We examine the long-run average availability and cost rate of a maintained system which deteriorates according to a random-shock process. Shocks arrive according to a Poisson process. The system fails whenever the cumulative damage exceeds a given threshold. The system's failures are not self-announcing, hence, failures must be detected via inspections. The system is inspected at periodic or exponentially distributed intervals. Systems are replaced by preventive maintenance or after failure (corrective maintenance), whichever occurs first. When the distribution function of the shock magnitudes belongs to the class of subexponential distributions, we obtain simple approximations for the availability and the cost rate. We examine the limiting average availability of a maintained system that deteriorates due to random shock process and as a response to its usage (wear out). System’s failures are not self-announcing, hence, failures must be detected via inspection. We consider randomly occurring shocks that arrive according to a Poisson process and cumulatively damage the system. Two models are considered: in Model 1 the shock and wear out processes are independent of the external environment and in Model 2, the shocks arrival rate, the shock magnitudes and the wear out rate are governed by a random environment which evolves as a Markov process. We obtain the system’s availability for both models.  相似文献

Effective values of reaction order with respect to ligand P, transfer coefficient α, and exchange current i 0 at constant silver surface coverages θ by sulfide ions are measured. The employed solutions contained from 0.4 to 0.05 M thiocarbamide, 0.5 M HClO4, 10?4 M AgNO3, and from 10?5 to 10?4 M Na2S. It is shown that the exchange current grows approximately linearly from 10?5 to 1.5 × 10?4 A/cm2 at θ increase in the range from zero to 0.8, while α and P values grow negligibly in the ranges of 0.4–0.45 and 0.9–1.1, accordingly. The obtained results are compared with the data of similar studies of the gold behavior in acidic thiocarbamide solutions. The possible reasons for the different effects of sulfide ion chemisorption on the anodic dissolution of gold and silver in the studied solutions are discussed.  相似文献
