Copper‐catalyzed controlled/living radical polymerization (LRP) of styrene (St) was conducted using the silica gel‐supported CuCl2/N,N,N′,N′,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (SG‐CuCl2/PMDETA) complex as catalyst at 110 °C in the presence of a definite amount of air. This novel approach is based on in situ generation and regeneration of Cu(I) via electron transfer reaction between phenols and Cu(II). Sodium phenoxide or p‐methoxyphenol was used as a reducing agent of Cu(II) complexes in LRP. The number–average molecular weight, Mn,GPC, increases linearly with monomer conversion and agrees well with the theoretical values up to 85% conversion The molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, decreases as the conversion increases and reaches values below 1.2. The catalyst was recovered in aerobic condition and reused in copper‐catalyzed LRP of St. For the second run, the number–average molecular weights increased with monomer conversion and the polydispersities decreased as the polymerization proceeded and reached to the value <1.3 at 81% conversion. The recycled catalyst retained 90% of its original activity in the subsequent polymerization. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 44: 77–87, 2006  相似文献

A detailed analysis ofK s 0 production in \(\bar pp\) |<2.5 the average transverse momentum is found to be 0.53±0.07 GeV/c at 200 GeV and 0.62±0.08 GeV/c at 900 GeV, which is an increase with respect to data at c.m. energies below 60 GeV. TheK s 0 production cross sections in inelastic collisions are 29±4 mb at 200 GeV and 63±6 mb at 900 GeV, showing an increase compared to lower energy data. The central kaon density is found to increase as a logarithmic function of energy. At 900 GeV, where statistics are sufficient to allow one to draw conclusions, the average transverse momentum is higher in events with large charged multiplicity than in events with low multiplicity.  相似文献

3‐Arm star‐block copolymers, (polystyrene‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate))3, (PS‐b‐PMMA)3, and (polystyrene‐b‐poly(ethylene glycol))3, (PS‐b‐PEG)3, are prepared using double‐click reactions: Huisgen and Diels–Alder, with a one‐pot technique. PS and PMMA blocks with α‐anthracene‐ω‐azide‐ and α‐maleimide‐end‐groups, respectively, are achieved using suitable initiators in ATRP of styrene and MMA, respectively. However, PEG obtained from a commercial source is reacted with 3‐acetyl‐N‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐7‐oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxamide (7) to give furan‐protected maleimide‐end‐functionalized PEG. Finally, PS/PMMA and PS/PEG blocks are linked efficiently with trialkyne functional linking agent 1,1,1‐tris[4‐(2‐propynyloxy)phenyl]‐ethane 2 in the presence of CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) at 120 °C for 48 h to give two samples of 3‐arm star‐block copolymers. The results of the peak splitting using a Gaussian deconvolution of the obtained GPC traces for (PS‐b‐PMMA)3 and (PS‐b‐PEG)3 displayed that the yields of target 3‐arm star‐block copolymers were found to be 88 and 82%, respectively. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Diels–Alder click reaction was successfully applied for the preparation of 3‐arm star polymers (A3) using furan protected maleimide end‐functionalized polymers and trianthracene functional linking agent (2) at reflux temperature of toluene for 48 h. Well‐defined furan protected maleimide end‐functionalized polymers, poly (ethylene glycol), poly(methyl methacrylate), and poly(tert‐butyl acrylate) were obtained by esterification or atom transfer radical polymerization. Obtained star polymers were characterized via NMR and GPC (refractive index and triple detector detection). Splitting of GPC traces of the resulting polymer mixture notably displayed that Diels–Alder click reaction was a versatile and a reliable route for the preparation of A3 star polymer. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The terminal alkyne homocoupling reaction (oxidative alkyne coupling) is presented here as a new route for the preparation of A2B2 type 4‐miktoarm star copolymer. The block copolymer with terminal alkyne at the junction point prepared by NMP‐ATRP and ROP‐NMP sequential routes is coupled via diyne formation to give (PS)2‐(PMMA)2 and (PCL)2‐(PS)2 4‐miktoarm star polymers, respectively, by using a combination of (PPh3)2PdCl2/PPh3/CuI in a solvent mixture of Et3N/CH3CN at room temperature for 72 h. The molecular weight, intrinsic viscosity ([η]), radius of gyration (Rg), and hydrodynamic radius (Rh) of A2B2 4‐miktoarm star copolymers were calculated using triple‐detection GPC as results of three detectors response. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Multiplicity distributions of charged particles produced in non single-diffractive collisions between protons and antiprotons at centre of mass energies of 200 and 900 GeV are presented. The data were recorded in the UA5 streamer chambers at the CERN Collider, which was operated in a pulsed mode between the two energies. A new method to correct for acceptance limitations and inefficiencies based on the principle of maximum entropy has been used. Multiplicity distributions in full phase space and in intervals of pseudorapidity are presented in tabular form. The violation of KNO scaling in full phase space found by the UA5 group at an energy of 546 GeV is confirmed also at 200 and 900 GeV. The shape of the 900 GeV distribution in full phase space is narrower in the peak region than at 200 GeV but exhibits a pronounced high multiplicity tail. The negative binomial distribution fits data at 200 GeV in all pseudorapidity intervals and in small intervals at 900 GeV. In large intervals at 900 GeV, however, the negative binomial distribution. Fits to the partially coherent laser distribution are also presented as well as comparisons with predictions of the Dual Parton, the Fritiof and the Pythia models.  相似文献

Azidopropyl‐heptaisobutyl‐substituted polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS‐N3) was reacted with 1,1,1‐tris[4‐(2‐propynyloxy)phenyl]‐ethane ( 1 ) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) copolymer with alkyne at its center (PEG‐PMMA‐alkyne) affording the first time synthesis of 3‐arm star POSS and PEG‐PMMA‐POSS 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer, respectively, in the presence of CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as catalyst and N,N‐dimethylformamide/tetrahydrofuran as solvent at room temperature. The precursors and the target star polymers were characterized comprehensively by 1H NMR, GPC, and DSC. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 47: 5947–5953, 2009  相似文献

A combination of ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) and click chemistry approach is first time utilized in the preparation of 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer. The bromide end‐functionality of monotelechelic poly(N‐butyl oxanorbornene imide) (PNBONI‐Br) is first transformed to azide and then reacted with polystyrene‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate) copolymer with alkyne at the junction point (PS‐b‐PMMA‐alkyne) via click chemistry strategy, producing PS‐PMMA‐PNBONI 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer. PNBONI‐Br was prepared by ROMP of N‐butyl oxanorbornene imide (NBONI) 1 in the presence of (Z)‐but‐2‐ene‐1,4‐diyl bis(2‐bromopropanoate) 2 as terminating agent. PS‐b‐PMMA‐alkyne copolymer was prepared successively via nitroxide‐mediated radical polymerization (NMP) of St and atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of MMA. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two types of multiarm star block copolymers: (polystyrene)m‐poly(divinylbenzene)‐poly(methyl methacrylate)n, (PS)m‐polyDVB‐(PMMA)n and (polystyrene)m‐poly(divinylbenzene)‐poly(tert‐butyl acrylate)k, (PS)m‐polyDVB‐(PtBA)k were successfully prepared via a combination of cross‐linking and Diels–Alder click reactions based on “arm‐first” methodology. For this purpose, multiarm star polymer with anthracene functionality as reactive periphery groups was prepared by a cross‐linking reaction of divinyl benzene using α‐anthracene end functionalized polystyrene (PS‐Anth) as a macroinitiator. Thus, obtained multiarm star polymer was then reacted with furan protected maleimide‐end functionalized polymers: PMMA‐MI or PtBA‐MI at reflux temperature of toluene for 48 h resulting in the corresponding multiarm star block copolymers via Diels–Alder click reaction. The multiarm star and multiarm star block copolymers were characterized by using 1H NMR, SEC, Viscotek triple detection SEC (TD‐SEC) and UV. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The double click reactions (Cu catalyzed Huisgen and Diels–Alder reactions) were used as a new strategy for the preparation of well‐defined heterograft copolymers in one‐pot technique. The synthetic strategy to the various stages of this work is outlined: (i) preparing random copolymers of styrene (St) and p‐chloromethylstyrene (CMS) (which is a functionalizable monomer) via nitroxide mediated radical polymerization (NMP); (ii) attachment of anthracene functionality to the preformed copolymer by the o‐etherification procedure and then conversion of the remaining ? CH2Cl into azide functionality; (iii) by using double click reactions in one‐pot technique, maleimide end‐functionalized poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA‐MI) via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of MMA and alkyne end‐functionalized poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG‐alkyne) were introduced onto the copolymer bearing pendant anthryl and azide moieties. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
