continuous representations such as cubic splines. In contrast, application of the usual complex-scaling (rotated coordinates) procedure generally requires that the potential be represented by a single analytic function. 相似文献
