A mild conversion of arylboronic acids and their pinacolyl boronate esters into phenols using hydroxylamine

Hydroxylamine was found to be a mild reagent for conversion of arylboronic acids and their pinacolyl boronate esters into phenols. This procedure works on most arylboronic acids at room temperature, yielding phenols in moderate to good yields, and efficiently on arylboronates also yielding phenols in good yields.     

Two Optimal General Classes of Iterative Methods with Eighth-Order

Two new three-step classes of optimal iterative methods to approximate simple roots of nonlinear equations, satisfying the Kung-Traub’s conjecture, are designed. The development of the methods and their convergence analysis are provided joint with a generalization of both processes. In order to check the goodness of the theoretical results, some concrete methods are extracted and numerical and dynamically compared with some known methods.     

A facile route to highly functionalized ketenimines

Summary A one-pot synthesis of highly functionalized ketenimines by reaction of alkyl isocyanides with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates in presence of 1,3-diphenylpropan-1,3-dione is reported.

Dithiocarbamates as an Efficient Intermediate for the Synthesis of Symmetrical Substituted 2,5‐Diamino‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles in Water

Synthesis of symmetrical substituted 2,5‐diamino‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles is described. Reaction of easily prepared dithiocarbamates with hydrazine gives the corresponding thiadiazoles in moderate to good yields. This method is new, efficient, and simple especially in the work‐up procedure.     

Silica triflate as an efficient reagent for the solvent-free synthesis of coumarins

Silica triflate,as a new silica-based reagent,can be used for the efficient synthesis of 4-substituted coumarins via a Pechmann reaction under solvent-free reaction conditions.All reactions were performed at 80℃in good to high yields.
