The giant magnetoimpedance effect in composite wires consisting of a non-magnetic inner core and soft magnetic shell is studied theoretically. It is assumed that the magnetic shell has a helical anisotropy. The current and field distributions in the composite wire are found by means of a simultaneous solution of Maxwell equations and the Landau–Lifshitz equation. The expressions for the diagonal and off-diagonal impedance are obtained for low and high frequencies. The dependences of the impedance on the anisotropy axis angle and the shell thickness are analyzed. Maximum field sensitivity is shown to correspond to the case of the circular anisotropy in the magnetic shell. It is demonstrated that the optimum shell thickness to obtain maximum impedance ratio is equal to the effective skin depth in the magnetic material.  相似文献

The transmission of millimeter-range electromagnetic waves (30–50 GHz) through a magnetic nanocomposite thin film exhibiting tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) is calculated. The relative change of transmission coefficient in an applied magnetic field due to the magnetorefractive effect is approximately linear with TMR and strongly depends on nanocomposite resistivity and film thickness. The obtained results are in a good agreement with experiment.  相似文献

In the present work we study the photonic band structure (PBS) and the polarization state of the Bloch eigenmodes of a two-dimensional magnetophotonic crystal (MPC) with square lattice formed from magneto-optically (MO) active cylinders. The refraction of light at the boundary of the MPC is analyzed. We found that both—the PBS and eigenmodes of the MPC—are most significantly altered by the MO activity in the vicinity of the degeneracies. For this case we demonstrated the possibility of an abrupt change in the propagation direction of light by the application of a magnetic field. For the Bloch wave vectors and frequencies corresponding to non-degenerate branches, the alteration of the PBS is shown to be negligible and eigenmodes almost completely coincide with linearly TE- and/or TM-polarized eigenmodes of the non-magnetic photonic crystal.  相似文献

We construct a probability model seemingly unrelated to the considered stochastic process of coagulation and fragmentation. By proving for this model the local limit theorem, we establish the asymptotic formula for the partition function of the equilibrium measure for a wide class of parameter functions of the process. This formula proves the conjecture stated in [5] for the above class of processes. The method used goes back to A. Khintchine.  相似文献

The concentration and temperature dependences of the thermopower of composites containing Co nanoparticles embedded in the Al2O n dielectric matrix are investigated. Below the percolation threshold, i.e., in the tunneling conduction region, the absolute values of the thermopower of the composites under investigation are less than those above the percolation threshold. It is revealed that, in the tunneling conduction region, the slope of the temperature dependences of the thermopower changes at a temperature of ~205 K. This can indicate that the thermopower is sensitive to a change in the mechanism of conduction from the Mott law ln(σ) ∝ (1/T)1/4 to a power relation that corresponds to the model of inelastic resonant tunneling through a chain of localized states in the dielectric matrix. The introduction of oxygen in the course of sputtering brings about a decrease in the absolute values of the thermopower; however, the character of variation in the concentration and temperature dependences of the thermopower remains unchanged.  相似文献

A method of formation of two-dimensional structures containing a δ〈Mn〉-doped layer in GaAs and an InxGa1?x As quantum well (QW) separated by a GaAs spacer of thickness d = 4–6 nm is developed using laser evaporation of a metallic target during MOS hydride epitaxy. It is shown that, up to room temperature, these structures have ferromagnetic properties most likely caused by MnAs clusters. At low temperatures (T m ~ 30 K), the anomalous Hall effect is revealed to occur. This effect is related to hole scattering by Mn ions in GaAs and to the magnetic exchange between these ions and QW holes, which determines the spin polarization of the holes. The behavior of the negative magnetoresistance of these structures at low temperatures indicates the key role of quantum interference effects.  相似文献

We establish a characterization of coagulation-fragmentation processes, such that the induced birth and death processes depicting the total number of groups at time t≥0 are time homogeneous. Based on this, we provide a characterization of mean-field Gibbs coagulation-fragmentation models, which extends the one derived by Hendriks et al. As a by-product of our results, the class of solvable models is widened and a question posed by N. Berestycki and Pitman is answered, under restriction to mean-field models.  相似文献
