Argania spinosa L. Skeels is an emblematic tree in Morocco, known worldwide for its medicinal and nutritional value. Its fruits contain kernels used to prepare an edible oil, the leaves are used to feed livestock, and its wood is used as fuel. If the oil acquires high importance, the other components of the fruit of the argan are undervalued. Our objective is to invest the waste of the argan industry. Particularly, our study aimed to assess the effect of thermal activation of argan pulp on its therapeutic value, its phenolic profile and its functional and physicochemical properties. After heat treatment, the HPLC analysis for the average total phenolic content varied from 2% to 37%, depending on temperature. The antioxidant activity was increased with heat treatment. Higher values of antioxidant activity, polyphenol and pigment content were recorded at 70 °C. Functional properties analysis indicated that water solubility index and water absorption capacity were significantly affected by heat stress. Physicochemical analysis showed that moisture content, titratable acidity and soluble solids were affected.  相似文献

The authors describe the synthesis of a multifunctional nanocomposite with an architecture of type Fe3O4@SiO2@graphene quantum dots with an average diameter of about 22 nm. The graphene quantum dots (GQDs) were covalently immobilized on the surface of silica-coated magnetite nanospheres via covalent linkage to surface amino groups. The nanocomposite displays a strong fluorescence (with excitation/emission peaks at 330/420 nm) that is fairly selectively quenched by Hg2+ ions, presumably due to nonradiative electron/hole recombination annihilation. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the linear response to Hg2+ covers the 0.1 to 70 μM concentration range, with a 30 nM lower detection limit. The high specific surface area and abundant binding sites of the GQDs result in a good adsorption capacity for Hg2+ (68 mg?g?1). The material, due to its superparamagnetism, can be separated by using a magnet and also is recyclable with EDTA so that it can be repeatedly used for simultaneous detection and removal of Hg2+ from contaminated water.

Graphene-based magnetic nanoparticles (G-Fe3O4) were prepared and used as an effective adsorbent for the solid-phase extraction of trace quantities of cadmium from water and vegetable samples. The method avoids some of the time-consuming steps associated with traditional solid phase extraction. The excellent sorption property of the G-Fe3O4 system is attributed to π - π stacking interaction and hydrophobic interactions between graphene and the Cd-PAN complex. The effects of pH, the amount of G–Fe3O4, extraction time, type and volume of eluent, desorption time and interfering ions on the extraction efficiency were optimized. The preconcentration factor is 200. Cd(II) was then quantified by flame atomic absorption spectrometry with a detection limit of 0.32 ng mL?1. The relative standard deviation (at 50 ng mL?1; for n?=?10) is 2.45 %. The method has a linear analytical range from 1.1 to 150 ng mL?1, and the recoveries in case of real samples are in the range between 93.1 % and 102.3 %.

The influence of Gamma irradiation on content of some important flavonoïds (flavonones glycosides and polymethoxylated flavones) was evaluated during storage of Moroccan clementina treated at a mean dose of 0.3 kGy and stored three months at 3′C. Results shows that at day one, gamma irradiation induced degradation of small quantities of these flavonoïds, however after 14 days of storage, the content of these compounds was significantly higher (p≤0.05) in irradiated samples. Irradiation stimulated biosynthesis of flavonoïds after 14 days of storage. Hesperidin was the major flavanones compounds in clementines. Nobiletin and Heptamethoxyflavone were the major polymethoxylated flavones in clementines. Our study demonstrated that the content of these compounds was significantly higher (p≤0.05) in irradiated samples.  相似文献
