Synthesized hydrated lamellar acidic crystalline magadiite (H2Si14O29·2H2O) nanocompound was used as host for intercalation of polar n-alkylmonoamine molecules of the general formula H3C(CH2)nNH2 (n = 1–6) in aqueous solution. The original interlayer distance (d) of 1500 pm, determined by X-ray powder diffraction patterns, increases after intercalation. The values correlated with the number of aliphatic amine carbon (nc) atoms: d = [(1312 ± 11) + (21 ± 2)]nc. The amount of intercalated amines (Ns), decreased as nc increased: Ns = [(5.82 ± 0.04) − (0.45 ± 0.01)]nc. The acidic layered nanocompound was calorimetrically titrated with the amines and the thermodynamic data gave exothermic values for all guest molecules, as shown by the correlation: ΔintH = −[(24.45 ± 0.49) − (1.91 ± 0.10)]nc and d = [(1576 ± 16) − (10.8 ± 1.0)]ΔintH. The negative values of the Gibbs energies and the positive entropies also presented the correlations: ΔintG = −[(22.8 ± 0.2) − (0.2 ± 0.1)]nc and ΔintS = [(6 ± 1) + (5 ± 1)]nc, respectively. 相似文献

Light scattering measurements have been made on a number of commercially available optical grade glasses. By measuring the spectrum as well as intensity of the scattered light it was found possible both to obtain the total scattered intensity and to identify the origin of the scattering. The optical attenuation coefficient due to scattering was evaluated. It was found that in all glasses studied the total scattered intensity exceeds that in fused silica by at least a factor of two. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to examine the potential of three binary borate glasses; namely PbOB2O3, K2OB2O3 and Li2OB2O3 as candidates for fabrication of low optical loss and low cost fiber-glass wave-guides.The importance of ultrasonic measurements as the first step in a systematic search for a glass with low optical loss, is discussed. Results of ultrasonic measurements of PbOB2O3 system are then presented. Using these results and the published results for the K2OB2O3 and Li2OB2O3 systems, estimates of the magnitude of density fluctuations as a function of composition have been made for each system. Comparison with the previously published results on the K2OSiO2 system suggests that out of the three systems chosen, only 50 mole % Li2O50 mole % B2O3 glass is a likely candidate for the production of low optical loss glass fibers. 相似文献

Vitrification, a simple, fast, and recommended cryopreservation method for orchid germplasm conservation, was evaluated for Dendrobium hybrid “Dong Yai” mature seeds. The genetic stability of regenerated seedlings was also evaluated using flow cytometry. Mature seeds from this hybrid were submitted to plant vitrification solution (PVS2) for 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 h at 0 °C. Subsequently, they were plunged into liquid nitrogen (LN) at ?196 °C for 1 h and recovered in half-strength Murashige and Skoog culture medium (1/2 MS), and seed germination was evaluated after 30 days. Seeds directly submitted to LN did not germinate after cryopreservation. Seeds treated with PVS2 between 1 and 3 h presented the best germination (between 51 and 58 %), although longer exposure to PVS2 returned moderated germination (39 %). Germinated seeds were further subcultured in P-723 culture medium and developed whole seedlings in vitro after 180 days, with no abnormal characteristics, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies. Seedlings were successfully acclimatized under greenhouse conditions with over 80 % survival. Flow cytometry analysis revealed no chromosomal changes on vitrified seedlings, as well as seedlings germinated from the control treatment (direct exposure to LN). These findings indicate that vitrification is a feasible and safe germplasm cryopreservation method for commercial Dendrobium orchid hybrid conservation. 相似文献

The Al-MCM-41 molecular sieve with Si/Al = 20 molar ratio was synthesized at room temperature and characterized by X-ray diffractometry, surface area, thermogravimetry, and infrared spectroscopy. The kinetic study was conducted by Vyazovkin and Ozawa method, in order to verify the activation energy during the Hofmann degradation between 130 and 370 °C, in which most of surfactant removal occurs. The results suggest that the activation energy for template removal is close to 80 kJ mol?1 lower in Al-MCM-41 synthesized at room temperature, when compared to results obtained for mesopores Al-MCM-41 and MCM-41 synthesized by hydrothermal method. This lower activation energy may be understood as consequence of textural properties, such as higher pore size. 相似文献

In this study, densities and speeds of sound were measured over the whole composition range, at T = (298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K and p = 0.1 MPa, for the binary systems of ethanol, or 1-propanol, or 2-propanol and 1-butyl-3-methylpyridinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide, or 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide. The density and speed of sound data were used to calculate the corresponding excess molar volumes and excess molar isentropic compressions, which were fitted with the Redlich–Kister equation.
