We have developed a heterogenized catalyst (‘SiO2’–NH2–RuIII) by the immobilization of [Ru(acac)2(CH3CN)2]PF6 on SiO2. The catalyst was characterized by SEM, solid state NMR, EPR, FT-IR, ICP, and BET surface area analyses. ‘SiO2’–NH2–RuIII catalyzed the selective oxidation of alcohols with periodic acid in water at room temperature. This protocol was applicable to the controlled oxidation of structurally diverse primary and secondary alcohols. The catalyst could be quantitatively recovered and reused up to six cycles without significant loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

Two new half‐sandwich Ru (II)(p‐cymene) complexes ( 1 and 2 ) containing dopamine‐based (N, O) Schiff base ligands ( L 1 H and L 2 H ) were synthesized and characterized by FT‐IR, UV–Visible and 1H & 13C NMR spectral techniques, and elemental analyses. The spectroscopic and analytical data revealed monobasic bidentate coordination of the ligands with Ru ion. The molecular structures of L 1 H , L 2 H and 2 were further confirmed by single crystal X‐ray diffraction study. Complexes 1 and 2  have been employed as catalysts in the transfer hydrogenation of ketones using 2‐propanol as a hydrogen source at 85 °C under base‐free condition. Good to the excellent yield of secondary alcohols, gram scale synthesis, and high TON and TOF made this catalytic system interesting.  相似文献

Ruthenium acts as a good catalyst for the racemization reaction of secondary alcohols and amines. Ruthenium-catalyzed racemization is coupled with enzymatic kinetic resolution to prepare chiral compounds in 100% theoretical yield. Ten ruthenium complexes (110) act as a good catalyst the for racemization reaction and are also compatible with DKR process. Two other ruthenium complexes [RuCl2(PPh3)3] and [Cp*RuCl(COD)] are active for racemization reaction but their successful compatibility with DKR has not yet been reported. Ru/γ-Al2O3 and Ru–HAP are the heterogeneous catalysts used for the racemization reaction. They have also not been employed for DKR process. Polymer supported ruthenium is employed as a reusable racemization catalyst for aerobic DKR of alcohols.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of several hexa‐coordinated ruthenium(III) Schiff base complexes of the type [RuX(EPh3)(L)] (X = Cl or Br; E = P or As; L = dianion of the tetradentate Schiff base) are reported. IR, EPR, electronic spectra and cyclic voltammetric data of the complexes are discussed. An octahedral geometry has been tentatively proposed for all of these complexes. The new complexes have been subjected to catalytic activity in the reaction of oxidation of alcohols in the presence of N‐methylmorpholine‐N‐oxide. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of new mixed ligand hexacoordinated ruthenium(III) Schiff base complexes of the type [RuX(2)(EPh(3))(2)(LL')] (X=Cl, E=P; X=Cl or Br, E=As and LL'=anion of the Schiff bases derived from the condensation of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde with aniline, 4-chloroaniline, 2-methyl aniline and 4-methoxy aniline) are reported. All the complexes have been characterized by analytical and spectral (IR, electronic and EPR) data. The redox behavior of the complexes has also been studied. The complexes exhibit catalytic activity in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde in the presence of N-methyl morpholine-N-oxide (NMO). An octahedral structure has been proposed for all of the complexes.  相似文献

Summary Ru/g-Al2O3 catalyzed the dehydrogenation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds without employing hydrogen acceptor. The catalyst was readily recovered from the reaction mixture and could be reused.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [Ru(CO)(EPh(3))(B)(L)] (E = P or As; B = PPh(3), AsPh(3), py or pip; L=dianion of the Schiff bases derived from thiosemicarbazone with acetoacetanilide, acetoacet-o-toluidide and o-chloro acetoacetanilide) have been synthesized from the reactions of equimolar amounts of [RuHCl(CO)(EPh(3))(2)(B)] and Schiff bases in benzene. The new complexes have been characterized by analytical and spectral (IR, electronic, NMR) data. The arrangement of PPh(3) groups around ruthenium metal was determined from (31)P NMR spectra. An octahedral structure has been assigned for all the new complexes. All the complexes exhibited catalytic activity for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol and cyclohexanol in presence of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide as co-oxidant. The complexes also exhibited antibacterial activity against E. coli, Aeromonas hydrophilla and Salmonella typhi. The activity was compared with standard streptomycin.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [Ru(CO)(EPh3)(B)(L)] (E = P or As; B = PPh3, AsPh3, py or pip; L = dianion of the Schiff bases derived from the condensation of salicyloyl hydrazide with acetone, ethyl methyl ketone and salicylaldehyde have been synthesised by the reaction of equimolar amounts of [RuHCl(CO)(EPh3)2(B)] and Schiff bases in benzene. The resulting complexes have been characterized by analytical and spectral (i.r., electronic, n.m.r.) data. The arrangements of Ph3P groups around the Ru metal was determined from 31P-n.m.r. spectra. An octahedral structure has been assigned to all the new complexes. All the complexes exhibit catalytic activity for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol and cyclohexanol in the presence of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide as co-oxidant.  相似文献

The utility of nickel hydroxyapatite nanocomposite (Ni-HAp) as a green catalyst for solvent free, microwave-assisted Henry reaction using nitromethane and a series of aromatic aldehydes as substrates is presented. The selected catalyst performed well to afford the respective nitrostyrenes which were quantified by gas chromatography equipped with a mass spectral detector (GC–MS). A few of the products were identified from the respective nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectral data.  相似文献

The reactions of [RuX3(EPh3)3] (X = Cl or Br; E = P or As) with 2′-hydroxychalcones in benzene under reflux led to the formation of [RuX2(EPh3)2(L)] (X = Cl or Br; E = P or As; L = chalconates). The new complexes have been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic (IR, electronic, and EPR) data. The redox behavior of the complexes has also been studied. Based on the data, an octahedral structure has been assigned for all the complexes. The new complexes exhibit efficient catalytic activity for the oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols into their corresponding aldehydes and ketones in the presence of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMO) as co-oxidant and also found efficient catalytic activity for the transfer hydrogenation of ketones. The antifungal properties of the complexes have also been examined and compared with standard Bavistin.
