Specifics of third-harmonic generation in Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O superconductors in the region of superconducting transition temperatures

The specifics of third-harmonic generation in Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O two-phase superconductors are studied. It is shown that the emergence of a maximum in the temperature dependence of the third-harmonic voltage in the region of superconducting transition temperatures is associated with the redistribution of the eddy current in the bulk of the semiconductor between its regions with different superconducting parameters (critical current and critical temperature).     

Effect of the percentage of normal phase on the penetration of a magnetic field into textured superconducting metallic oxides of yttrium

The penetration of a magnetic field into textured high-temperature superconductors (HTSCs) based on yttrium is studied experimentally. Samples contain impregnations of normal phase (Y-211) in sizes of 1 to 30 micron. A pronounced effect of the percentage of the normal phase on the value of the penetration field is revealed: penetration occurs at lower values of the magnetic field upon a reduction in the percentage of Y₂BaCuO₅. Vortices are shown to penetrate the superconductor in the form of bundles.     

Synthesis of Vinyl Phenyl Ether and Its Use for Ammetric Titration of Silver(I)

Catalytic vinylation of phenol with acetylene at atmospheric pressure was studied. The yield of vinyl phenyl ether was determined as influenced by the solvent, reaction temperature, and catalyst amount. The mechanism of formation of vinyl phenyl ether was proposed. Ammetric titration of silver(I) with a solution of vinyl phenyl ether in nonaqueous acetic acid solutions was performed.

Lower critical fields of a Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor

The low-field properties of a Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor are studied experimentally. A number of critical fields for the subsequent penetration of hypervortices and Josephson vortices into a weak-link network of superconducting ceramics are found.     

Nonlinear properties of multiphase high-temperature superconductors of the Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O system in the temperature range of the superconducting transition

The nonlinear characteristics of high-temperature superconductors of the Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O system have been experimentally investigated in the temperature range of the superconducting transition under the influence of a harmonic alternating magnetic field. The effect of the generation of odd harmonics in the signal of response to a harmonic alternating magnetic field for multiphase high-temperature superconductors containing regions with different values of the critical temperature in their bulk has been observed for the first time. The mechanism of harmonic generation in a superconductor in the resistive state, which is associated with the switch effect, i.e., with the redistribution of eddy current density between the local regions of the superconductor, has been considered.     

Effect of magnetic field on freely moving superconductors in the audio band

The results of studying the magnetomechanical effects in classical superconductors are analyzed. The energy losses are determined, and a number of macroscopic parameters are calculated using a developed model. The studies of superconductors by the method of rotation of a body suspended without contact are described. The results obtained are analyzed, and the values of some parameters are determined.
