Sulfonic acid-functionalized silica-coated nano-Fe3O4particles (Fe3O4@SiO2–SO3H) serve as a novel heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of acylals by direct condensation of aldehydes with acetic anhydride under solvent-free conditions at room temperature in short reaction times and excellent yields. The catalyst could be easily separated from the final product using an external magnet and reused several times without consequential loss of reactivity.  相似文献

A control-theoretic decision making system is proposed for an agent (decision maker) to “optimally” allocate and deploy his/her resources over time among a dynamically changing list of opportunities (e.g., financial assets), in an uncertain market environment. The solution is a sequence of actions with the objective of optimizing total reward function. This control-theoretic approach is unique in a sense that it solves the problem at distinct time epochs over a finite time horizon and strategies are discovered directly. Rather than basing a decision making system on forecasts or training via a reinforcement learning algorithm using current state data, we train our system via a Q-learning algorithm using Geometric Brownian Motion as an asset price function. While the above problem is quite general, we focus solely on the problem of dynamic financial portfolio management with the objective of maximizing the expected utility for a given risk level. The performance functions that we consider for our system are realized mean return, drawdown and standard deviation. We find that our model achieves a better return and drawdown compared to a known market index as a benchmark.  相似文献

A copper(II) ion-selective PVC membrane sensor based on 2-(1'-(4'-(1'-hydroxy-2'-naphthyl)methyleneamino)butyl iminomethyl)-1-naphthol (BHNB) as a novel Schiff base containing a sensing material has been successfully developed. The sensor exhibits a good linear response of 29 mV per decade within the concentration range of 10(-1)-10(-6) M of Cu2+. The sensor shows good selectivity for copper(II) ion in comparison with alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions. The BHNB-based sensor is suitable for use with aqueous solutions of pH 3.5-7.0 and displays minimal interference by Sr(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), Zn(II) and Pb(II), which are known to interfere with other previously suggested electrodes. The proposed membrane electrode was used as a sensor for determining the Cu(II) content in black tea samples. It was also applied as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of Cu2+ ions with EDTA.  相似文献

In this paper, Au nanorings in a SiO2 substrate have been utilized to design a plasmonic waveguide with lower losses and perfect energy coupling. Our recommended structure consists of a chain of dozen Au nanorings with a given intercenter space between them going on resonance, if a beam with specific wavelength is launched in the input area of the waveguide. Nanoring has an extra degree of freedom in its geometry and have a preferable tunability in comparison to other shapes of nanoparticles (e.g. nanospheres). It is shown that a modified plasmon waveguide structure can be utilized at optical communication band (λ = 1550 nm), in optical integrated devices. Red-shifted of localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) has been considered as a fundamental condition to have a maximum of optical response at λ = 1550 nm. Cross-sectional depictions of field propagation through the structure are displayed in order to show the absorption and scattering of light by particles. Ultimately, transmitted power ratio is computed for the structure to clear-cutting its characteristics.  相似文献

Pd/Ag/α-Al2O3 composite membranes were prepared by sequential electroless plating technique. The prepared membranes were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spec-troscopy, and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy techniques (ICP-AES). Effects of annealing time, Ag content, and air treatment on the hydrogen permeation flux and morphology of the alloys were investigated. The results of the investigation showed that the prepared type of tube had a good potential as substrate for membrane preparation. In addition, a uniform defect-free alloy was prepared by annealing at 550 ℃ in H2 atmosphere. The permeation results showed an increase in H2 permeation flux by increasing the Ag content and the annealing time. In addition, the air treatment of the prepared membranes at 400 ℃ for 1 h changed the morphology of the alloy and substantially enhanced the hydrogen flux.  相似文献

Abstract

Resolution enhancement of a high-speed fiber-optic spectrometer is investigated in this article. The operation of these types spectrometers is based on conversion of the spectral-domain signal into the time domain by a dispersive element. A photonic crystal fiber is used as a dispersive fiber in this spectrometer. Resolution enhancement of considered spectrometer with photonic crystal fibers is studied. The fiber loss and length minimization in this spectrometer are obtained. Simulation results show that an increase in resolution will cause a decrease in the speed of the spectrometer. Trade offs between resolution and speed are studied.  相似文献
