Interactions of vibrationally excited CO2 with oxygen and sulfur atoms

The classical-path method has been used in calculations on O+CO₂ CO+ O₂ and S+CO₂ CO+SO for vibrational-translational disequilibrium. The vibrational-energy localization in various modes in CO₂ affects the reaction cross section and rate constant. New cage-like metallasiloxane containing Fe<Superscript>III</Superscript> ions in different coordination spheres

The first cage-like ferrophenyl siloxane containing Fe^III ions in different coordination spheres (four iron ions have a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination and two iron ions have a distorted octahedral coordination) was synthesized by the exchange reaction of sodium phenylsilanolate with Fe^III chloride. An exotic lantern-like structure is formed with the involvement of two metal oxide fragments Fe—O—Fe. The structure of this compound was established by X-ray diffraction. Radical-chain reactions of CCl4 with hydrocarbons in the presence of silica-immobilized copper-containing catalysts

The activities of two catalytic systems toward the exchange reaction of CCl₄ with hydrocarbons are compared: a copper chloride complex with DMF and polycopperphenylsiloxane (PCPS). PCPS is a very stable catalyst. It completely preserves its catalytic activity after six catalytic cycles. Competitive reactions with the pairs of hydrocarbons suggested a radical-chain mechanism for the title reaction for both catalysts.     

Chromium-tricarbonyl complexes of phenyl-containing cyclosiloxane

Conclusions The reaction of different cyclosiloxanes with chromium-carbonyls was studied. Effect of free-stream turbulence on surface friction in a turbulent boundary layer

The combined effect of the turbulence intensity , the turbulence scaleL, and the Reynolds number Re^** on the surface friction coefficientc _f in a turbulent boundary layer is studied. The dependence of the relative friction increment on the equivalent turbulence level _cq, which takes into account the simultaneous variation in ,L and Re^**, is determined. The threshold value _cq ^* below which the value ofc _f does not depend on _cq is found.Moscow. Vibrations of a gas-filled spherical cavity in pseudoplastic and dilatant liquids

Questions of the dynamics of bubbles in a liquid are connected with problems of cavitation [1]. In connection with cavitation phenomena in non-Newtonian media, in particular in polymeric liquids [2, 3], a study is made of the pulsations of a bubble in a polymeric liquid with an exponential rheological law. The equation of the motion of the boundary of the gas cavity is integrated numerically; here, the cases of pseudo-plastic and dilatant liquids are discussed separately.
