The dynamics of a string near a Kaluza-Klein black hole are studied. Solutions to the geodesic equations are obtained using the world sheet velocity of light as an expansion parameter. For a string falling into a magnetically charged black hole, it is shown that the compact dimension decreases with the world-sheet coordinate τ.  相似文献

We study cosmological effects of homogeneous tachyon field as dark energy. We concentrate on two different scalar field potentials, the inverse square potential and the exponential potential. These models have a unique feature that the matter density parameter and the density parameter for tachyons remain comparable for a large range in red-shift. It is shown that there exists a range of parameters for which the universe undergoes an accelerated expansion and the evolution is consistent with structure formation requirements. For a viable model we require fine tuning of parameters comparable to that in ACDM or in quintessence models. For the exponential potential, the accelerated phase is followed by a phase witha(t) α t 2/3 thus eliminating a future horizon.  相似文献

A facile method for the synthesis of silver-silica(Ag-SiO2) Janus particles with functionalities suitable for textile applications is reported.Silica nanoparticles prepared by the Stober method were functionalized with epoxy,amine,and thiol groups,which were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared analysis.The functionalized silica nanoparticles were used to produce Pickering emulsions,and the exposed surface was used for the attachment of silver nanoparticles(AgNPs) via the low-temperature chemical reduction method.The morphology and structure of the Ag-SiO2 Janus particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,scanning transmission electron microscopy,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray analysis,and UV-vis spectroscopy.Because of their specific functionalities,these Ag-SiO2 Janus particles are proposed for applications on textile substrates,as they can overcome several drawbacks of direct application of AgNPs on textiles,such as leaching,agglomeration,and instability during storage.  相似文献

This article describes the synthesis and X-ray crystal structure analysis of 3-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl) phenol (I) and 4-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)phenol (II), crystallized in centrosymmetric triclinic and orthorhombic space groups respectively. The packing in the unit cell of these two positional isomers are different resulting difference in various types of intermolecular interactions (C-H…S, O-H…Ow and O-H…N) connect the molecules into 2D frameworks. Due to presence of lattice water in compound (I), H-bonding interactions are strong and melting point of (I) is comparatively higher than (II). The DFT optimized molecular geometries in (I) and (II) agree closely with those obtained from crystallographic studies.  相似文献
