A simple and reliable method has been developed to selectively separate and concentrate trace amounts of silver ion from aqueous samples for the subsequent measurement by atomic absorption spectrometry. Ag+ ions are absorbed quantitatively during passage of aqueous samples through an octadecyl-bonded silica membrane disk modified by hexathia-18-crown-6. Almost all matrix elements will pass through the disk to drain. The retained Ag+ ions are then stripped from the disk with a minimal amount of thiosulfate solution as eluent. The proposed method permitted large enrichment factors of about 200 and higher. The limit of detection of the proposed method is 50 ng Ag+ per 1,000 mL. The effects of various cationic interferences on the recovery of silver in binary mixtures were studied. The method was applied to the recovery of Ag+ ions from different synthetic and water samples.  相似文献

Fast atom bombardment, combined with high-energy collision-induced tandem mass spectrometry, has been used to investigate gas-phase metal-ion interactions with captopril, enalaprilat and lisinopril, all angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.Suggestions for the location of metal-binding sites are presented. For captopril, metal binding occurs most likely at both the sulphur and the nitrogen atom. For enalaprilat and lisinopril, binding preferably occurs at the amine nitrogen. A simple, selective and reliable method for rapid extraction and determination of trace amounts of Cu (II) ions from aqueous samples using octadecyl-bonded silica membrane disks modified with bis-(3-methoxy salicylaldehyde)-1,6-diaminohexane and flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) is presented. Extraction efficiency, the influence of pH, flow rates, amount of ligand, and type and least amount of eluant were investigated. The linear dynamic range of the proposed method for Cu (II) ions was found in a wide concentration range of 1.0 (± 0.2)–150 (± 2) μg l− 1. The detection limit and preconcentration factor of this method were found 30.0 (± 0.7) ng l− 1 and 100 respectively. The reproducibility of the procedure is at the most 2.0%. The effects of various cationic interferences on the percent recovery of copper ion were studied. The method was used to the recovery of copper ion from different synthetic, alloys and biological samples.  相似文献

This study examines the difficulties college students experience when creating and interpreting graphs in which speed is one of the variables. Nineteen students, all preservice elementary or middle school teachers, completed an upper‐level course exploring algebraic concepts. Although all of these preservice teachers had previously completed several mathematics courses, including calculus, they demonstrated widespread misconceptions about the variable speed. This study identifies four cognitive obstacles held by the students, provides excerpts of their graphical constructions and verbal interpretations, and discusses potential causes for the confusion. In particular, misconceptions arose when students interpreted the behavior and nature of speed within a graphical context, as well as in situations where they were required to construct a graph involving speed as a variable. The study concludes by offering implications for the teaching and learning of speed and its interpretation within a graphical setting.  相似文献

A simple and selective method for rapid and efficient concentration and determination of μg l−1 levels of Au(III) ions in aqueous solution using octadecyl silica membrane disks modified by pentathia-15-crown-5 and flame atomic absorption spectrometry is presented. The influence of flow rates of eluent and sample solution, amount of ligand, types and least amount of eluent for elution of Au from disks were investigated. Break through volume and limit of detection of the membrane disks modified by 5 mg of the thiacrown ether was found to be 2.0 l and 1.0 μg l−1, respectively. The effects of various cationic interferences on percent recovery of gold were studied. The method was successfully applied for the determinations of gold in some pharmaceutical samples and for the recovery of trace Au3+ ions from synthetic and water samples.  相似文献

A new PVC membrane potentiometric sensor that is highly selective to Fe(III) ions was prepared by using 2-[(2-hydroxy-1-propenyl-buta-1,3-dienylimino)-methyl]-4-p-tolylazo-phenol [HPDTP] as a suitable carrier. The electrode exhibits a linear response for iron(III) ions over a wide concentration range (3.5 × 10−6 to 4.0 × 10−2) with a super Nernstian slope of 28.5 (±0.5) per decade. The electrode can be used in the pH range from 4.5 to 6.5. The proposed sensor shows fairly a good discriminating ability towards Fe3+ ion in comparison to some hard and soft metals such as Fe2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Al3+ and Ca2+. It has a response time of <15 s and can be used for at least 2 months without any measurable divergence in response characteristics. The electrode was used in the direct determination of Fe3+ in aqueous samples and as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Fe(III) ions.  相似文献

A novel ZnS nanoparticle‐modified carbon paste electrode (ZnSNP‐MCPE) was fabricated and used to study the electrooxidation of thioridazine (TR) using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The determination conditions, such as accumulation time, pH of solution, and modifier amount were optimized. The mechanism of the electrooxidation process on the surface of the modified electrode was studied electrochemically. A linear range of 0.1–36.0 µM with detection limit of 65.0 nM was obtained for TR. In a mixture containing TR and olanzapine (OLZ), the DPV peaks of two compounds can be well separate from each other with a potential difference of 425 mV. Finally, this method was successfully applied to determinate the TR content in real samples.  相似文献

Two new bidentate salicylaldiminato Schiff-base ligands have been synthesized by condensation of various precursor ligands and n-propylamine. The results of elemental analysis are in conformity with the suggested formula. The main bands in IR spectra, signals in 1H NMR and electronic absorption spectra are assigned and discussed in terms of molecular structure. Semiempirical calculations of the structures and second-order nonlinear optical polarizabilities () of molecules were performed. The value for one of these Schiff-base compounds is 134 times that of urea.  相似文献

Comparative studies of the potentiometric behavior of three mercapto compounds [2-((5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylimino)methyl)phenol] (MTMP), [5-(2-methoxy benzylidene amino)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol] (MBYT) and [5-(pyridin-2-ylmethyleneamino)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol] (PYTT) self-assembled on gold nanoparticles (GNPs) as ionophores in carbon paste electrodes (CPEs) have been made. These mercapto thiadiazole compounds were self-assembled onto gold nanoparticles and then incorporated within carbon paste electrode. The self-assembled ionophores exhibit a high selectivity for copper ion (Cu2+), in which the sulfur and nitrogen atoms in their structure play a role as the effective coordination donor site for the copper ion. These carbon paste electrodes were applied as indicator electrodes for potentiometric determination of copper ions. The sensor based on PYTT exhibits the working concentration range of 4.0 × 10−9 to 7.0 × 10−2 M and a Nernstian slope of 28.7 ± 0.3 mV decade−1 of copper activity. The detection limit of electrode was 1.0 × 10−9 M and potential response was pH independent across the range of 3.0-6.5. It exhibited a quick response time of <5 s and could be used for a period of 45 days. The ion selectivity of this electrode for Cu2+ was over 104 times that for other metal cations. The application of prepared sensors has been demonstrated for the determination of copper ions in spiked water and natural water samples.  相似文献
