Spectroscopic [UV–visible and Fourier transform IR (FTIR)] and thermal properties of chemically synthesized polyanilines are found to be affected by varying the protonation media (acetic, citric, oxalic, and tartaric acid). The optical spectra show the presence of a greater fraction of fully oxidized insulating pernigraniline phase in polyaniline doped with acetic acid. In contrast, the selectivity in the formation of the conducting phase is higher in oxalic acid as a protonic acid media. The FTIR spectra of these polymers reveal a higher ratio of the relative intensities of the quinoid to benzenoid ring modes in acetic acid doped polyaniline. Scanning electron micrographs revealed a sponge‐like structure derived from the aggregation of the small granules in acetic acid and oxalic acid doped polyaniline. A three‐step decomposition pattern is observed in all the polymers, regardless of the protonic acid used for the doping. The second step loss related to the loss of dopant is found to be higher in the oxalic acid doped polymer. In accordance with these results the conductivity is also found to be higher in oxalic acid doped material. The ligand salt, Me6[14]diene·2HClO4 (L·2HClO4) was prepared by condensation of acetone and ethylene diamine in the presence of perchloric acid. On reduction of this diene ligand salt, L·2HClO4 with sodium borohydride, the two isomeric ligands, ‘tet-a’ and ‘tet-b’ were produced. The ligands, on reaction with ZnX2 (X=Cl, ClO4, NO3 or CH3COO) and ZnSO4 produced the corresponding complexes. These complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses; IR, UV–Vis and 1H-NMR spectroscopies; magnetic and conductance data. Based on these data, all of the complexes of the diene ligand L, as well as the perchlorate complexes of all of the ligands attained a square-pyramidal arrangement, whereas the complexes of ‘tet-a’ and ‘tet-b’, with X=NO3, Cl or CH3COO and with ZnSO4 salt, were octahedral. Moreover, all complexes were monometallic except the nitrato complex, [(ZnL)2(µ-NO3)](ClO4)3 which is bimetallic. The structure of [(ZnL)2(µ-NO3)](ClO4)3 has been confirmed by X-ray crystallography. In this complex the zinc centres lie within a N4O donor set, with the four nitrogen donors from L and one of the oxygen atom stemming from the bridging NO3. The complexes show different electrolytic behavior in different solvents. The antibacterial activities of the ligands and complexes towards different phytopathogenic bacteria have been investigated.  相似文献

The host–guest interaction of α-tocopherol (vitamin E) with p-sulfonatocalix[4]arene (p-SC4) in solution state is studied using emission and cyclic voltammetric techniques. The lipid soluble α-tocopherol (α-T) forms a solid complex with p-SC4. FTIR and NMR spectral analysis of the solid complex reveals the tight packing of α-T inside the cavity of p-SC4. The structural deformation is confirmed by XRD analysis. SEM images differentiate the highly porous gel like structure of vitamin E aggregate and the solid structure of the host–guest complex prepared. NOESY spectra confirm the tight penetration of α-T within the hydrophobic cavity of p-SC4.  相似文献

A greener, rapid and regioselective “on water” synthesis of spirooxindole-oxazoline by the reaction of isatin and isocyanoacetate at room temperature is described. The developed protocol has the advantage of being atom-economical, eco-friendly, and benign reaction conditions. Broader substrate scope, experimentally simple procedures, and easy purification of products with high yield further make this method attractive. The synthesized compounds have been fully characterized with spectral analysis.  相似文献

Complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-based image sensors have received increased attention owing to the possibility of incorporating them into portable diagnostic devices. The present research examined the efficiency and sensitivity of a CMOS image sensor for the detection of antigen–antibody interactions involving interferon gamma protein without the aid of expensive instruments. The highest detection sensitivity of about 1 fg/ml primary antibody was achieved simply by a transmission mechanism. When photons are prevented from hitting the sensor surface, a reduction in digital output occurs in which the number of photons hitting the sensor surface is approximately proportional to the digital number. Nanoscale variation in substrate thickness after protein binding can be detected with high sensitivity by the CMOS image sensor. Therefore, this technique can be easily applied to smartphones or any clinical diagnostic devices for the detection of several biological entities, with high impact on the development of point-of-care applications.  相似文献

A series of novel imidazole ligands were synthesized and characterized. Phosphorescence studies of series of heteroleptic cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes reveal that these complexes possess dominantly (3)MLCT and (3)π-π* excited states and the solvent shifts of these complexes are interpreted by Richardt-Dimroth and Marcus solvent functions. The results consistent with prior assignments on the absorption band to a metal-to-ligand charge transfer excited state associated with chelating ligand. Emission kinetic studies exploited that the radiative transition (k(r)), increases with increasing λ(em) and linear correlation exists between ln(k(nr)) and energy gap. Electronic transition theory is applied to study the effect of E(g) and ΔQ(e) on non-radiative transition (k(nr)). With a larger ΔQ(e), favouring vibrational overlap and leading to a larger value for k(nr).  相似文献

A series of substituted imidazoles have been synthesized in very good yield under solvent free condition by grinding 1,2-diketone, arylaldehyde, arylamine and ammonium acetate in the presence of molecular iodine as the catalyst. The short reaction time, good yield and easy workup make this protocol practically and economically attractive and the imidazoles are characterized by NMR spectra, X-ray, mass and CHN analysis. The push-pull character of series of imidazoles have been analyzed by the quotient of the occupations of the bonding (π) and anti-bonding (π*) orbitals of the central linking -N=C-C=C- unit. Excellent correlation of the push-pull parameter with the corresponding bond lengths d(CN) and d(CC) strongly recommend both the occupation quotients (π*/π) and the corresponding bond lengths are reasonable sensors for quantifying the push-pull character and for the molecular hyperpolarizability ?(0) of these compounds. To support the experimental results, theoretical calculations (heat of formation, NLO, NBO and vibrational analysis) were also made. Within this context, reasonable conclusions concerning the steric hindrance in the chromospheres, push-pull character, hyperpolarizability of the imidazoles and their application as NLO materials will be drawn.  相似文献
