A new long-lived isomeric state in the near proton dripline nucleus 125Ce has been identified with Schottky mass spectrometry at GSI. The excitation energy E * = 103(12)keV and the decay time of 193(1)s have been obtained from a single stored fully ionized 125m Ce58+ ion. The data implies an E3 transition and a 1/2+ assignment for the spin of the isomer.  相似文献

Many engineering materials exhibit fluctuations and uncertainties on their macroscopic mechanical properties. This randomness results from random fluctuations observed at a lower scale, especially at the meso-scale where microstructural uncertainties generally occur. In the present paper, we first propose a complete theoretical stochastic framework (that is, a relevant probabilistic model as well as a non-intrusive stochastic solver) in which the volume fraction at the microscale is modelled as a random field whose statistical reduction is performed using a Karhunen–Loeve expansion. Then, an experimental procedure dedicated to the identification of the parameters involved in the probabilistic model is presented and relies on a non-destructive ultrasonic method. The combination of the experimental results with a micromechanical analysis provides realizations of the volume fraction random field. In particular, it is shown that the volume fraction can be modelled by a homogeneous random field whose spatial correlation lengths are determined and may provide conditions on the size of the meso-volumes to be considered.  相似文献

One important goal of the ILIMA project at FAIR is the study of masses and decay properties of relativistic isomeric beams stored and cooled in the planned storage-ring complex. A new scheme is described, where a storage-cooler ring is used for high-resolution mass separation. Experimental results on the separation of the isobaric pair 140Pr-140Ce are presented. P. In [8] the author gave a report on some properties of flag space motions, especially of the composition of screw motions or rotations in flag space. Planet motions more generally are motions which can be composed by two one-parameter-groups. These motions are investigated with respect to their orbits, their multiple ways of construction and the tubular surfaces they can determine. Some of them yield tubular screw surfaces, some others move every sphere the way that it again envellopes a sphere. These motions, which have no Euclidean counterpart, determine non-trivial, kinematically generated LIE-transformations in flag space.  相似文献

We discuss the coarse-grained level density of the Hénon-Heiles system above the barrier energy, where the system is nearly chaotic. We use periodic orbit theory to approximate its oscillating part semiclassically via Gutzwiller’s semiclassical trace formula (extended by uniform approximations for the contributions of bifurcating orbits). Including only a few stable and unstable orbits, we reproduce the quantum-mechanical density of states very accurately. We also present a perturbative calculation of the stabilities of two infinite series of orbits (Rn and Lm), emanating from the shortest librating straight-line orbit (A) in a bifurcation cascade just below the barrier, which at the barrier have two common asymptotic Lyapunov exponents χR and χL.  相似文献
