Kinetics of aquation of some Fe(II) Schiff base amino acid complexes was followed spectrophotometrically. The Schiff base ligands were derived from salicylaldehyde and isoleucine, leucine, serine, methionine, tryptophan, or histidine. The reaction was studied in aqueous media, aqua–propanol mixtures, and in the presence of different concentrations of KBr. Moreover, the activation parameters were calculated and discussed for structures and other physical properties observed. The reaction was acid catalyzed and the general rate equation was suggested as follows: rate = kobs [complex], where kobs = k2 [H+]. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Changes in mechanical and physical properties of polyurethane thermoplastic during aging at 70 °C and 90 °C were investigated. The loss weight response was analyzed by gravimetric measurements under these temperatures. Changes in appearance and morphology of TPU after thermal aging were revealed by optical microscopy. The prolongation of the thermal exposure time, up to 270 days, leads to a progressive increase in tensile strength. In fact, elastic modulus and stress at 200% of strain were increased with thermal exposure time. These results can be explained by the increase of thermal stability due to the increase of material rigidity and the decrease in chain mobility. The evolution of the mechanical properties from tensile tests seems to be well correlated to the creep behavior. Finally, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) revealed the modification of TPU morphology fracture surface after thermal aging.  相似文献

This article presents a continuous capillary electrophoresis with laser‐induced fluorescence (CE‐LIF) following spectral studies of the noncovalent interactions between novel Squarylium Boronic Acid 4 (SQ‐BA4) & Squarylium Diboronic Acid 2 (SQ‐DBA2) squarylium dyes and human serum albumin (HSA). Two protocols were used wherein the on‐column‐labeling protocol was found to be more sensitive than the precolumn one by showing a better enhancement in the peak area of the HSA–dye complex besides lower limits of detection (LODs) for HSA. Also, stability studies were conducted with or without HSA using precolumn‐labeling mode over one week exhibiting the superiority of SQ‐BA4 to SQ‐DBA2. Then, a mixture containing three model proteins, HSA, β‐lactoglobulin B, and transferrin, was labeled on‐column with both dyes and completely resolved by CE‐LIF after optimization of several parameters. Both dyes provided lower LODs for HSA than those of β‐lactoglobulin B and transferrin with higher sensitivities. In addition, the SQ‐BA4 dye showed again greater sensitivities with all the three proteins than SQ‐DBA2.  相似文献

In this work, a new hybrid material (C5H6N2Cl)2[FeCl4].Cl abbreviated (CAP)2[FeCl4].Cl was prepared using room temperature slow evaporation technique. The X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the compound is crystallized in the centrosymmetric space group P21/c of the monoclinic system. The crystallographic network consists of an Fe(III) ion located on an inversion center and coordinated by four chlorine, isolated Cl and two (CAP)+ protonated cations linked by N–H...Cl and C–H...Cl hydrogen bonds to form a zero-dimensional network. Hirshfeld surface analysis was used to analyze intermolecular interactions present in the crystal structure. The vibrational properties were inspected by means of Infra-Red absorption and Raman diffusion spectroscopy techniques. In addition, theoretical calculations based on the DFT/B3LYP/LanL2DZ method and the time-dependent density functional theory (TD–DFT) were performed in order to gain more information and help in the examination of over-all properties of the title compound. Good and interesting experimental findings were presented and good consistency was found with the calculated results.  相似文献

The kinetics of the oxidation of some Fe(II)–Tris Schiff base complexes by peroxydisulfate was studied spectrophotometrically in the aqueous medium and in the organic–aqua binary mixture. The inspected complexes were derived from the condensation of 2‐acetylpyridine and substituted benzylamines. The oxidation reaction of the studied complexes was followed at 303 K under pseudo–first‐order conditions. It was found that the oxidation reaction by S2O82? consists of two steps. The first step is the formation of an ion pair from the reactants, and the second step is an electron transfer from the metal center to the peroxydisulfate oxidant, with an associated peroxo bond fissure. A mechanism, based on the experimental results, was proposed, and the rate law was derived. The effect of organic solvent on the reaction rate was studied in the presence of different ratios (v/v) of methanol–water and acetone–water mixtures. Moreover, the changes in the activation barrier from water to water–methanol and water–acetone mixtures were estimated from the kinetic data. The transfer chemical potentials of the initial and transition states from water into mixed solvents were determined from solubility measurements. Solvent effects on the reaction rate were discussed in terms of initial state versus transition state solvation.  相似文献

Kinetics of acid‐catalyzed hydrolysis of some high‐spin Fe(II) Schiff base amino acid complexes were followed spectrophotometrically at 298 K under pseudo–first‐order conditions. The studied ligands were derived from the condensation of 5‐bromosalicylaldehyde with different four amino acids (phenylalanine, aspartic acid, histidine, and arginine). The acid hydrolysis reaction was studied in aqueous media and in the presence of different concentrations of the alkali halide (KBr) and cationic surfactant (cetyl‐trimethyl ammonium bromide, CTAB). The general rate equation was suggested to be rate = kobs[complex], where kobs = k2[H+]. The increase in [KBr] enhances the reactivity of the reaction, and the addition of CTAB to the reaction mixture accelerates the reaction reactivity. The obtained kinetic data were used to determine the values of δmΔG# (the change in the activation barrier) for the studied complexes when transferred from “water to water containing different [KBr]” and from “water to water containing altered [CTAB].”  相似文献

Combination therapy of many anthelmintic drugs has been used to achieve fast animal curing. Q-DRENCH is an oral suspension, containing four different active drugs against GIT worms in sheep, commonly used in Australia and New Zeeland. The anti-parasitic drugs are Albendazole (ALB), Levamisole HCl (LEV), Abamectin (ABA), and Closantel (CLO). The main purpose of this study is to present a new simultaneous stability-indicting HPLC-DAD method for the analysis of the four drugs. The recommended liquid system was 1 mL of Triethylamine/L water, adjusting the pH to 3.5 by glacial acetic acid: acetonitrile solvent (20:80, v/v). Isocratic elusion achieved the desired results of separation at a 2 mL/min flow rate using Zorbax C-18 as a stationary phase. Detection was performed at 210 nm. The linearity ranges were 15.15 to 93.75 μg/mL for ALB, 25 to 150 μg/mL for LEV, 30 to 150 μg/mL for ABA, and 11.7 to 140.63 μg/mL for CLO. Moreover, the final greenness score was 0.62 using the AGREE tool, which reflects the eco-friendly nature. Moreover, the four drugs were determined successfully in the presence of their stressful degradation products. This work presents the first chromatographic method for simultaneous analysis for Q-DRENCH oral suspension drugs in the presence of their stressful degradation products.  相似文献
