Without solvents present, the often far-from-equilibrium environment in a mechanochemically driven synthesis can generate high-energy, non-stoichiometric products not observed from the same ratio of reagents used in solution. Ball milling 2 equiv. K[A’] (A’=[1,3-(SiMe3)2C3H3]) with CaI2 yields a non-stoichiometric calciate, K[CaA’3], which initially forms a structure ( 1 ) likely containing a mixture of pi- and sigma-bound allyl ligands. Dissolved in arenes, the compound rearranges over the course of several days to a structure ( 2 ) with only η3-bound allyl ligands, and that can be crystallized as a coordination polymer. If dissolved in alkanes, however, the rearrangement of 1 to 2 occurs within minutes. The structures of 1 and 2 have been modeled with DFT calculations, and 2 initiates the anionic polymerization of methyl methacrylate and isoprene; for the latter, under the mildest conditions yet reported for a heavy Group 2 species (one-atm pressure and room temperature).  相似文献

Milling two equivalents of K[1,3‐(SiMe3)2C3H3] (=K[A′]) with MgX2 (X=Cl, Br) produces the allyl complex [K2MgA′4] ( 1 ). Crystals grown from toluene are of the solvated species [((η6‐tol)K)2MgA′4] ([ 1 ?2(tol)]), a trimetallic monomer with both bridging and terminal (η1) allyl ligands. When recrystallized from hexanes, the unsolvated 1 forms a 2D coordination polymer, in which the Mg is surrounded by three allyl ligands. The C?C bond lengths differ by only 0.028 Å, indicating virtually complete electron delocalization. This is an unprecedented coordination mode for an allyl ligand bound to Mg. DFT calculations indicate that in isolation, an η3‐allyl configuration on Mg is energetically preferred over the η1‐ (σ‐bonded) arrangement, but the Mg must be in a low coordination environment for it to be experimentally realized. Methyl methacrylate is effectively polymerized by 1 , with activities that are comparable to K[A′] and greater than the homometallic magnesium complex [{MgA′2}2].  相似文献

This paper presents a preliminary study in building discriminant models from solid-state NMR spectrometry data to detect the presence of acetaminophen in over-the-counter pharmaceutical formulations. The dataset, containing 11 spectra of pure substances and 21 spectra of various formulations, was processed by partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA). The model found coped with the discrimination, and its quality parameters were acceptable. It was found that standard normal variate preprocessing had almost no influence on unsupervised investigation of the dataset. The influence of variable selection with the uninformative variable elimination by PLS method was studied, reducing the dataset from 7601 variables to around 300 informative variables, but not improving the model performance. The results showed the possibility to construct well-working PLS-DA models from such small datasets without a full experimental design.  相似文献

Summary.  Sparingly water soluble complexes of lead(II), cadmium(II), and zinc(II) with N-phosphonomethylglycine (glyphosate, NPMG) of the general formulae C3H6O5NPPb, C3H6O5NPCdċ2H2O, and C3H6O5NPZn were synthesized. The complexes were also precipited from a dilute Roundup solution, and their solubility in water was determined. Thermal, diffractometric, and IR spectrophotometric analyses were carried out. It was found that the metal is bonded to glyphosate through the oxygen atoms of the carboxylic and phosphonate groups; metal-nitrogen binding is absent in the above compounds. Studying the complexing behaviour in solution by UV spectrophotometry pointed out that a complex of the composition Pb(II) : NPMG=1:1 with an absorption band at 232 nm is formed. Its stability constant as determined by Job’s method is logK=5.9±0.1. Using potentiometric techniques, the dissociation constant of N-phosphonomethylglycine and the stability constants of its complexes with cadmium (II) and zinc (II) were determined. A simple design for performing rapid temperature jumps within a high‐resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) setting is presented and exemplified. The design is based on mounting, around a conventional NMR glass tube, an inductive radiofrequency (RF) irradiation coil that is suitably tuned by a resonant circuit and is driven by one of the NMR's console high‐power RF amplifiers. The electric fields generated by this coil's thin metal strips can lead to a fast and efficient heating of the sample, amounting to temperature jumps of ≈ 20 °C in well within a second—particularly in the presence of lossy dielectric media like those provided by physiological buffers. Moreover, when wound around a 4‐mm NMR tube, the resulting device fits a conventional 5‐mm inverse probe and is wholly compatible with the field homogeneities and sensitivities expected for high‐resolution biomolecular NMR conditions. The performance characteristics of this new system were tested using saline solutions, as well as on a lyotropic liquid crystal capable of undergoing nematic → isotropic transitions in the neighborhood of ambient temperature. These settings were then incorporated into the performance of a new kind of single‐scan 2D NMR spectroscopy acquisition, correlating the anisotropic and isotropic patterns elicited by solutes dissolved in such liquid‐crystalline systems, before and after a sudden temperature jump occurring during an intervening mixing period. Most of theoretical data on the stability of radical anions supported by nucleic acid bases have been obtained for anions of isolated nucleobases, their nucleosides, or nucleotides. This approach ignores the hallmark forces of DNA, namely, hydrogen bonding and pi-stacking interactions. Since these interactions might be crucial for the electron affinities of nucleobases bound in DNA, we report for the first time on the stability of the thymine valence anion in trimers of complementary bases possessing the regular B-DNA geometry but differing in base sequence. In order to estimate the energetics of electron attachment to a trimer, we developed a thermodynamic cycle employing all possible two-body interaction energies in the neutral and anionic duplex as well as the adiabatic electron affinity of isolated thymine. All calculations were carried out at the MP2 level of theory with the aug-cc-pVDZ basis set. The two-body interaction energies were corrected for the basis set superposition error, and in benchmark systems, they were extrapolated to the basis set limit and supplemented with correction for higher order correlation terms calculated at the CCSD(T) level. We have demonstrated that the sequence of nucleic bases has a profound effect on the stability of the thymine valence anion: the anionic 5'-CTC-3' (6.0 kcal/mol) sequence is the most stable configuration, and the 5'-GTG-3' (-8.0 kcal/mol) trimer anion is the most unstable species. On the basis of obtained results, one can propose DNA sequences that are different in their vulnerability to damage by low energy electron.  相似文献

Two monomeric, six-coordinated magnesium complexes with bulky aminophenolate ligands [(Htbpoa)2Mg] (1) and [(Htbpca)2Mg(THF)2] (2), where Htbpoa =N-[methyl(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)]-N-methyl-N-methyl-1,3-dioxolaneamine and Htbpca =N-[methyl(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)]-N-methyl-N-cyclohexylamine have been prepared, characterized and employed as initiators for lactide polymerization. The crystal structure of the homoleptic compound 1 has been determined and shows that the six-coordinate magnesium atom in 1 is surrounded by two tridendate tbpoa ligands. In the solution, however, complex 1 exists in equilibrium with a five-coordinate species 1a having one oxolane fragment dangling. The tbpoa and tbpca ligands in 1 and 2 play a dual role, as the ancillary ligand stabilizing the monomeric magnesium species and as the initiating polymerization group.  相似文献

Enantiopure trinuclear Cu(II) complexes 3 and 4 of macrocyclic amine 1 derived from the 3 + 3 condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol and (1S,2S)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane have been synthesized and characterized by ESI MS and NMR spectroscopy. The X-ray crystal structures of both complexes have been determined. The structure of the chloride derivative 3 indicates unusual combination of distorted tetragonal bipyramidal, square pyramidal and square geometries of the three Cu(II) ions bound by macrocycle 1. The acetate complex 4 also exhibits unsymmetrical trinuclear core with the bridging and terminal acetate anions. The complexation of Cu(II) ions by macrocycle 1 has been studied using potentiometric methods and both protonation and binding constants of 1 have been determined. The distribution of the complex forms indicates cooperative binding of three metal ions by 1. The overall magnetic behaviour for 3 corresponds to an antiferromagnetically coupled triangular system. Compound 4 shows the presence of antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -74.9(1) cm(-1)) between the metal centers in equilateral triangular array.  相似文献
