A Green's function method of determining the residual stresses in cylindrical glass shells

We propose a way of modifying the mathematical model of the nondestructive theoretical-experimental method of determining the residual stresses for a specific collection of technological conditions for welding two cylindrical glass shells. Nanosensors based on responsive polymer brushes and gold nanoparticle enhanced transmission surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy

Swelling (and shrinking) of poly(2-vinylpyridine), P2VP, polymer brushes, caused by pH changes, could be readily monitored by transmission surface plasmon resonance, T-SPR, spectroscopy. Gold nanoparticles attached to the P2VP polymer brushes dramatically enhanced the pH-induced shift in the T-SPR absorption spectra. (A 50 nm shift of the absorption maximum of the T-SPR spectrum of the supporting gold nanoislands was observed upon changing the pH from 5.0 to 2.0, corresponding to a swelling of the polymer brushes from 8.1 +/- 0.7 to 24.0 +/- 2.0 nm. Same shift in the opposite direction was observed upon changing the pH from 2.0 to 5.0.)     

Recyclization of tetranitrodibenzo-18-crown-6 and tetranitrodibenzo-24-crown-8 into monobenzocrown ethers

Calculation of diatomic van der Waals systems inert gas Atom-Halogen type inert gas ion in the ground state

Interatomic potentials are calculated for the systems inert gas ion in the ground state-inert gas atom Ne⁺, Xe⁺ -Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, Fr. The calculation is performed by the effective pseudopotential method using the new form of the polarization interaction potential obtained by calculating the most important polarization diagrams of perturbation theory in the Thomas-Fermi approximation. The quasimolecular states of these van der Waals systems are calculated to refine the available data; some data are obtained for the first time. Hybridization of oligonucleotide-modified silver and gold nanoparticles in aqueous dispersions and on gold films

Functionalization of silver and gold nanoparticles by 12mer-thiolated homo-oligonucleotides, SA and ST (containing only adenine or thymine, respectively), and their hybridization and dehybridization in aqueous dispersions have been described. In addition, ST and SA were self-assembled onto gold films and hybridized with their complementary pairs, unlabeled or labeled by gold and silver nanoparticles. The base pairing between DNA strands and the types of oligonucleotides (adenine or thymine) attached to the nanoparticles was detected by Polarization Modulated Fourier Transform Infrared Reflection Absorption Spectroscopy (PM-FTIRRAS).     

Potentiometric determination of diclofenac in pharmaceutical formulation by membrane electrode based on ion associate with base dye

The characteristics,performance and application of membrane electrode based on ion associate of diclofenac with base dye Safranine T are described.The electrode response to diclofenac has the sensitivity of 47±1.0 mV decade~(-1)over the range of 5×10~(-5)to 5×10~(-2)mol/L at pH 6-12,and the detection limit of 3.2×10~(-5)mol/L.The electrode is easy assembled at a relatively low cost has fast response time(2-4 s)and can be used for a period up to 3.5 months without any considerable divergence in potential.The proposed sensor displayed good selectivity for diclofenac in the presence of different substances.It was used to determine diclofenac in pharmaceuticals by means of the standard addition method.     

Nucleophilic substitution reactions in tetranitrodibenzo-18-crown-6

Post-Einstein cosmology: Torsion, strings, dual symmetry. I. The necessity of using the Einstein-Cartan theory instead of the Einstein theory

The hypothesis that heavy dichromatic lepton structures corresponding to the dual group SU(2) and called the friedmons are dark matter particles is proposed. Arguments in favor of the Einstein theory generalization to the Einstein-Cartan theory are presented. It is shown that string additions in the Schwarzschild and de Sittermetrics correspond to the cosmological constant.
