Summary N-Benzoylphenylhydroxylarnine complexes of some metals have been investigated by HPLC. The green chromium complex formed by this reagent shows conclusive evidence of the presence of geometrical isomers. It is photosensitive and changes to a brown modification when irradiated with ultra violet or visible light. Elution behaviour of the complexes has been studied with different solvent mixtures. Attempts have been made to characterize the complexes from different measurements.

The reagent 5,6-diphenyl-2,3-dihydro(asym)triazine-3-thione produces a green complex with perrhenate in hydrochloric acid medium in presence of stannous chloride. The complex on extraction in chloroform shows a peak at 685 nm. The system obeys Beer's law from 2–10 p.p.m. of rhenium and its molar absorptivity is 1.53-l0-4. It tolerates the presence of a large number of ions, including MoXXX and WXXX. Job's and molar ratio methods suggest that rhenium and the reagent are present in the ratio 1:2 and the isolated complex is of the same composition, i.e. ReO(C25H10N3S)2.  相似文献

We present an algorithm for introducing a global constraint of volume conservation in lake circulation problems. The algorithm is described for linear problems, and is then generalized to non-linear cases. Numerical examples are presented to show the influence of water-level conditions on convergence and to demonstrate the practical superiority of the global constraint algorithm for obtaining reliable convergent solutions.  相似文献

The oxidation of thiocyanate by periodate has been studied in alkaline media. A micro quantity of RuIII is sufficient to catalyse the reaction. The active catalytic species and oxidant in the reaction are understood to be [Ru(H2O)5OH]2+ and IO 4. The autocatalysis exhibited by one of the products, cyanate, is attributed to adduct formation between cyanate and periodate. A composite mechanism and rate law are proposed. Lithium‐ion (Li‐ion) cells have gained considerable attention in recent years as a power source for various applications owing to their high voltage, high energy density, low self‐discharge, and excellent cycle life. Polymeric materials play a pivotal role in the processing, performance, and safety of Li‐ion cells. The polymeric materials used in Li‐ion cells include: binder for electrode processing, separator, electrolyte, and electrode active material. Active research is being pursued in all of these areas to improve the energy density, power density, cycle life, and safety of Li‐ion cells. In this article, several approaches are advanced towards the construction of bivariate Weibull models from the consideration of failure behaviors of the components of a two-component system. First, a general method of construction of bivariate life models is developed in the setting of random environmental effects. Some new bivariate Weibull models are derived as special cases and added insights are provided for some of the existing ones. In the course of model formulation in terms of the dependence structure, a new bivariate family of life distributions is constructed so as to incorporate both positive and negative quadrant dependence in the same parametric setting, and a bivariate Weibull model is obtained as a special case. Finally, some distributional properties are presented for a bivariate Weibull model derived from the consideration of random hazards.  相似文献
