The Pd‐catalyzed polycondensation of 4‐octylaniline with various dibromoarylenes was carried out under microwave heating. Microwave heating led to a decrease in the reaction time and an increase in the molecular weight of the polymers as compared to conventional heating. Microwave heating also allowed the catalyst loading to be reduced to 1 mol %, yielding polymerization results that were comparable to those under conventional heating and 5 mol % catalyst. Investigations regarding field‐effect transistors and organic photovoltaic cells using the obtained poly(arylamine) with azobenzene units revealed that increasing the molecular weight of the polymer led to improved device performance, including hole mobility and power conversion efficiency. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Hyaluronate-hydroxyethyl acrylate blend gel (HA-PHEA) were prepared to modify the brittleness of hyaluronate gel (HA) and the characteristics of HA-PHEA gel were compared with those of HA and polyhydroxyethyl acrylate (PHEA) gels. These gels were high in water content and transparent. HA-PHEA gel was improved in viscoelastic properties due to the elasticity and the high affinity with water of PHEA, and the drying-swelling cycles became reversible. The effective charge densities theta of the gels estimated from membrane potentials were -0.002, -0.008 and 0 mol dm(-3) for HA-PHEA, HA and PHEA gels. Effects of electro- static and nonelectrostatic interactions on absorptions and releases were studied using sodium benzoate (NaBA) as an anionic solute, and methylene blue (MB), chlorpromazine (CPHCl) and benzethonium chloride (BZTCl) as cationic solutes, in which CPHCl and BZTCl are cationic amphiphilic solutes. The releases of MB, CPHCl and BZTCl from HA-PHEA and HA gels were suppressed comparing with those of NaBA. By adding salts, the releases of MB and CPHCl were enhanced but those of BZTCl were suppressed due to enhancement of the intra- and intermicelle formation. In the releases of the cationic solutes from HA-PHEA gel, electrostatic and nonelectrostatic interactions with HA were found to play important roles. Behaviors of the releases from HA-PHEA gel were found to possess the features of HA gel. 相似文献

Two-dimensional structures and characteristics of the complexes between sodium hyaluronate (NaHA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were studied by using a quartz crystal microbalance method and an atomic force microscope (AFM). NaHA did not adsorb on poly(-methyl-l-glutamate) (PMLG) film. On the other hand, the complexes adsorbed on it and the adsorption behaviors were found to be Langmuir types. Photoinduced electron transfer from a variety of electron donors including alkylbenzenes to the singlet excited state of acridine and pyrene is accelerated significantly by the presence of scandium triflate [Sc(OTf)(3)] in acetonitrile, whereas no photoinduced electron transfer from alkylbenzenes to the singlet excited state of acridine or pyrene takes place in the absence of Sc(OTf)(3). The rate constants of the Sc(OTf)(3)-promoted photoinduced electron-transfer reactions (k(et)) of acridine to afford the complex between acridine radical anion and Sc(OTf)(3) remain constant under the conditions such that all the acridine molecules form the complex with Sc(OTf)(3). In contrast to the case of acridine, the k(et) value of the Sc(OTf)(3)-promoted photoinduced electron transfer of pyrene increases with an increase in concentration of Sc(OTf)(3) to exhibit first-order dependence on [Sc(OTf)(3)] at low concentrations, changing to second-order dependence at high concentrations. The first-order and second-order dependence of k(et) on [Sc(OTf)(3)] is ascribed to the 1:1 and 1:2 complexes formation between pyrene radical anion and Sc(OTf)(3). The positive shifts of the one-electron redox potentials for the couple between the singlet excited state and the ground-state radical anion of acridine and pyrene in the presence of Sc(OTf)(3) as compared to those in the absence of Sc(OTf)(3) have been determined by adapting the free energy relationship for the photoinduced electron-transfer reactions. The Sc(OTf)(3)-promoted photoinduced electron transfer from hexamethylbenzene to the singlet excited state of acridine or pyrene leads to efficient oxygenation of hexamethylbenzene to produce pentamethylbenzyl alcohol which is further oxygenated under prolonged photoirradiation of an O(2)-saturated acetonitrile solution of hexamethylbenzene in the presence of acridine or pyrene which acts as a photocatalyst together with Sc(OTf)(3). The photocatalytic oxygenation mechanism has been proposed based on the studies on the quantum yields, the fluorescence quenching, and direct detection of the reaction intermediates by ESR and laser flash photolysis. 相似文献

The CD exciton chirality method was applied to various phenylacetylene alcohols to determine their absolute configurations; the long axis polarized –* transition (max=252nm) of the 4-methoxyphenylacetylene chromophore couples with the transition (max=257nm) of the 4-methoxybenzoate group to generate intense exciton split CD Cotton effects, from the signs of which the absolute configurations of phenylacetylene alcohols were unambiguously determined. As an extension of the results, a new methodology for determining the absolute configurations of acetylene alcohols having the HCCCH(OH)-moiety by combination of the Sonogashira reaction and the CD exciton chirality method has been developed and applied. Since the –* transition of acetylene triple bond is located below 180nm, it is difficult to observe ideal bisignate CD Cotton effects due to the exciton coupling between acetylene and benzoate chromophores. To observe the ideal exciton split Cotton effects necessary for the unambiguous determination of absolute configuration, the terminal acetylene group was converted, by the Sonogashira reaction, to the 4-methoxyphenylacetylene moiety, which exhibits an intense –* absorption band polarized along the long axis of the chromophore at 252nm. As a partner of exciton coupling, 4-methoxybenzoate showing a –* band at 257nm was introduced into the alcohol moiety, and the benzoates formed showed intense bisignate CD Cotton effects, from the signs of which the absolute configurations of original acetylene alcohols could be determined in an unambiguous manner. 相似文献

A naphthalenediimide (NDI)‐based conjugated polymer was synthesized by a two‐step direct C‐H arylation sequence. In the first step, two ethylenedioxythiophene units were coupled to NDI by direct arylation. In the second step, the direct arylation polycondensation of the monomer, formed in the first step, with 2,7‐dibromo‐9,9‐dioctylfluorene afforded the corresponding NDI‐based conjugated polymer ( PEDOTNDIF ) with molecular weight of 21,500 in 91% yield. The optical and electrochemical properties of the polymer were evaluated. The polymer showed ambipolar behavior in organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs). The electron mobility of PEDOTNDIF was estimated to be 2.3 × 10?6 cm2 V?1 s?1 using an OFET device with source‐drain (S‐D) Au electrodes. A modified OFET device with S‐D MgAg electrodes increased the electron mobility for PEDOTNDIF to 1.0 × 10?5 cm2 V?1 s?1 due to the more suitable work function of these electrodes, which reduced the injection barrier to the semiconducting polymer. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Five kinds of ammonium groups functionalized partially fluorinated poly(arylene ether) block copolymer membranes were prepared for investigating the structure–property relationship as anion exchange membranes (AEMs). Consequently, the pyridine (PYR)‐modified membrane showed the highest alkaline and hydrazine stability in terms of the conductivity, water uptake, and dry weight. The chloromethylated precursor block copolymers were reacted with amines, such as trimethylamine, N‐butyldimethylamine, 1‐methylimidazole, 1,2‐dimethylimidazole, and PYR to provide the target quaternized poly(arylene ether)s. The structures of the polymers, as well as model compounds and oligomers were well characterized by 1H NMR spectra. The obtained AEMs were subjected to water uptake and hydroxide ion conductivity measurements and stabilities in aqueous alkaline and hydrazine media. The pyridinium‐functionalized quaternized polymers membrane showed the highest alkaline and hydrazine stability with minor losses in the conductivity, water uptake, and dry weight. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) derivatives bearing 2-pyridyl groups were synthesized, which could serve as anionic N,N′-chelate ligands consisting of two nitrogen atoms of the lactam moieties and the pyridyl groups. Coordination of the DPP ligand to boron and platinum yielded the corresponding DPP complexes. Their crystal structures exhibited coplanar structures between the DPP core and the 2-pyridyl groups, which indicated extended π-conjugation. The maximum absorption wavelength of the DPP complexes was longer than that of the corresponding DPP ligands. The choice of the introduced element affects the optical properties of the DPP complexes; the platinum complex has a longer absorption wavelength than the boron complex. The theoretical calculation revealed that these absorptions can be attributed to the π–π* transition. The introduction of the coordinating elements predominantly lowers the band gap. In addition, the substituent on the 2-pyridyl group can also modulate the energy levels. 相似文献
