A method for the chemoselective reduction of glycopyranosyl azides using SnCl4 and tin metal as the reducing agent followed by in situ chloroacetylation of the synthesized glycopyranosyl amine was developed. Clusters of galaxies are excellent probes of cosmic structure and evolution. X-ray studies of clusters provide some of their
key parameters, viz., temperature of the hot intra-cluster gas, its metallicity, X-ray luminosity and surface brightness giving
mass distribution and mass-flow rate in the case of cooling flows. X-ray measurements for a large sample of clusters have
lead to estimates of the total gravitating mass in them, which can be compared to the virial masses derived from dynamical
considerations and gravitational lensing in some of them. X-ray derived total masses are consistent with masses obtained from
the other methods after the effects due to the presence of cooling flows are taken into account in the analyses. Estimated
virial masses, lack of evolution in X-ray properties, and detection of several very hot clusters at high redshifts indicate
a Universe with a low value (≤ 0.3) for the Ω parameter. 相似文献

Taking inspiration from biomotors, scientists are aiming to find the best architecture for self‐propulsion, understand the mechanisms of motion, and develop accurate control over the motion. Remotely guided nanomotors can transport cargo to desired targets, drill into biomaterials, sense their environment, mix or pump fluids, and clean polluted water. Two protocols for the efficient transformation of aromatic as well as aliphatic primary carboxamides to the corresponding carbamates and aromatic as well as aliphatic cyclic imides to the corresponding anthranilic acid derivatives & amino acid derivatives, respectively, are described. We also developed a novel methodology to the multigram scale synthesis of gabapentin and (S)-pregabalin. Half life for the emission of exotic clusters like 8Be, 12C, 16O, 20Ne, 24Mg and 28Si are computed taking Coulomb and proximity potentials as interacting barrier and many of these are found well within the
present upper limit of measurement. These results lie very close to those values reported by Shanmugam et al using their cubic plus Yukawa plus exponential model (CYEM). It is found that 12C and 16O emissions from 116Ce and 16O from 118Ce are most favorable for measurement (T
1/2<1010 s). Lowest half life time for 16O emission from 116Ce stress the role of doubly magic 100Sn daughter in exotic decay. Geiger-Nuttall plots were studied for different clusters and are found to be linear. Inclusion
of proximity potential will not produce much deviation to linear nature of Geiger-Nuttall plots. It is observed that neutron
excess in the parent nuclei slow down the exotic decay process. These findings support the earlier observations of Gupta and

A general and expedient method based on a click reaction has been developed for the synthesis of novel glycolipids. The Cu(I) catalyzed [3+2] cycloaddition of several fully acetylated β- as well as α-d-glycopyranosyl azides, including the 1,6-diazide derived from d-glucose, with long chain alkyl propargyl ethers gave the respective 1,4-substituted 1,2,3-triazole derivatives in good yields. Treatment of fully acetylated N-(β-glycopyranosyl)azidoacetamides under similar conditions with alkyl propargyl ethers afforded the 1,2,3-triazolylacetamido derivatives in fairly good yields. Zemplen de-O-acetylation of all the fully acetylated derivatives furnished the free glycolipids in quantitative yields. 相似文献

An improved method for the synthesis of per-O-acetylated C-1-hydroxyglycopyranose was developed by hydrolysis of per-O-acetylated glycopyranosyl α-chlorides derived from sugars with C-2 axial acetates for example l-rhamnose and d-mannose. 2,3,4-Tri-O-acetyl-α-l-rhamnopyranose crystallized in tetragonal space group I4, a rare phenomenon in carbohydrate literature. The three dimensional packing of the molecule with the help of regular hydrogen bond and C–H···O interactions resulted in the formation of porous framework showing channels with pore size 7 Å. 相似文献

Biofilms of the electroactive bacterium Geobacter sulfurreducens were induced to grow on graphite-rod electrodes under a potential of 0 V (vs Ag/AgCl) in the presence of acetate as an electron donor. Increased anodic currents for bioelectrocatalytic oxidation of acetate were obtained when the electrodes were incubated for longer periods with periodic electron-donor feeding. The maximum current density for acetate oxidation increased 2.8-fold, and the biofilm thickness increased by 4.25-fold, over a time period of 83-147 h. Cyclic voltammetry in the presence of acetate supports a model of heterogeneous electron transfer, one electron at time, from biofilm to electrode through a dominant redox species centered at -0.41 V vs Ag/AgCl. Voltammetry performed under nonturnover conditions provided an estimate of the surface coverage of the redox species of 25 nmol/cm(2). This value was used to estimate a redox species concentration of 7.3 mM within the 34-μm-thick biofilm and a charge-transport diffusion coefficient of 3.6 × 10(-7) cm(2)/s. This value of diffusion coefficient is greater than that observed in traditional thin-film voltammetric studies with redox polymer films containing much higher surface concentrations of redox species and might be associated with proton transport to ensure electroneutrality within the biofilm upon electrolysis. 相似文献

The upper critical field, irreversibility line and critical current density have been determined using magnetization data.
The current-voltage characteristics recorded under an applied magnetic field revealed the existence of vortex glass transition.
