We propose a scheme to obtain the distance of two identical atoms placed inside the standing wave field by monitoring the collective resonance fluorescence spectrum emitted by the two particles. We find three different parameter ranges, depending on the distance of the atoms as compared to the transition wavelength. For large interparticle distances, dipole-dipole coupling is negligible, and the main system evolution arises from the interaction with the standing wave field. In the small-distance limit, the dynamics is dominated by the dipole-dipole interaction. Finally, in the intermediate region, a rich interplay of the various couplings arises, which however is lifted for strong driving laser fields. The present measurement procedure allows us to distinguish the three cases. In each of the cases, we show how to determine the distance of the two particles and their respective positions relative to the nodes of the standing wave field with fractional-wavelength precision.  相似文献

Total backward electron yields from 27 elemental, non-crystalline, clean solids were measured during bombardment by H+-, H-, H-, He+- and Ar+-ions in the energy range from 100 keV to 800 keV. The yields were found to exhibit an oscillatory dependence on the atomic number of the target material correlated with the periods of the periodic system. These Z2-oscillations are relatively insensitive to the type of projectile and the impact energy at the high projectile energies of this experiment. Present theories of electron emission cannot explain the main experimental results. The reasons for this failure are discussed.  相似文献

A single-crystal neutron diffraction analysis of the cluster complex [H(4)Co(4)(C(5)Me(4)Et)(4)] was carried out on the new quasi-Laue diffractometer VIVALDI at the Institut Laue-Langevin. The structure consists of four face-bridging hydrides attached to a tetrahedral cobalt metal core. Average distances and angles in the core of the molecule are as follows: Co-Co = 2.571(8), Co-C = 2.158(6), Co-H = 1.749(7), H.H = 2.366(9) A; Co-H-Co = 94.6(3), H-Co-H = 85.1(3) degrees. The hydride ligands are located off the Co-Co-Co planes by an average distance of 0.923(8) A. It is suggested that the dimensions of the HCo(3) fragments found in this molecule provide reasonable estimates for analogous distances and angles associated with chemisorbed H atoms situated on the 3-fold hollows of a cobalt surface. Crystallographic details: space group P2(1)/a (monoclinic); a = 21.979(2), b = 10.924(1), c = 34.406(2) A; beta = 90.81(1) degrees; Z = 8. Final agreement factor: R(F) = 0.099 for 3779 reflections [I > 2sigma(I)] collected at 20 K.  相似文献

Chemical reactions in a dielectric barrier discharge at medium pressure of 250-300 mbar have been studied in CH(4)/Ar and CH(4)/N(2) gas mixtures by means of mass spectrometry. The main reaction scheme is production of H(2) by fragmentation of CH(4), but also production of higher order hydrocarbon molecules such as C(n)H(m) with n up to 9 including formation of different functional CN groups is observed. Formation of C(2)H(2), C(2)H(4), and C(2)H(6) molecules has been investigated in some detail. Significant differences are noted in comparison to a theoretical estimate.  相似文献

Restenosis results from intimal hyperplasia and constrictive remodeling following cardiovascular interventions. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been shown to inhibit intimal hyperplasia in vivo by preventing neointimal repopulation of the treated vessel. This study was undertaken in an attempt to further dissect the mechanisms by which PDT acts on secreted and extracellular matrix proteins to inhibit migration of cultured human vascular cells. PDT of three-dimensional collagen gels inhibited invasive human smooth muscle cell (SMC) migration, whereas cell-derived matrix metalloproteinase production remained unaltered. Additionally, PDT generated cross-links in the collagen gels, a result substantiated in an ex vivo model whereby PDT rendered the treated vessels resistant to pepsin digestion and inhibited invasive migration of SMC and fibroblasts. These data support the premise that by inducing matrix protein cross-links, rendering the vessel resistant to degradation, in vivo PDT inhibits repopulation of the vessel and therefore intimal hyperplasia.  相似文献

The integral alignmentA 20 was investigated for H(2p) excitation in H-He, Ne, Ar collisions at incident energies of 1–25 keV. The experimental results are compared with theoretical calculations based on different theoretical models. Calculations which do not account for the quasi-molecular aspect of the collision process are at variance with the experimental data below incident energies of 10 keV. Above 15 keV, fair agreement is obtained with calculations which include simultaneous excitation of both projectile and target.  相似文献

Spontaneous generation of chirality was observed in the course of studying the mechanism of asymmetric autocatalysis by NMR in ZnR2 alkylation of pyrimidin-5-aldehydes. A systematic study was carried out in order to discover its origins. Even in clean fresh non-glass reaction vessels spontaneous ee was clearly observed, and was not dependent on any single reaction parameter. For comparison it was demonstrated that enantiomerically pure Zn alkoxide catalyst could control the configuration of the reaction product even when present at below micromolar concentrations. The high propensity of the Soai reaction system to produce an enantiomerically enriched product without initial bias is suggested to result from stochastic effects. These are especially important in autocatalysis because all the final products can be derived by breeding from a small number of initial events. The statistical excess of one enantiomer in that set is sufficient to generate a measurable ee in the product. The process is aided by the requirement for dimerisation before the product is an active catalyst. An enumeration that rationalises these observations is provided.  相似文献

Comparative enantioseparations were performed with three neutral cyclodextrins (CDs) in capillary electrophoresis (CE). In particular, native beta-CD was compared with single component heptakis(2,3-di-O-acetyl)-beta-CD (HDA-beta-CD) and randomly acetylated beta-CD (Ac-beta-CD) with the emphasis on the enantiomer migration order. The opposite affinity of the enantiomers of several chiral analytes was observed towards native beta-CD and its acetylated derivatives. The enantiomer affinity pattern of some chiral analytes was also opposite towards the two acetylated derivatives of beta-CD. In the case of the chiral drug clenbuterol (CL) an attempt was made to evaluate the possible structural reasons of the affinity reversal using one- and two-dimensional as well as transverse rotating frame nuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy (ROESY). Significant differences were observed between the structure of the CL complexes with beta-CD and HDA-beta-CD.  相似文献
