A family of arylspiroborates has been prepared by the addition of either 4‐tert‐butylcatechol or 3,5‐di‐tert‐butylcatechol to boric acid and an alkali metal hydroxide. All compounds were characterized fully using multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and by elemental analyses. A single crystal X‐ray diffraction was carried out on potassium (bis‐(3,5‐di‐tertbutyl[1,2‐benzenediolato(2‐)‐O,O′]borate)) ( 8 ). All compounds displayed appreciable anti‐microbial activities.  相似文献

A series of 5-aza-9-deaza- analogues of purine was effectively prepared using highly selective annulation of 1,3,5-triazine ring onto 5-aminopyrazole-4-carboxylates via a one-pot, multicomponent, microwave-assisted approach. The products were obtained in good yields and high purity. This catalyst-free method was demonstrated to be scalable and highly reproducible in different microwave reactors. Some structural features of the prepared compounds were studied in details using dynamic NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

An explicit solution for a layer of fluid with constant vorticitysurrounding a thin plate of finite length is obtained usingelementary conformal mapping methods. In the limit of largeplate length the behaviour of the solution near the ends ofthe plate tends to that of the previously known solution fora semi-infinite plate. The compound barium bis{bis-(4,6-di-tert-butyl[1,2-benzenediolato(2-)-O,O′]borate)} has been prepared by the addition of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol to a solution of boric acid and Ba(OH)2 and characterized by a single crystal X-ray diffraction study. The title compound crystallized in the triclinic space group P-1, with cell parameters a = 13.280(2) Å, b = 15.755(3) Å, and c = 16.980(3) Å, α = 71.691(2)o, β = 79.528(3)o, γ = 80.741(3)o, Z = 1, and V = 3296.1(10) Å3. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined to a final R = 0.0459 for 14370 reflections with I > 2σ(I). One of the arylspiroboronate ester counterions is bound to the barium atom in a rare example of the η1 bonding mode via a single oxygen of one of the catecholato groups. The coordination sphere around the barium is complemented by four molecules of water, one molecule of acetone and two bridging water molecules, connecting to an adjacent barium atom.  相似文献

Conjugated alkali metal dicarboxylates have recently received attention for applications as organic anode materials in lithium- and sodium-ion batteries. In order to understand and optimise these materials, it is important to be able to characterise both the long-range and local aspects of the crystal structure, which may change during battery cycling. Furthermore, some materials can display polymorphism or hydration behaviour. NMR crystallography, which combines long-range crystallographic information from diffraction with local information from solid-state NMR via interpretation aided by DFT calculations, is one such approach, but this has not yet been widely applied to conjugated dicarboxylates. In this work, we evaluate the application of NMR crystallography for a set of model lithium and sodium dicarboxylate salts. We investigate the effect of different DFT geometry optimisation strategies and find that the calculated NMR parameters are not systematically affected by the choice of optimisation method, although the inclusion of dispersion correction schemes is important to accurately reproduce the experimental unit cell parameters. We also observe hydration behaviour for two of the sodium salts and provide insight into the structure of an as-yet uncharacterised structure of sodium naphthalenedicarboxylate. This highlights the importance of sample preparation and characterisation for organic sodium-ion battery anode materials in particular.  相似文献

A photochromic anil, N-(3,5-di-t-butylsalicylidene)-4-amino-pyridine, has been studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, multinuclear magic-angle spinning NMR, and first-principles density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Interpretation of the solid-state NMR data on the basis of calculated chemical shifts confirms the structure is primarily composed of molecules in the ground-state enol tautomer, whereas thermally activated cis-keto and photoisomerised trans-keto states exist as low-level defects with populations that are too low to detect experimentally. Variable temperature 13C NMR data reveal evidence for solid-state dynamics, which is found to be associated with fast rotational motion of t-butyl groups and 180° flips of the pyridine ring, contrasting the time-averaged structure obtained by X-ray diffraction. Comparison of calculated chemical shifts for the full crystal structure and an isolated molecule also reveals evidence for an intermolecular hydrogen bond involving the pyridine ring and an adjacent imine carbon, which facilitates the flipping motion. The DFT calculations also reveal that the molecular conformation in the crystal structure is very close to the energetic minimum for an isolated molecule, indicating that the ring dynamics arise as a result of considerable steric freedom of the pyridine ring and which also allows the molecule to adopt a favourable conformation for photochromism.  相似文献

Efficient photoswitching in the solid-state remains rare, yet is highly desirable for the design of functional solid materials. In particular, for molecular solar thermal energy storage materials high conversion to the metastable isomer is crucial to achieve high energy density. Herein, we report that 4-methoxyazobenzene (MOAB) can be occluded into the pores of a metal–organic framework Zn2(BDC)2(DABCO), where BDC = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate and DABCO = 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane. The occluded MOAB guest molecules show near-quantitative EZ photoisomerization under irradiation with 365 nm light. The energy stored within the metastable Z-MOAB molecules can be retrieved as heat during thermally-driven relaxation to the ground-state E-isomer. The energy density of the composite is 101 J g−1 and the half-life of the Z-isomer is 6 days when stored in the dark at ambient temperature.

Addition of three equivalents of phosphinoamine, (ArNHP(i)Pr(2)) [Ar = 3,5-dimethylphenyl] to M(CH(2)SiMe(3))(3)(THF)(2) [M = Sc, Y] precursors gives complexes of the form (ArNP(i)Pr(2))(3)M(THF) [M = Sc, Y]. In the case of scandium, addition of Sc(CH(2)SiMe(3))(3)(THF)(2) to (ArNP(i)Pr(2))(3)Sc(THF) affords (ArNP(i)Pr(2))(2)Sc(CH(2)SiMe(3))(THF), which has been isolated and structurally characterized. In contrast, addition of Y(CH(2)SiMe(3))(3)(THF)(2) to (ArNP(i)Pr(2))(3)Y(THF) generates a distribution of phosphinoamide-containing products consistent with the formulations (ArNP(i)Pr(2))(2)Y(CH(2)SiMe(3))(THF) and (ArNP(i)Pr(2))Y(CH(2)SiMe(3))(2)(THF), as ascertained using NMR spectroscopy. Attempts to react the alkyl-containing phosphinoamide complexes with small molecules such as H(2) led to disproportionation type processes.  相似文献
