Pyrolysis—mass spectrometry (Py—MS) as a taxonomic tool was applied to a series of atmospheric particulate samples. Seven pure and mixed source samples were individually pyrolyzed at 450°C directly into a mass spectrometer. The resulting spectra were summed and analyzed using an Euclidian Distance calculated from an n-dimensional array of peak intensity values weighted utilizing a Fisher ratioing procedure. The results of this study indicate that Py—MS can be used to distinguish various atmospheric particulate sources.  相似文献

The reaction between hydroxylamine and cyclohexanedione in the presence of palladium ions has been made the basis of the precipitation of bis(1,2-cyclohexanedionedioximato)palladium(II) from homogeneous solution. The procedure provides a means of separating palladium from Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Pt(IV), and is a simple, rapid and accurate method for determining palladium.  相似文献

Background  

The β3 subunit of the γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor (GABAA-R) has been reported to be important for palate formation, anesthetic action, and normal nervous system function. This subunit has also been implicated in the pathogenesis of Angelman syndrome and autism spectrum disorder. To further investigate involvement of this subunit, we previously produced mice with a global knockout of β3. However, developmental abnormalities, compensation, reduced viability, and numerous behavioral abnormalities limited the usefulness of that murine model. To overcome many of these limitations, a mouse line with a conditionally inactivated β3 gene was engineered.  相似文献

Active control of high Reynolds number and high-speed jets has been hampered due to the lack of suitable actuators. Some of the attributes that would make an actuator suitable for such flows are: high amplitude and bandwidth; small size for distribution around the jet; phase-locking ability for jet azimuthal mode forcing; and sufficient ruggedness for hot jets. We have been developing a class of actuators termed localized arc filament plasma actuators, which possess such characteristics. In this paper, we present the development and characterization of these actuators as well as preliminary results on their applications in high Reynolds number Mach 0.9 and ideally expanded Mach 1.3 jets.Patent pending  相似文献

The Grubbs first-generation catalyst has been found to be an effective catalyst for the synthesis of enaminones by coupling thioamides with α-diazodicarbonyl compounds. The reaction is successful in converting primary, secondary, and tertiary thioamides into their corresponding enaminones. The reaction is also suitable for the synthesis of chiral enaminones.  相似文献

A new direct-mixing and rapid particle-counting system useful for studies on crystal nucleation solution is described. The methods used to calibrate and evaluate the system are reported together with the results obtained during studies on nucleation from solution of nickel dimethylglyoximate. The combination of precipitation from homogeneous solution and Vonnegut's droplet technique is employed in the study of nucleation from solution of bis(1,2-cyclohexanedionedioxunato)Ni(II), bis(1,2-cycloheptanedionedioximato)Ni(II), bis(1,2-cyclohexanedionedioximato)Pd(II) and bis(1,2-cycloheptanedionedioximato)-Pd(II). Values of the kinetic constant, surface energy, critical radius and the number of molecules per critical nucleus are calculated and discussed in terms of the limitations of the classical theory of nucleation when applied to crystal nucleation from aqueous solutions of electrolytes.  相似文献

As part of an investigation concerning the fate of226Ra during uranium ore milling and long-term taillings storage we have investigated the kinetics of the desorption of alkaline earth, lead and sulfate ions from quartz and mica surfaces into water and dilute nitric acid using a radio-tracer technique. The retention times are sufficiently long to permit the growth of the surface deposits hypothesized in the HILEMAN-SNODGRASS model. The kinetics of desorption of most of these ions is found to agree with the model for rate-limiting desorption proposed by CEREFOLINI. In the case of the desorption of Ba2+ from mica surfaces the data suggest some degree of integration of the Ba2+ into the mica.  相似文献
