Guinea pig skin becomes more pigmented following exposure to UV rays. This melanization was accompanied by enhanced intensity of tyrosinase-staining and increased number of tyrosinase-positive melanocytes (MELty+), with resultant enhancement of melanin synthesis. To clarify the regulatory mechanism for melanization following UV irradiation, organ-cultured guinea pig skins have been used to examine their melanogenic responses to exogenous stimulation. This organ culture system responded well to UV irradiation, by increasing melanogenic activity. Also, in this system, phospholipases (PL), arachidonic acid, interleukin-1α and melanocytestimulating hormone, but not endothelin-1 or phosphatidylinositol-specific PLC (PI-PLC), stimulated melanogenesis to various extents as indicated by the number of MELty+ and morphological changes. Among them, the PLA2 and PLD were found to have a potent stimulatory property for melanocytes. They might affect melanocytes directly or indirectly through an effect on keratinocytes. These results suggest that PLA2 and PLD play a key role in epidermal hyperpigmentation after UV irradiation or inflammation.  相似文献

We synthesized some novel rigid NLO‐active maleimide copolymers bearing DR‐1 moieties ( PMPD , PHSD and PHND ). All copolymers exhibited high Tg's (190~197 °C), good solubilities for common solvents and excellent film‐forming properties. Dependence of film thickness on the d33 value for the poled copolymer films induced by corona poling was investigated and it was demonstrated that in less than thickness of 0.3 µm decrease of the thickness gives rise to remarkable increase in the d33 value. The poled copolymer films exhibited large d33 values (270 × 10?9 esu (film thickness 0.13 µm) for PMPD , 290 × 10?9 esu (0.12 µm) for PHSD and 350 × 10?9 esu (0.08 µm) for PHND ) as well as large r33 values (51.0 pmV?1 for PMPD and 60.4 pmV?1 for PHND ) which are significantly large compared to the value of LiNbO3 (31 pmV?1) as a typical EO material. The d33 values of the poled copolymers were kept constant even after standing 1000h at 80 °C, although a small decrease was observed at an initial stage. The formation of carbon-carbon bond by sulfur extrusion such as pyrolysis of cyclic sulfones is well known as an important synthetic method, especially for the synthesis of cyclophane framework.1) Little is known about selenium extrusion as the counterpart, though organoseleniums have been properly appreciated as a useful tool for manipulating a functional group.2) Lardon reported that the thermal decomposition of dibenzyl diselenide led to a mixture of dibenzyl selenide and polyselenides.3) In contrast, recent reports showed that at 210°C, heating bis(diphenylmethyl) diselenide resulted in ready selenium extrusion to 1,1,2,2-tetraphenylethane4), and dianthrylmethyl mono- and diselenides to 1,2-dianthrylethane.5) Therefore,- it is worthwhile to study the thermal behavior of dibenzyl selenide itself.  相似文献

Impedance spectroscopy was applied to investigate the characteristics of dye-sensitized nanostructured TiO2 solar cells (DSC) with high efficiencies of light to electricity conversion of 11.1% and 10.2%. The different parameters, that is, chemical capacitance, steady-state transport resistance, transient diffusion coefficient, and charge-transfer (recombination) resistance, have been interpreted in a unified and consistent framework, in which an exponential distribution of the localized states in the TiO2 band gap plays a central role. The temperature variation of the chemical diffusion coefficient dependence on the Fermi-level position has been observed consistently with the standard multiple trapping model of electron transport in disordered semiconductors. A Tafel dependence of the recombination resistance dependence on bias potential has been rationalized in terms of the charge transfer from a distribution of surface states using the Marcus model of electron transfer. The current-potential curve of the solar cells has been independently constructed from the impedance parameters, allowing a separate analysis of the contribution of different resistive processes to the overall conversion efficiency.  相似文献

The polymers consisting of polydiacetylene (PDA) backbones were obtained from the novel monomer derivatives, R CC CC R′ CC CC R [where R =  (CH2)4OCONHCH2COOC4H9, R′ =  (CH2)n ; n = 2, 4, 8] [4BCMU4A(n)], in which linear methylene chain is sandwiched between two diacetylene moieties by solid-state 1,4-addition reaction. The polymerization process was investigated in detail by using spectroscopic techniques such as solid-state 13C-NMR, visible absorption, and IR absorption spectra. It was estimated that the polymerization of 4BCMU4A(8) and 4BCMU4A(4) takes place by two consecutive 1,4-addition reactions to form two PDA backbones, which constitute the two poles of the respective ladders. The bridging methylene chain length in the monomer was found to play a vital role as far as the polymerization process is concerned. Thus, the monomers with eight or four methylene units could form the ladder–PDAs by a two-step process, whereas the monomer containing two methylene units could only undergo one-step of 1,4-addition reaction. Further, it was found that the crystallinity of the polymers depends on the methylene chain length in the monomers, 4BCMU4A(8) being the most crystalline of all. These structural features strongly affect their absorption spectra. The third-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities (χ(3)) for these polymers were measured using third-harmonic generation method. The growth dynamics of fluorescent perylene nanocrystals, which are fabricated by the reprecipitation method, was investigated using in situ and ex situ single-particle fluorescence measurements. A red shift in the emission maxima as the aging time increased was observed by single-particle fluorescence spectral measurements. The number and size of the nanocrystals increased with the increasing aging time in water. It was concluded that the metastable intermediates, such as clusters and initial nanoparticles, are relevant for the early stages of nucleation and growth of the perylene nanocrystals.  相似文献

Photocrosslinkable second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) polymers were synthesized from cationic copolymerization of a vinyl ether monomer bearing 4′-nitrobiphenyl-4-oxy group as the NLO chromophore with a vinyl ether monomer bearing cinnamoyl group as the photoreactive moiety. To obtain a suitable poling method involving photocrosslinking, which is capable of inducing a higher and more stable second-order nonlinear coefficient, d33, for NLO polymer films, some poling procedures were investigated. An optimized poling method was as follows. Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation is performed for 90 sec during poling at 50°C for 20 min, followed by poling at 150°C for 20 min. By using this poling method NLO polymer films exhibited a higher and considerably stable d33 value at room temperature, even though they had rather lower glass transition temperatures before photocrosslinking. Some photocrosslinking mechanism for NLO polymers investigated here were considered.  相似文献

We have demonstrated that in rats activities of various enzymes related to gluconeogenesis and amino acid metabolism show circadian rhythms. Based on these results, we have explored the molecular mechanisms underlying circadian oscillation and phase response to light of the master clock located in the dorsomedial subdivision of the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) and found various proteins closely related to phase response such as BIT/SHPS-1 and those of circadian oscillation, some of which are involved in protein-tyrosine phosphorylation.On the other hand, we have presented several lines of evidence that the ventrolateral subdivision of the SCN includes not only the control center of energy supply to the brain, but also that of homeostasis such as blood glucose, blood pressure, water balance, and body temperature. We have also shown that besides these functions, the latter subdivision is involved in the regulations of hormone secretions such as insulin, glucagon, corticosterone and vasopressin. It has been also shown by electrophysiological means that light exposure to rat eye enhances sympathetic nerve activity, whereas it depresses parasympathetic nerve activity. Thus, environmental light is implicated not only in the phase-shift through the retinohypthalamic tract (RHT), but also control of autonomic nerve activities through the RHT, It is also discussed in this review how the two divisions are interconnected and how environmental light is involved in this interconnection.  相似文献

Poly-1,4-bis(3-acetamidephenyl)-1,3-butadiyne, i.e., a topochemically obtained polydiacetylene for which one can expect π-conjugation between polymer backbone and substituents, has been examined as a candidate of conducting polymers. Upon iodine doping, the polymer film attained the conductivity of 4.8 × 10?2 S/cm, i.e., about three orders of magnitude greater than those of other polydiacetylene films which have no such π-conjugation.  相似文献
