The aim of the present paper is to investigate new classes of symplectically fat fibre bundles. We prove a general existence theorem for fat vectors with respect to the canonical invariant connections. Based on this result we give new proofs of some constructions of symplectic structures. This includes twistor bundles and locally homogeneous complex manifolds. The proofs are conceptually simpler and allow for obtaining more general results.  相似文献

Ethyl lauroyl arginate (LAE) is an amino acid-based cationic surfactant with low toxicity and antimicrobial activity. It is widely used as a food preservative and component for food packaging. When stored, LAE decomposes by hydrolysis into surface-active components Nα-lauroyl–l-arginine (LAS) or dodecanoic (lauric) acid. There are only a limited number of reports considering the mechanism of surface activity of LAE. Thus, we analysed the surface tension isotherm of LAE with analytical standard purity in relation to LAE after prolonged storage. We used quantum mechanical density functional theory (DFT) computations to determine the preferred hydrolysis path and discuss the possibility of forming highly surface-active heterodimers, LAE-dodecanoate anion, or LAE-LAS. Applying molecular dynamics simulations, we determined the stability of those dimers linked by electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonds. We used the adsorption model of surfactant mixtures to successfully describe the experimental surface tension isotherms. The real part surface dilational modulus determined by the oscillation drop method follows a diffusional transport mechanism. However, the nonlinear response of the surface tension could be observed for LAE concentration close to and above Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC). Nonlinearity originates from the presence of micelles and the reorganisation of the interfacial layer.  相似文献

Abstract : A series of comb-like copolymers and homopolymers containing different liquid-crystalline and perfluoralkyl side chains was studied by frequency and temperature dependent dielectric measurements. The structure and the phase behaviour of the systems were characterized by X-ray scattering and differential scanning calorimetry. The dielectric relaxation spectra of these polymers reflect the molecular mobility in bilayer structures formed by the mesogenic or crystalline side chains. By changing temperature it was possible to investigate the molecular motions in the different phases of the copolymers (smectic-crystalline, smectic-isotropic, and isotropic). The homopolymer containing perfluoralkyl side chains and all copolymers show a β-relaxation at low temperatures, which is assigned to local molecular motions. Above the glass transition temperature, all samples exhibit a segmental (α) relaxation with WLF-like temperature dependence in the activation plots. For the polymers forming LC structures only one relaxation process was detected in all phases, i.e. in the smectic, nematic, and isotropic structure or, in case of the copolymers, in the smectic-crystalline and smectic-isotropic double structures. This process was attributed always to the segmental motions, assisted by tumbling motions of the mesogens. The phase transitions are clearly indicated by discontinuities in the dielectric relaxation times and changes in the relaxation strength Δϵ. The dipole reorientations of the mesogens seem to be more restricted by the crystalline layers in the copolymers as by the smectic order of the LC homopolymers.  相似文献

A series of composites of CaF2(Eu2+) and LiF with different Ca/Li ratios were fabricated via liquid phase consolidation. Luminescent properties of these samples were investigated. Radioluminescence shows the typical Eu2+ blue emission in all the compositions. The energy spectra measured under γ and neutron irradiation indicates that the most promising composition for neutron detection is the eutectic.  相似文献

Interfacial properties of cationic surfactants show strong dependence on the type of surfactant counterion or on the type of anion of a salt added to the surfactant solution. In the paper, the models of ionic surfactant adsorption that can take into account ionic specific effects are reviewed. Model of ionic surfactant adsorption based on the assumption that the surfactant ions and counterions undergo nonequivalent adsorption within the Stern layer was selected to describe experimental surface tension isotherms of aqueous solutions of a number of cationic surfactants. The experimental isotherms for: n-alkyl trimethylammonium cationic surfactants, namely: C(16)TABr (CTABr or CTAB), C(16)TACl, C(16)TAHSO(4), C(10)TABr and C(12)TABr as well as decyl- and dodecylpyridinium salts with and without various electrolyte anions as Cl(-), Br(-), F(-), I(-), NO(3)(-), ClO(4)(-) and CH(3)COO(-) were described in terms of the model and a good agreement between the theory and experiment was obtained for a wide range of surfactants and added electrolyte concentrations. A very pronounced Hofmeister effect in dependence of surface tension of cationic surfactants on the type of anion was found. Analysing this dependence in terms of the proposed model of ionic surfactant adsorption, strong correlation between "anion surface activity" (the model parameter accounting for ion penetration into the Stern layer), and the ion polarizability was obtained. That suggests that the mechanism related to the dispersive interaction of polarized ion with electric field at interface is responsible for Hofmeister series effects in surface activity of cationic surfactants. The same mechanism was proposed recently to explain the dependence of surface tension increase with electrolyte concentration on anion and cation type.  相似文献

Novel substances of expected doping activity are constantly introduced to the market. β-Methylphenethylamine (BMPEA) is classified as a doping agent by the World Anti-Doping Agency as it is a positional isomer of amphetamine. In this work, the development and application of a simple and rapid analytical procedure that enables discrimination between both isomers is described. The analytes of interest were extracted from urine by a two-step liquid–liquid extraction and then analyzed by UPLC/MS/MS under isocratic conditions. The entire analytical procedure was validated by evaluating its selectivity, discrimination capabilities, carry-over, sensitivity, and influence of matrix effects on its performance. Application of the method resulted in detection of BMPEA in eight anti-doping samples, including the first report of adverse analytical finding regarding its use. Further analysis showed that BMPEA may be eliminated unchanged along with its phase II conjugates, the hydrolysis of which may considerably improve detection capabilities of the method. Omission of the hydrolysis step may therefore, produce false-negative results. Testing laboratories should also carefully examine their LC/MS/MS-based amphetamine and BMPEA findings as both isomers fragment yielding comparable collision-induced dissociation spectra and their insufficient chromatographic separation may result in misidentification. This is of great importance in case of forensic analyses as BMPEA is not controlled by the public law, and its manufacturing, distribution, and use are legal.  相似文献

We introduce a reweighting scheme for the path ensembles in the transition interface sampling framework. The reweighting allows for the analysis of free energy landscapes and committor projections in any collective variable space. We illustrate the reweighting scheme on a two dimensional potential with a nonlinear reaction coordinate and on a more realistic simulation of the Trp-cage folding process. We suggest that the reweighted path ensemble can be used to optimize possible nonlinear reaction coordinates.  相似文献
