In this work, mid‐infrared spectroscopy and multivariate control charts based on net analyte signal were applied for quality control of B5 blends of biodiesel/diesel (5% biodiesel/95% diesel). Control charts were constructed using instrumental signal decomposition, generating three charts: the net analyte signal chart for monitoring the analyte of interest (methyl soybean biodiesel); the interference chart, which corresponds to the contribution of all other compounds in the diesel sample (diesel); and the residual chart, which corresponds to non‐systematic variations. Statistical limits were established for each developed chart, using samples inside quality specifications (normal operation conditions). To validate multivariate control charts, new samples were analyzed. The new samples represented samples in‐control and samples out‐of‐control in relation to the content of biodiesel, adulterated biodiesel with severe vegetable oils and adulterated diesel with residual automotive lubricant oil, kerosene, and gasoline. The results obtained show an excellent distinction between the samples inside and out of the quality specifications, with 91% and 100% correctly classified, respectively, which demonstrates that the methodology developed is a viable alternative for quality monitoring of this type of fuel. Transmission Mössbauer spectra were performed on FeZrB nanocrystalline alloys with high crystalline fraction (≈60%)at temperatures comprised within the range 77–600 K. We report the temperature dependencies of the magnetic hyperfine data of the three contributions: the crystalline bcc‐Fe grains, the residual amorphous phase, and the interface intermediate between the bulk of crystalline and amorphous phases. The evolution of the average value of the hyperfine field characteristic of the residual amorphous phase is discussed in terms of interactions between crystalline grains transmitting through the intergranular phase.  相似文献

Extra virgin (EV), the finest and most expensive among all the olive oil grades, is often adulterated by the cheapest and lowest quality ordinary (ON) olive oil. A new methodology is described herein that provides a simple, rapid, and accurate way not only to detect such type of adulteration, but also to distinguish between these olive oil grades (EV and ON). This approach is based on the application of direct infusion electrospray ionization mass spectrometry in the positive ion mode, ESI(+)‐MS, followed by the treatment of the MS data via exploratory statistical approaches, PCA (principal component analysis) and HCA (hierarchical clustering analysis). Ten distinct brands of each EV and ON olive oil, acquired at local stores, were analyzed by ESI(+)‐MS and the results from HCA and PCA clearly indicated the formation of two distinct groups related to these two categories. For the adulteration study, one brand of each olive oil grade (EV and ON) was selected. The counterfeit samples (a total of 20) were then prepared by adding assorted proportions, from 1 to 20% w/w, with increments of 1% w/w, of the ON to the EV olive oil. The PCA and HCA methodologies, applied to the ESI(+)‐MS data from the counterfeit (20) and authentic (10) EV samples, were able to readily detect adulteration, even at levels as low as 1% w/w. A variational method which corrects the one-electron ground state locally is applied to study electron correlation effects in the Hubbard model. A two-site cluster approximation is used to calculate the ground state energy functional. For the linear chain and for number of electrons per site up to 0.6, the approximation yields more than 80% of the exact results of Lieb and Wu for the ground state energy. In this article, we determine the eigenvalues and their corresponding multiplicities of the action on the group algebra of a finite Coxeter group of an element of its descent algebra. Meanwhile, we identify a slight error in the paper of Bergeron, Bergeron, Howlett, and Taylor in a formula for certain structure coefficients in the descent algebra. We provide the correct formula, and give an example which explicitly shows the difference between both formulas.  相似文献

Static and dynamic properties of a polyurethane system at different stages of the gelation process have been investigated. Shear modulus data were collected over a wide frequency range covering both the α-relaxation and the internal modes relaxations. The evolution of the relaxation spectra in relation with the structural transformation occurring during the growth process is analysed within the percolation model.  相似文献

The nature of the physical mechanisms responsible for the structural modification of the γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles under laser irradiation has been investigated by Raman spectroscopy. In situ micro‐Raman measurements were carried out on as‐prepared γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles about 4 nm in size as a function of laser power and on annealed γ‐Fe2O3 particles. A baseline profile analysis clearly evidenced that the phase transition from maghemite into hematite is caused by local heating due to laser irradiation with an increase of grain size of nanoparticles. This increasing was clearly determined by X‐ray diffraction from 4 nm in nanoparticles up to more than 177 nm beyond 900 °C in a polycrystalline state. The effect of a milling process on the electrochemical performance of Li2Ti3O7 electrodes has been investigated by the galvanostatic intermittent titration technique (GITT) and AC impedance spectroscopy. The insertion ratio is slightly increased by the milling treatment and a value of x Li=1.25 per mol Li2Ti3O7 has been determined. The average potential during insertion is close to 1.5 V/Li. The analysis of impedance data obtained at equilibrium during insertion and deinsertion shows two relaxation processes and a diffusion phenomenon at low frequency according to the Frumkin-Melik-Gayakazian model. Cycling experiments of batteries using this material were performed with unmilled and milled particles. Composite electrodes containing different amounts of electroactive material added to a binder and a conductive additive have also been prepared in order to check the effect of grinding on the cyclability of the compound. Interesting electrochemical performances have been determined with such electrodes: lithium uptake up to 1.25 Li per Li2Ti3O7, low irreversible capacity loss between the first and the following cycles, good stability upon cycling even after 50 cycles. However, the milled process has not improved significantly the electrochemical performance of the Li2Ti3O7 electrodes. Electronic Publication  相似文献
