The role played by electronically excited oxygen in exoemission and heterogeneous catalysis is considered. The results obtained in a study of thermally stimulated exoemission from the surface of Al2O3 and SiO2 are compared with data of temperature-programmed desorption of singlet oxygen O2(1Δg) from the surface of Al2O3 and HZSM-5 zeolites with different SiO2/Al2O3 ratios. The role played by electronically excited oxygen states in heterogeneous catalysis is discussed on the basis of our own and literature data. Thermally stimulated exoemission after the action of an electron flow is considered taking into account electron-stimulated desorption and the available data on electron bombardment in catalysis.  相似文献

Donor-acceptor properties of alumina modified with lithium cations were studied by ESR of paramagnetic complexes of adsorbed anthraquinone. The results were compared with the data on negative ion emission (exoemission) accompanying the decomposition of isopropyl alcohol in the adsorption layer. The data on the activity measured by the pulse microcatalytic technique in isopropyl alcohol decomposition are discussed. Small additives of lithium were found to promote catalytic activity of the samples. The role of acid and basic sites in isopropyl alcohol decomposition was discussed. Diffuse scattering IR spectroscopy was used to study the 10% Co/Al2O3 catalyst for the synthesis of aliphatic hydrocarbons from CO and H2. Ionic and metallic cobalt forms were identified in the IR spectroscopy. The adsorption of CO on these forms is accompanied by the appearance of linear and bridged complexes. After prolonged treatment of the catalyst by a CO + 2H2 mixture, the ions and surface of metallic cobalt remain available for the adsorption of CO. Modification of the surface of metallic cobalt occurs upon the action of the reaction medium. This modification is seen in a bathochromic displacement of the IR bands for the adsorbed and linear CO forms. Samples of a catalyst CA-1 for ammonia synthesis were studied. After reduction the samples were treated with CO2 or with a mixture of 1% O2+2.4% H2O+CO2 at temperatures between 600 and 783 K. Mössbauer spectroscopy data indicate that above 600 K carbide phases and magnetite are formed. A probable mechanism for carbide formation is suggested.  相似文献
