The present paper gives a more complete treatment of the scattering from a two-dimensional random surface than previous works. Reciprocal theorems for the stochastic wave field and the incoherent scattering distribution (bistatic cross section) are derived and the presence of backscattering enhancement in the case of a slightly random Neumann surface is demonstrated. A physical interpretation of the backscattering enhancement associated with the presence of anomalous scattering on a slightly random Neumann surface is given. Nuclear spin manipulation using an interface of diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMSs) is proposed. On the basis of the first-principles electronic structure calculation, we show that the hyperfine fields at an impurity site in the interface between a DMS and a base substance is dramatically changed by an external electric field. Condensation of α-halocarbonyl compounds and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole gives thiazolo-[3,2-a]benzimidazoles. This condensation occurred at the mercapto group of the benzimidazole followed by cyclization to form the thiazole ring. The fundamental research work with simulated coal-fired flue gas was performed in JAERI to get basic data for electron beam treatment of flue gas from thermal power plants in Japan. The standard condition of the experiments was set to be the same as that of next large scale pilot test in Nagoya. The concentrations of NOx and SOx were 225 ppm and 800 ppm, respectively. The temperature of the system was 65°C. The effect of multiple irradiation was observed for NOx removal. The target SOx and NOx removals (94% and 80%, respectively) with low NH3 leakage (less than 10 ppm) were achieved at 9 kGy irradiation with 0.9 NH3 stoichiometry during 7 hours continuous operation. The facility for the pilot plant (12,000 Nm3/hr) has just built at the site of Shin-Nagoya power plant of Chubu Electric Power Company and will be started in full operation in November 1992. 相似文献

Animal fibrous proteins (AFPs) such as egg-shell membrane (ESM), chicken feather (CF), wool, silk, or elastin are an intricate
network of stable and water-insoluble fibers with high surface area and are abundant bioresources. Every AFP tested was found
to accumulate gold-cyanide ion from aqueous solutions in high yield, depending on pH and some other parameters. Gold-cyanide
ion is adsorbed by AFP at low pH range, with maximum binding observed at approx pH 2.0. Under the certain conditions, gold-cyanide
ion was accumulated up to 8.6, 7.1, 9.8, 2.4, and 3.9% of dry weight on ESM, CF, wool, silk, and elastin, respectively. In
the case of ESM, it was found that ESM removed gold-cyanide ion almost quantitatively and almost all the gold uptake by ESM
was easily desorbed with 0.1M NaOH. ESM can be used repeatedly for the process of gold adsorption-desorption. The gold-biosorptive capacity of ESM that
was chemically modified with glutaraldehyde was higher than that of control. In column procedure, ESM packed on column removed

The cyclic voltammetric study of 1,10-phenanthroline—copper(II) complex was carried out in acidic buffer solution. Abstract— Photodynamic efficiency of protoporphyrin IX (PP) accumulated in HeLa cells by the incubation of PP with HeLa cells was compared with that of accumulated PP formed from 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) as a precursor. The ALA-induced PP was photodynamically more efficient than exogenous PP. The difference is caused by monomelic PP concentration and PP localization site in HeLa cells. Exogenous PP was accumulated mainly in plasma membrane, and the membrane was strongly damaged by irradiation. The ALA-induced PP was selectively accumulated in mitochondria and inactivated the mitochondrial function by irradiation. 相似文献
