Whatman cellulose impregnated with calcium and magnesium carbonates was oxidized and chemiluminescence accompanying this oxidation has been measured. It was shown that magnesium ions in deacidified cellulose pulp promote the light emission significantly. On the other hand, acid papers give the more pronounced light signals at temperatures close to ambient. The relation between chemiluminescence runs and paper degradation has been implicated, with an attempt to extrapolate half-lives of paper samples to conditions close to ambient. Millimeter-wave characterization of a heterodyne receiver using (2 m2) Nb/Al-Ox/Nb Superconducting-Insulator-Superconducting (SIS) junctions arrays is reported. The fabrication of the Nb/Al-Ox/Nb SIS junction arrays as a heterodyne mixer is described. The leakage current of these junctions is below 2A at 4.2K and unmeasurable at 2.5K. The receiver gave a noise temperature Double Side Band (DSB) between 63K and 187K over the frequency range 80 to 115 GHz at the first conversion peak. The results are comparable to those obtained with SIS receivers using well researched lead junctions. Contrary to the lead junctions, our mixer using all Nb junctions have proven remarkably stable with respect to thermal cycling, characteristics which are required for space applications. To our knowledge, this is the most reliable low noise receiver operating in this frequency range.  相似文献

The protected ceramide: N‐((2S,3S,4R)‐3,4‐bis(benzyloxy)‐1‐hydroxyoctadecan‐2‐yl)tetracosanamide, was attempted to introduce a triflate as a leaving group followed by a nucleophilic substitution with azido group in one‐pot manner. Unexpectedly, the oxazole ring formed via a thermodynamically favored intramolecular cyclization was opened to generate the original ceramide by triflic acid. The kinetics of Ar+ laser-induced oxidation of 100 nm thick vanadium films on glass substrates is followed by measuring time-dependent changes in reflected and transmitted intensity of a He-Ne probe beam. The growth rate of the vanadium pentoxide layer increases with increasing laser powerP as = 0 exp(-a/P). At power densities above kW/cm2 vanadium pentoxide crystallizes from the melt.  相似文献

Experimental and theoretical stress-concentration factor and stress-intensity factor solutions exist for a large number of hole shapes and configurations. However, little work has been done on the interaction between holes and free edges. This paper reports the results of an experimental study which investigated elliptical holes close to each edge of a tension plate. The holes were symmetric with respect to the longitudinal axis of the models and had their major axes normal to the edge of the plate. The ellipse ratio and the distance between the center and the edge were varied. A statistical model is developed which shows that the stress concentrationK g at both ends of the ellipses is linearly dependent on a geometric function ? such thatK g = αΦ + γ. Peeled and unpeeled celeriac pulp was macerated with pectinase from Rhizopus sp. at 25 °C for 30 and 60 min. Peeling, enzyme addition, and maceration time significantly affected the quality characteristics of the juice. The juice obtained from peeled celeriac was characterized by higher pressing yield, sucrose content, and antioxidant activity (ABTS*+ and DPPH*). The juice from the unpeeled root had higher extract, fructose, glucose, total polyphenols, antioxidant activity (FRAP), total phenolic acids, and total luteolin content. Applying the enzyme to celeriac pulp had no significant effect on the extract’s content, analyzed sugars, and antioxidant activity of the juices (ABTS*+). Adding pectinase to unpeeled celery pulp resulted in a 2–10% increase in pressing efficiency, compared to the control sample held at 25 °C for the same period. Maceration of the enzyme-peeled pulp increased the antioxidant potential of the juice by 22% in the FRAP method. In contrast, in all juices analyzed, unpeeled and peeled roots increased antioxidant activity measured by the DPPH* method by 24–57% and total phenolic acids by 20–57%. The time of holding the pulp at 25 °C was an important factor, and its extension resulted in a decrease in the values of most of the analyzed parameters, with the exception of pressing efficiency and fructose content in all analyzed juice samples. Short-term, 30-min maceration of peeled and unpeeled celery pulp with pectinase from Rhizopus sp. had a significant effect on increasing juice yield, antioxidant activity, and phenolic compound content.  相似文献
