ABSTRACT We prepared nano/microgels by precipitation copolymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm), and one of three different carboxyalkyl methacrylamides [methacryloylamido hexanoic acid (M5), 8-methacryloylamido octanoic acid (M7), and 11-methacryloylamido undecanoic acid (M10)], either in the acid forms or as carboxylates (potassium salts). The hydrodynamic diameter (Dh) of the nano/microgels prepared with the carboxylates was smaller (≈100 nm for M10 copolymers), compared to the size of homopolymeric NIPAAm microgels prepared by dispersion polymerization (around 600 nm), indicating that the carboxylates act as surfactants reducing the size of the seeds during the polymerization process. These materials presented a swollen-shrunken transition temperature (T tr) similar to the T tr of the homopolymeric NIPAAm microgels, without pH sensitivity. On the other hand, the copolymeric microgels prepared from the acid form of the comonomers have a similar or bigger size than NIPAAm microgels. For these copolymers, the T tr can be tuned by the type and proportion of acid comonomer used and present pH sensitivity. This is important for biomedical applications such as positive temperature control release. Polyelectrolyte titration demonstrates that the nano/microgels prepared with the carboxylates behave as hard spheres, while the microgels prepared with the weak acid behave as porous materials. 相似文献

To improve the analysis of pesticides in complex food matrices with economic importance, alternative chromatographic techniques, such as supercritical fluid chromatography, can be used. Supercritical fluid chromatography has barely been applied for pesticide analysis in food matrices. In this paper, an analytical method using supercritical fluid chromatography coupled to a photodiode array detection has been established for the first time for the quantification of pesticides in papaya and avocado. The extraction of methyl parathion, atrazine, ametryn, carbofuran, and carbaryl was performed through the quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe methodology. The method was validated using papaya and avocado samples. For papaya, the correlation coefficient values were higher than 0.99; limits of detection and quantification ranged from 130–380 and 220–640 μg/kg, respectively; recovery values ranged from 72.8–94.6%; precision was lower than 3%. For avocado, limit of detection values were ?450 μg/kg; precision was lower than 11%; recoveries ranged from 50.0–94.2%. Method feasibility was tested for lime, banana, mango, and melon samples. Our results demonstrate that the proposed method is applicable to methyl parathion, atrazine, ametryn, and carbaryl, toxics pesticides used worldwide. After more than 50 years, the synthesis and electronic structure of the first and only reported “U0 complex” [U(bipy)4] ( 1 ) has been reinvestigated. Additionally, its one‐electron reduced product [Na(THF)6][U(bipy)4] ( 2 ) has been newly discovered. A partnership in a cooperative game is a coalition that possesses an internal structure and, simultaneously, behaves as an
individual member. Forming partnerships leads to a modification of the original game which differs from the quotient game
that arises when one or more coalitions are actually formed.
In this paper, the Shapley value is used to discuss the convenience to form either coalitions or partnerships. To this end,
the difference between the additive Shapley value of the partnership in the partnership game and the Shapley alliance value
of the coalition, and also between the corresponding value of the internal and external players, are analysed. Simple games
are especially considered.

The coordination of strategies in a cooperative game, when some players decide to act together, is the basis of the partnership notion. Nevertheless, in some situations, it may be more convenient to form an effective coalition or alliance. In this work, we consider the Banzhaf semivalue and use it to discuss the convenience to form either partnerships or alliances, especially in simple games. Answering a question of Miklós Abért, we prove that an infinite profinite group cannot be the union of less than continuum many translates of a compact subset of box dimension less than 1.
