We have studied the reactions \(({{\pi ^ + } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\pi ^ + } p}} \right. \kern-0em} p})p \to ({{\pi ^ + } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\pi ^ + } p}} \right. \kern-0em} p})(K\bar K\pi )p\) where the \(K\bar K\pi \) system is centrally produced, at 85 GeV/c and 300 GeV/c using the CERN Omega spectrometer. A spin-parity analysis of theK S 0 K ± π ? system shows the presence of a strongJ PC=1++ signal which we identify as theE/f 1 (1420) meson. We also find evidence for the decayE/f 1(1420)→K S 0 K S 0 π 0 which determines theC-parity of this state to be positive. Alternative explanations of the data have been tested and ruled out. Hence we obtain the quantum numbers of theE/f 1 (1420) to beI G(JPC)=0+(1+).  相似文献

Clearly, the usefulness of a computer-aided column design program will depend on its ability to predict quickly and accurately, a design which will yield chromatograms closely approximating those obtained experimentally. Such a computer model for designing and specifying operating conditions for optimum performance of either single or serially coupled columns with different stationary phases is described herein. Tests have been performed in order to verify the accuracy of the model. In addition to single column optimization and the design of column combinations which can be used to achieve separations difficult or impossible on a single phase alone, the model has proven quite useful as an aid to the design and development of multicolumn analysis procedures that involve critical timing of valve-switching sequences.  相似文献

In this paper we study the following problems and their further generalizations: given a finite number of nonempty closed subsets of a normed space, find a ball with the smallest radius that encloses all of the sets, and find a ball with the smallest radius that intersects all of the sets. These problems can be viewed as generalized versions of the smallest enclosing circle problem introduced in the nineteenth century by Sylvester which asks for the circle of smallest radius enclosing a given set of finite points in the plane. We will focus on sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of an optimal solution for each problem, while the study of optimality conditions and numerical implementation will be addressed in our next projects.  相似文献

Newton's method is a fundamental technique underlying many numerical methods for solving systems of nonlinear equations and optimization problems. However, it is often not fully appreciated that Newton's method can produce significantly different behavior when applied to equivalent systems, i.e., problems with the same solution but different mathematical formulations. In this paper, we investigate differences in the local behavior of Newton's method when applied to two different but equivalent systems from linear programming: the optimality conditions of the logarithmic barrier function formulation and the equations in the so-called perturbed optimality conditions. Through theoretical analysis and numerical results, we provide an explanation of why Newton's method performs more effectively on the latter system.  相似文献

In this report, it is demonstrated that chiral vinyl aziridines can be stereospecifically ring expanded. This synthetic approach allows controlled access to chiral 2,5-cis- or 2,5-trans-3-pyrroline products from starting materials with the appropriate aziridine geometry. Twenty three ring expansion examples, most of which feature a stereospecific cyclization, are presented.  相似文献

We have performed a search for vector-vector final states centrally produced in proton proton interactions at 300 GeV/c using the CERN Ω spectrometer. Evidence is found for ωρ0 production in the reactionppp f (2π+?0)p s and for ωω production in the reactionppp f (2π+?0)p s . However no evidence is found for ωø production in the reactionppp f (K + K ?π+π?π0)p s .  相似文献

Nucleophilic addition of alkyl- and aryl-zinc reagents to a C(4) functionalized isoxazolyl aldehyde proceeded effectively with high enantioselectivity (85-94% ee). The amino alcohol catalyst (S)-2-piperidinyl-1,1,2-triphenyl ethanol (10) afforded the (R)-product 2b, as established by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of biodegradable films based on starch-PVA-nanoclay by solvent casting are reported in this study. The films were prepared with a relation of 3:2 of starch:PVA and nanoclay (0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% w/v), and glycerol as plasticizer. The nanoclays before being incorporated in the filmogenic solution of starch-PVA were dispersed in two ways: by magnetic stirring and by sonication. The SEM results suggest that the sonication of nanoclay is necessary to reach a good dispersion along the polymeric matrix. FTIR results of films with 1.0 and 1.5% w/v of sonicated nanoclay suggest a strong interaction of hydrogen bond with the polymeric matrix of starch-PVA. However, the properties of WVP, tensile strength, percentage of elongation at break, and Young’s modulus improved to the film with sonicated nanoclay at 0.5% w/v, while in films with 1.0 and 1.5% w/w these properties were even worse than in film without nanoclay. Nanoclay concentrations higher than 1.0 w/v saturate the polymer matrix, affecting the physicochemical properties. Accordingly, the successful incorporation of nanoclays at 0.5% w/v into the matrix starch-PVA suggests that this film is a good candidate for use as biodegradable packaging.  相似文献
