Azo compounds are widely used in dyes, pigments, blowing agents, and initiators. Unfortunately, these compounds contain the bivalent –N–N– composition which might be cleavaged readily even under high ambient temperature. The self-accelerating decomposition might cause a runaway reaction and lead to a fire or explosion when the cooling system fails or other upsets occur. To investigate the thermal stability parameters of 2,2′-azobis(isobutyronitrile) with thermal hazard and mechanism, differential scanning calorimetry and thermal activity monitor III were applied with non-isothermal method and isothermal method to obtain onset temperature (T 0), maximum temperature (T max), and heat of decomposition (ΔH d). Thermal stability parameters play a pivotal role in thermal analysis, leading particularly to complex evaluation of the inherently safer design during preparation, processing, transport, or storage. The results provide sufficient thermokinetic parameters for process safety in terms of proactive loss prevention program.  相似文献

Propylene-co-ethylene elastomer resin (PER) has been blended into biodegradable poly(butylene succinate) copolymer (PBS) by a melt-blending process to develop a novel semi-biodegradable thermoplastic elastomer. The PBS/PER blends displayed good compatibility in the range 70/30 > PBS/PER > 30/70 according to analyses by DSC, DMA and the Couchman method. Although the PBS/PER blends displayed compatibility, SEM analyses of most of the PBS/PER blends revealed two-phase structures including sea-island and irregular fiber-shaped morphologies, except for PBS/PER (70/30). PBS/PER (60/40) and PBS/PER (50/50) display low tensile strength due to large sea-phase and irregular fiber-shaped morphologies, even though they have good compatibility. PBS/PER (70/30) apparently exhibited a single phase by SEM and showed the best compatibility by DSC and DMA. Furthermore, the tan δ, elongation and initial moduli of the PBS/PER blends were seen to increase with increasing PER content, indicating that the toughness and shock resistance of PBS are improved by incorporating PER into the composition.  相似文献

The first-order thermal transitions including side-chain melting, crystal-LC, biphasic chimney-like, and isotropic transitions of poly(n-undecyl isocyanate) (PUDIC) were investigated by varying its thermal history. After annealing at 140 °C for different periods of time, it leads to different degrees of backbiting degradation into n-undecyl isocyanurate trimer which behaves as a solvent for the rest non-degraded/rigid PUDIC to change into a lyotropic LC from thermotropic transition. Based on the degree of degradation, various amounts of trimers are present and the PUDIC demonstrates different types of thermal transitions found in DSC thermograms due to the variation of the non-degraded PUDIC concentration in solvent trimers. Finally, a phase diagram includes all types of crystallines, LC, and isotropic regions can be drawn according to the DSC thermograms.  相似文献

A simple sugaring-out assisted liquid-liquid extraction method combined with high-performance liquid-chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FL) was developed for the extraction and determination of sulfonamides in honey. Sample preparation consisted of acid hydrolysis to release sugar-bound sulfonamides. After derivatization with fluorescamine, the derivatives were partitioned into the organic layer under the honey (sugar)/water/acetonitrile system. The clear organic extract obtained by centrifugation could be injected into the HPLC system either directly or after dilution. Linearity was obtained with the coefficient of determination (R(2)) higher than 0.998 from 2 to 200 ng/mL. Under the optimal conditions, recoveries were determined for honey fortified at three levels (5, 20, and 100 ng/g) were 80.9-99.6% with coefficients of variation of 0.3-4.4%. Limits of detection for the sulfonamides studied were found to range from 0.6 to 0.9 ng/g.  相似文献

The monitoring of insulin is of great relevance for the management of diabetes, the detection of pancreatic islet-cell malfunction, the definition of hypoglycemia, and the diagnosis of insulinoma. A liposomal immunosensing system for the determination of insulin was developed in this study. The insulin sensor was constructed by the immobilization of anti-insulin antibodies on the inner wall of the microcapillary immunoseparator. Liposomes tagged with anti-insulin and encapsulating a fluorescent dye were used as the detectable label. In the presence of insulin, sandwich immunocomplexes were formed between the immobilized antibodies in the column, the sample of insulin, and the antibody-tagged sulforhodamine B-dye-loaded liposomes. Signals generated by lysing the bound liposomes with 30 mM n-octyl-β-d-glucopyranoside were measured by a fluorescence detector. The detected signal was directly proportional to the amount of insulin in the test sample. The liposomal immunosensing system successfully detected as low as 136 attomole. MeOH (30%) was used for the regeneration of antibody-binding sites in the microcapillary after each measurement, which allowed the immunoseparator to be used for at least 70 repeated assays. The antibody activity in this proposed microcapillary immunoseparator could be well maintained for at least 1 week. The calibration curve for insulin in Tris-buffered saline had a linear dynamic range of 10 pM-10 nM, and the total assay time was less than 30 min. The coefficient of variation for triplicate measurements was <5.00%, which indicated that well-reproducible results can be obtained by this newly developed method.  相似文献

We present a single-step template-free self-assembly method for constructing 1D-chains and 1D-networks of Au-nanoparticles. The chains are formed by simply increasing the ion concentration of nanoparticle solution so that the attractive van der waals force prevails over the repulsive Coulomb interaction. A combination of this method and the previously developed charge trapping technique allows us to place the 1D-chains/networks at designed locations. Further, the nanoparticle structures are stable enough to withstand the subsequent e-beam lithographic processes for formation of nanoparticle-based electronics such as a single electron transistor. Prominent Coulomb oscillation was observed at temperatures as high as 120 K.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics and mechanism of the degradation of poly(siloxane-urethane) (PSiU) copolymers by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and TGA coupled with Fourier-transform infra-red spectroscopy (TG-FTIR). The PSiU copolymers consisted of 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD), and OH-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). In TGA they exhibited a two-stage degradation at 250-650 °C. The two stages of degradation have been found to comprise eight degradation steps and two interchange reactions, as revealed by TG-FTIR analysis. The main decomposition products have been identified as CO2, tetrahydrofuran, cyclosiloxane, and macrocyclic species. In addition, the effects of hard segment content (HSC) on the degradation and thermal stability of PSiU copolymers have been investigated by means of TG and DTG curves; notably, a stability region at 410-470 °C is caused by the cyclosiloxane, as verified by TG-FTIR.  相似文献

In this paper, we present and analyze the influences of the fill factor and the height ratio of square-based microlens arrays on the optical characteristics of an organic light-emitting device (OLED). These properties include spectral shift, CIE coordinates, viewing-angle dependence, luminous current efficiency and luminous power efficiency. Both the luminous current efficiency and luminous power efficiency of the OLED were found to increase linearly with increasing the fill factor of microlenses. It is also found that the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the OLED spectra and CIE coordinate decreased linearly with increasing the fill factor of the microlenses. Besides, the efficiency improvement of the OLED increased with the height ratio of attached microlenses. Compared to the OLED, the luminous current efficiency and luminous power efficiency of the device can be enhanced by 42% and 47%, respectively, by attaching the microlens array having a fill factor of 90% and a height ratio of 0.57. We also observed blue shifts at different viewing angles when microlens arrays were attached to the OLED, which is the evidence that the waveguiding modes are being extracted. In our planar OLED, the peak wavelength blue shifted and the FWHM decreased with increasing the viewing angles due to the microcavity effect.  相似文献

A series of novel triphenylamine-containing aromatic poly(amine-amide)s were prepared from the dicarboxylic acid, N,N′-bis(4-carboxyphenyl)-N,N′-diphenyl-1,4-phenylenediamine, and various diamines by direct phosphorylation polycondensation. All the poly(amine-amide)s were amorphous, soluble in a variety of organic solvents, and could be solution cast into transparent, tough, and flexible films with good mechanical properties. They had useful levels of thermal stability associated with relatively high glass-transition temperatures (195-280 °C). These polymers exhibited strong UV-Vis absorption bands at 330-346 nm and their photoluminescence showed maximum bands around 516-535 nm in NMP solution. The hole-transporting and electrochromic properties are examined by electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical methods. Cyclic voltammograms of the poly(amine-amide)s prepared by casting polymer solution onto an indium-tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrate exhibited two reversible oxidative redox couples at potential 0.73-0.78 V and 1.12-1.18 V, respectively vs Ag/AgCl in acetonitrile solution. All the poly(amine-amide)s exhibited excellent reversibility of electrochromic characteristics by continuous ten cyclic scans between 0.0 and 1.40 V, with a color change from original pale yellowish neutral form to the green and then to blue oxidized forms.  相似文献
