Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy have been applied for investigation of electrochemically polished Bi(111) electrode in 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium tris(pentafluoroethyl)trifluorophosphate (EMImFAP), 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetracyanoborate (EMImTCB) and 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMImBF4) ionic liquids. The region of ideal polarizability, series resistance and capacitance, limiting high-frequency and low-frequency capacitances have been calculated. The lower series capacitance values at electrode potential less negative than the potential of the minimum in the capacitance vs. voltage curve for Bi(111)|EMImFAP than that for EMImBF4, and especially for EMImTCB, have been explained by the bigger diameter of FAP?, higher cation and anion sizes symmetry, and less expressed surface activity (i.e. lower closest approach of the FAP? mass centre to an electrode surface) compared with BF4? and TCB? anions.  相似文献

We investigated the Fe-site substitution effect on the structural and magnetic properties of the infinite layer iron oxide Sr(Fe(1-x)M(x))O(2) (M = Co, Mn) using synchrotron X-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction, and (57)Fe Mo?ssbauer spectroscopy. Both systems have a similar solubility limit of x ≈ 0.3, retaining the ideal infinite layer structure with a space group of P4/mmm. For the Fe-Co system, both in-plane and out-of-plane axes decrease linearly and only slightly with x, reflecting the ionic radius difference between Fe(2+) and Co(2+). For the Fe-Mn system the lattice evolution also follows Vegard's law but is anisotropic: the in-plane axis increases, while the out-of-plane decreases prominently. The magnetic properties are little influenced by Co substitution. On the contrary, Mn substitution drastically destabilizes the G-type magnetic order, featured by a significant reduction and a large distribution of the hyperfine field in the Mo?ssbauer spectra, which suggests the presence of magnetic frustration induced presumably by a ferromagnetic out-of-plane Mn-Fe interaction.  相似文献

We have successfully implemented a facile, one-pot solventless synthesis procedure starting from acetylacetonate salts and CaH(2) to obtain carbon-coated ferromagnetic metallic Ni and Fe nanoparticles at low temperature. The use of CaH(2) as a reductant drastically reduces reaction temperature down to 140 °C.  相似文献

Adsorption of iodide ions at the Bi(111) and Cd(0001) electrodes from the aqueous solutions with constant ionic strength 0.1x M KI + 0.1(1−x) M KF and 0.1x M KI + 0.033(1−x) M K2SO4 has been studied by impedance spectroscopy. It was found that, to a first approximation, the classical Frumkin–Melik–Gaikazyan equivalent circuit with the slow diffusion-like and adsorption steps can be applied for fitting the experimental impedance data for iodide ions adsorption on Bi(111) and Cd(0001) from aqueous solutions with constant ionic strength. The modified Grafov–Damaskin circuit can be used in the region of electrode potentials, where parallel faradic processes (electroreduction of protons, oxygen traces) are probable. The more complicated Ershler equivalent circuit, taking into account the slow diffusion-like, adsorption and charge transfer steps, is not applicable for characterization of the adsorption process of I at Bi(111) and Cd(0001) electrodes.  相似文献

Collision‐induced dissociation (CID) of the Cs+ heterodimer adducts of the nitrate anion (NO3?) and a variety of substituted benzoates (XBenz?) [(XBenz?)(Cs+)(NO3?)]? produces essentially nitrate and benzoate ions. A plot of the natural logarithm of their intensity ratio, ln[I (NO3?)/I(XBenz?)], versus the calculated cesium cation affinity (DFT B3LYP) of the substituted benzoate ions (equivalent to the enthalpy of heterolytic dissociation of the salt) is reasonably linear. This suggests that the kinetic method can be used as a source of data on the intrinsic interaction between the anionic and the cationic moieties in a salt. The electrochemistry nowadays has many faces and challenges. Although the focus has shifted from fundamental electrochemistry to applied electrochemistry, one needs to acknowledge that it is impossible to develop and design novel green energy transition devices without a comprehensive understanding of the electrochemical processes at the electrode and electrolyte interface that define the performance mechanisms. The review gives an overview of the systematic research in the field of electrochemistry in Estonia which reflects on the excellent collaboration between fundamental and applied electrochemistry.
