Alkaloids from marine organisms. Part 8: Isolation of bisdemethylaaptamine and bisdemethylaaptamine-9-O-sulfate from an Indonesian Aaptos sp. marine sponge

Bisdemethylaaptamine (6), a proposed biosynthetic precursor of the aaptamines has been isolated from an Aaptos sp. marine sponge harvested off the Indonesian coast, and its identity confirmed by comparison of its spectral data with that of synthetic material. Bisdemethylaaptamine-9-O-sulfate (7) was also isolated from the same source. This is the first report of a sulfated aaptamine.     

Copper and iron interactions with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors. A study by fast-atom bombardment tandem mass spectrometry

Fast atom bombardment, combined with high-energy collision-induced tandem mass spectrometry, has been used to investigate gas-phase metal-ion interactions with captopril, enalaprilat and lisinopril, all angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.Suggestions for the location of metal-binding sites are presented. For captopril, metal binding occurs most likely at both the sulphur and the nitrogen atom. For enalaprilat and lisinopril, binding preferably occurs at the amine nitrogen. Static and stationary axially symmetric gravitational fields of bounded sources II. solutions obtainable from Weyl's class

This paper shows that a new class of axially symmetric static electrovacuum/magnetovacuum solutions is obtainable from Weyl's class of static vacuum solutions. The new class contains an infinite set of asymptotically flat solutions (in closed form) each of which involves an arbitrary set (d, _i) of parameters. These parameters have to be interpreted as functions of massm, chargee, and higher electric/magnetic multipole moments _i of the particle. The cased = 0, _i =0 leads to the Darmois solution and the cased = 0, _i 0 leads to the results of [1]. The case d=0, e=_i=0 leads to the Schwarzschild solution, the cased 0, _i =0,e 0 leads to the Reissner-Nordström solution. To get more general examples is a lengthy but straightforward exercise.     

Diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave at a schwarzschild black hole

Using the technique of Debye potentials a rigorous solution of the diffraction problem is given as a superposition of an incident wave, strongly connected with the Coulomb scattering wave function, and a scattered wave, which is purely outgoing for large distances. The solution fulfils the boundary conditions to be the light of a very distant star and to be purely ingoing at the Schwarzschild horizon. The phase shifts of the partial waves are evaluated in the WBK approximation.
