We show, via a straightforward calculation, that it is feasible to detect nuclear spin echoes in a ferromagnetic thin film by electrical means. The detection scheme is based on the deflection of the electronic magnetization when the nuclear magnetization reforms during an echo. This deflection is observed as a time-dependent magnetoresistive signal.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Whereas ozonization of furan 3a affords little or no carboxylic acid 5, ozonization of the corresponding trans-enedione 6 afforded carboxylic acid 5 in 82.4% yield (cryst., overall from furan, 100 g scale; after workup with dimethyl sulfide, followed by mildly basic hydrogen peroxide). Computer simulations based on Discrete Element Method have been performed in order to investigate the influence of interparticle interactions on the kinetics of self-assembly and the mechanical strength of nanoparticle aggregates.Three different systems have been considered.In the first system the interaction between particles has been simulated using the JKR (Johnson,Kendall and Roberts) contact theory,while in the second and third systems the interaction between particles has been simulated using van der Waals and electrostatic forces respectively.In order to compare the mechanical behaviour of the three systems,the magnitude of the maximum attractive force between particles has been kept the same in all cases.However,the relationship between force and separation distance differs from case to case and thus,the range of the interparticle force.The results clearly indicate that as the range of the interparticle force increases,the self-assembly process is faster and the work required to produce the mechanical failure of the assemblies increases by more than one order of magnitude.  相似文献

Rates of hydrolysis of hydroxamic acids with perfluorooctanoic acid as a reactive counterion surfactant and also with sodium sulfonate surfactants plus HCl have been determined in both water and aqueous acetonitrile solvents. The pseudophase ion exchange model satisfactorily explains the micellar effects for both the reactive and non-reactive counterion surfactants in both solvent systems.  相似文献

A quick and simple method was developed for determination of formaldehyde in maple syrup. In this method, formaldehyde reacts with Fluoral P to form a complex which is chemically extracted by isobutanol and determined by spectrofluorimetry. Performance, as gauged by the limits of detection (0.16 mg/kg) and quantitation (0.21 mg/kg), recovery (>79%), and variability (1.9-16.1%, depending on fortification level and class of syrup) were superior to the current official AOAC standard method.  相似文献

A reliable sol gel route to synthesize NiO doped SiO2 films with different NiO content is here described. The films showed detectable and reversible changes in both optical and electrical properties when exposed to some reducing/oxidizing gaseous species at temperatures in the 250°C–350°C range. A functional characterization protocol has been designed and some of the sensing properties of the materials have been investigated for detecting NO2, CH4, CO and H2. An optical transmittance increase up to 2% has been detected for 1% CO in dry air atmospheres, while relative resistance response (R R = R gas/R air) values up to 4.97 for 850 ppm H2/air mixtures have been registered for conductometric gas sensing. Films at all NiO molar concentrations in the 10% NiO - 40% range showed an optical response to the target gas, while only 30% and 40% NiO films provided a detectable gas induced resistance change.  相似文献

This paper addresses the use of different slotted pores in rotating membrane emulsification technology.Pores of square and rectangular shapes were studied to understand the effect of aspect ratio (1-3.5) and their orientation on oil droplet formation.Increasing the membrane rotation speed decreased the droplet size,and the oil droplets produced were more uniform using slotted pores as compared to circular geometry.At a given rotation speed,the droplet size was mainly determined by the pore size and the fluid velocity of oil through the pore (pore fluid velocity).The ratio of droplet diameter to the equivalent diameter of the slotted pore increased with the pore fluid velocity.At a given pore fluid velocity and rotation speed,pore orientation significantly influences the droplet formation rate: horizontally disposed pores (with their longer side perpendicular to the membrane axis) generate droplets at double the rate of vertically disposed pores.This work indicates practical benefits in the use of slotted membranes over conventional methods.  相似文献
