The suitability of a new technology single-monochromator diode array spectroradiometer for UV-radiation safety measurements, in particular for sunbed measurements, was evaluated. The linearity, cosine response, temperature response, wavelength scale, stray-light and slit function of the spectroradiometer were determined and their effects on the measurement accuracy evaluated. The main error sources were stray-light and nonideal cosine response, for which correction methods are presented. Without correction, the stray-light may reduce the accuracy of the measurement excessively, particularly in the UV-B range. The expanded uncertainty of the corrected UV measurements is estimated to be 14%, which is confirmed with the comparative measurements carried out with a well-characterized double-monochromator spectroradiometer. The measurement accuracy is sufficient for sunbed measurements, provided that all corrections described above have been done and the user of the instrument has a good understanding of the instrument's operating principles and potential error sources. If these requirements are met, the tested spectroradiometer improves and facilitates market surveillance field measurements of sunbeds. 相似文献

The total syntheses of 11‐methoxydeethyleburnamonines ( 4 ) and ( 13 ) were carried out with use of 6‐methoxytryptophyl bromide ( 5 ) as starting material. Compound 5 was converted in three steps to trans‐ester 8 . Acid‐catalysed epimerization of 8 , lithium aluminum hydride reduction of the ester group, tosylation and substitution with cyanide gave the cis‐nitrile 12 . Acid‐induced cyclization of 12 yielded mainly (±)‐trans‐11‐methoxydeethyleburnamonine ( 13 ), whereas base‐induced cyclization gave (±)‐cis‐11‐methoxydeethyleburnamonine ( 4 ). 相似文献

We study the probabilities with which chordal Schramm–Loewner evolutions (SLE) visit small neighborhoods of boundary points. We find formulas for general chordal SLE boundary visiting probability amplitudes, also known as SLE boundary zig-zags or order refined SLE multi-point Green’s functions on the boundary. Remarkably, an exact answer can be found to this important SLE question for an arbitrarily large number of marked points. The main technique employed is a spin chain–Coulomb gas correspondence between tensor product representations of a quantum group and functions given by Dotsenko–Fateev type integrals. We show how to express these integral formulas in terms of regularized real integrals, and we discuss their numerical evaluation. The results are universal in the sense that apart from an overall multiplicative constant the same formula gives the amplitude for many different formulations of the SLE boundary visit problem. The formula also applies to renormalized boundary visit probabilities for interfaces in critical lattice models of statistical mechanics: we compare the results with numerical simulations of percolation, loop-erased random walk, and Fortuin–Kasteleyn random cluster models at Q = 2 and Q = 3, and find good agreement. 相似文献

Small‐angle and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering and anomalous small‐angle X‐ray scattering were used to investigate proton‐conducting membranes prepared by radiation‐induced styrene grafting and sulfonation of commercial poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF‐g‐PS) films. The membranes retain the lamellar and highly oriented structure of the original PVDF films even through excessive grafting and sulfonation. The sulfonate groups aggregate in the central part of the amorphous layers, where they form a weakly ordered structure that does not show any preferred orientation. This structure is suggested to be lamellar with alternate metal‐sulfonated hydrate and PVDF‐g‐PS layers. The lamellar period is 15.1 Å. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Computer simulations based on Discrete Element Method have been performed in order to investigate the influence of interparticle interactions on the kinetics of self-assembly and the mechanical strength of nanoparticle aggregates.Three different systems have been considered.In the first system the interaction between particles has been simulated using the JKR (Johnson,Kendall and Roberts) contact theory,while in the second and third systems the interaction between particles has been simulated using van der Waals and electrostatic forces respectively.In order to compare the mechanical behaviour of the three systems,the magnitude of the maximum attractive force between particles has been kept the same in all cases.However,the relationship between force and separation distance differs from case to case and thus,the range of the interparticle force.The results clearly indicate that as the range of the interparticle force increases,the self-assembly process is faster and the work required to produce the mechanical failure of the assemblies increases by more than one order of magnitude. 相似文献

The specific heat capacities (cp) for the brain and muscle equivalent liquids were determined with isothermal heat conduction microcalorimetry (IMC) and differential
scanning calorimetry (DSC). IMC was found to afford an accurate technique to measure cp for solid and liquid samples, when an appropriate reference is employed. The accuracy of obtained cp values was estimated to be better than 0.7% with the equivalent liquids. Intercomparison with a conventional isoperibolic
calorimeter showed an excellent agreement within the estimated uncertainty of the isoperibolic calorimeter (±3%). Additionally,
suitability of different kinds of IMC sample vessels was tested, and the standard electrical calibration procedure of IMC
was evaluated through the determination of cp with and without a reference material.
