Amberlite IRA 900 anion-exchange resin modified with manganese-tetrakis(sulphophenyl)-porphine has been used as a catalyst instead of peroxidase for the determination of hydrogen peroxide by the reaction 2H(2)O(2) + N,N-diethylaniline + 4-aminoantipyrine (catalyst)--> quinonoid dye (lambda(max) 550 nm) + 4H(2)O. The apparent molar absorptivity for hydrogen peroxide was 1.1 x 10(4) 1.mole(-1).cm(-1), coefficient of variation 0.7%. This value is approximately 84% of that obtained by the use of peroxidase as catalyst. Similar conditions to those in the enzymatic reaction were suitable for use of the modified resin as catalyst, and the results show it to be a good substitute for peroxidase in this reaction system.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to derive a system of two renewal equations from individual-level assumptions concerning a cyclin-structured cell population. Nonlinearity arises from the assumption that the rate at which quiescent cells become proliferating is determined by feedback. In fact, we assume that this rate is a nonlinear function of a weighted population size. We characterize steady states and establish the validity of the principle of linearized stability.  相似文献

The uricase-like catalytic activity of the ion-exchange resins modified with metalloporphyrins has been investigated through the oxidation of uric acid. The anion-exchange resins modified with Mn(3+)-tetrakis(sulfophenyl)porphine and the cation-exchange resin modified with Mn(3+)-tetrakis(1-methylpyridinium-4-yl)porphine exhibited the highest uricase-like activity among the modified resins tested. The fact that these resins accelerated the oxidation of uric acid even after ten cycles of use indicates that the modified resins act as catalysts in the reaction catalysed by uricase. Some of the modified resins may be effectively used for the determination of uric acid in place of uricase.  相似文献

The catalytic activity of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide has been investigated for the fluorescent derivatization of kynurenic acid under conditions with no exposure to light. Non-fluorescent kynurenic acid was converted into a fluorescent compound (Ex: 367 nm, Em: 470 nm) with HRP in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, and the optimum conditions of this fluorescent derivatization were investigated. Moreover, this fluorescent derivatization was developed for a spectrofluorometric determination of trace amounts of kynurenic acid by measuring the fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent compound. The calibration curve obtained was linear from 1.0 to 10.0 nmol of kynurenic acid in a 1.0 mL sample solution. The relative standard deviation at 5.0 nmol of kynurenic acid was 5.71% (n=5). By adjusting the bandwidths for both the excitation and emission to 15 nm, the calibration curve was also linear in the range between 0.1 to 1.0 nmol of kynurenic acid in a 1.0 mL sample solution. This method was applied to the fluorometric determination of trace amounts of kynurenic acid in the control sera.  相似文献

The flash photolysis resonance fluorescence technique has been used to reinvestigate the kinetics of the oxygen atom–oxygen molecule combination reaction. Third-order rate constants for O2, N2, and Ar as deactivant molecules were determined over the temperature range of 219–368 K. The results presented herein are the most extensive data sets available for atmospheric modeling and are used to formulate a recommendation for such purposes. An upper limit for the rate constant of the bimolecular reaction CH3 + O2 – OH + H2CO at 368 K has been measured by monitoring OH using the flash photolysis-resonance fluorescence technique. Careful modeling of the system in conjunction with statistical analysis indicates upper limit of k ? 3 x 10?16cm3 molec?1 s?1. The rate constant of the reaction of OH with azomethane has also been measured.  相似文献

Pd-P(t-Bu)3 was found to be a chemoselective catalyst for the reaction of p-phenylenedizinc compound with equimolar amounts of carbon electrophiles to afford the single cross-coupling products in good yields, effectively suppressing the formation of double cross-coupling products. The subsequent additions of other electrophiles to the resulting solutions caused the second cross-coupling of the incipient products to take place, achieving a novel and efficient one-pot synthesis of unsymmetrically 1,4-disubstituted benzenes. The origin of the observed high chemoselectivity was speculated.  相似文献

The catalytic activity for the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by anion-exchangers modified with metal complexes of thiacalix[4]arenetetrasulfonate (Me(n+)-TCAS[4], Me(n+)=Mn(3+), Mn(2+), Fe(3+), Co(3+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+) and Ni(2+)) was investigated. As a reference, calix[4]arenetetrasulfonate, calix[6]arenehexasulfonate and calix[8]areneoctasulfonate were also examined. Mn(3+)- and Fe(3+)-TCAS[4] on the modified anion-exchangers showed high catalytic activity in alkaline buffer solutions among metal complexes tested. Mn(3+)- and Fe(3+)-TCAS[4] on the modified anion-exchangers exhibited high and constant levels of catalytic activity even after having been used 5 times, and showed catalytic activity in the presence of an excess of H(2)O(2) over Mn(3+)- and Fe(3+)-TCAS[4] on the modified anion-exchangers. Only Mn(3+)-TCAS[4] on the modified anion-exchangers exhibited high catalytic activity at around a neutral pH.  相似文献
