The limiting molar conductances ° of deuterium chloride DCl in D2O were determined as a function of pressure and temperature in order to examine the proton-jump mechanism in detail. The excess deuteron conductances °E(D +), as estimated by the equation [°E(D +) = °(DCl/D 2 O) – °(KCl/D 2 O)], increases with an increase in the pressure and temperature as well as the excess proton conductance [°E(H +) = °(HCl/H 2 O) – °(KCl/H 2 O)]. The isotope effect on the excess conductances, however, depends on the pressure and temperature contrary to the model proposed by Conway et al.: °E(H +)/°E(D +) decreases with increasing pressure and temperature. The magnitude of the decrease with pressure becomes more prominent at lower temperature. These results are discussed in terms of the pre-rotation of adjacent water molecules, the bending of hydrogen bonds with pressure, and the difference in strength of hydrogen bonds between D2O and H2O.  相似文献

To design ultrabright fluorescent solid dyes, a crystal engineering strategy that enables monomeric emission by blocking intermolecular electronic interactions is required. We introduced propylene moieties to distyrylbenzene (DSB) as bridges between the phenyl rings either side of its C=C bonds. The bridged DSB derivatives formed compact crystals that emit colors similar to those of the same molecules in dilute solution, with high quantum yields. The introduction of flexible seven-membered rings to the DSB core produced moderate distortion and steric hindrance in the DSB π-plane. However, owing to this strategy, it was possible to control the molecular arrangement with almost no decrease in the crystal density, and intermolecular electronic interactions were suppressed. The bridged DSB crystal structure differs from other DSB derivative structures; thus, bridging affords access to novel crystalline systems. This design strategy has important implications in many fields and is more effective than the conventional photofunctional molecular crystal design strategies.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We present a new fabrication approach to achieve a high birefringence film by means of photopolymerization based on an alkylthio-containing rod-like liquid crystalline molecule exhibiting large temperature dependence of birefringence. We designed a new reactive mesogen having alkylthio linkages (BPM–S). It was found that BPM–S had a larger increment of birefringence with decreasing temperature, relative to commercially available alkoxy analog LC242. This result could be thought to be due to enhanced intermolecular attractive interaction for an alkylthio mesogen implied by the proximity of laterally neighboring molecules and cybotactic nematic tendency based on wide-angle X-ray measurement. The uniaxially-aligned photo-polymerized film for BPM–S showed higher birefringence than that for LC 242.  相似文献

The molar conductivities Lambda of NaCl, KCl, and CsCl in liquid methanol were measured in the concentration range of (0.3-2.0) x 10(-3) mol dm(-3) and the temperature range of 60-240 degrees C along the liquid-vapor coexistence curve. The temperature range corresponds to the solvent density range of (2.78-1.55)rhoc, where rhoc = 0.2756 g cm(-3) is the critical density of methanol. The concentration dependence of Lambda at each temperature and density (pressure) has been analyzed by the Fuoss-Chen-Justice equation to obtain the limiting molar conductivity Lambda0 and the molar association constant KA. For all the electrolytes studied, Lambda0 increased almost linearly with decreasing density at densities above 2.0rhoc, while the opposite tendency was observed at lower densities. The relative contribution of the nonhydrodynamic effect on the translational friction coefficient zeta was estimated in terms of Deltazeta/zeta, where the residual friction coefficient Deltazeta is the difference between zeta and the Stokes friction coefficient zetaS. At densities above 2.0rhoc, Deltazeta/zeta increased with decreasing density though zeta and Deltazeta decrease, and the tendencies are common for all the ions studied. The density dependences of zeta and Deltazeta/zeta were explained well by the Hubbard-Onsager (HO) dielectric friction theory based on the sphere-in-continuum model. At densities below 2.0rhoc, however, the experimental results cannot be explained by the HO theory.  相似文献

During the screening of novel chemotherapeutic candidates from plants against adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma, we identified that the extracts of Thuja occidentalis (Cupressaceae) showed potent anti-proliferative activity in MT-1 and MT-2 cells. Therefore, we attempted to isolate the active components from this plant. We isolated and identified 32 compounds (1–32; eight lignans, 18 terpenoids, and six flavonoids) from the extracts of the leaves and cones. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis. Several of the isolated compounds inhibited the growth of both cell lines. Lignans showed more potent activity than other classes of compounds. A comparison of the activities of compounds 1–8 revealed that the presence of a trans-lactone (linkage of C-6 to C-7) correlated with increased activity. Diterpenes showed moderate activity, and the presence of a ketone moiety at the C-7 position correlated with increased activity in compounds 12–21. In addition, biflavones showed moderate activity, and the presence of methoxy functions appeared to influence the activity of these compounds. Several lignans were lead compound of anti-cancer reagent (etoposide). In conclusion, not only lignans, but also diterpenes and/or biflavones, may be promising candidates for the treatment of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma.  相似文献

A liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS) procedure was developed for the simultaneous determination of enantiomers of the prevalent designer drug 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and its phase I and phase II metabolites in urine with chiral derivatization. The analytes in urine were directly derivatized with chiral Marfey’s reagent, N α- (5-fluoro-2,4-dinitrophenyl)-d-leucinamide, without extraction. The diastereomers of the N α-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-d-leucinamide derivatives generated were determined by LC-MS/MS. Satisfactory chromatographic separation was achieved for the enantiomers of MDMA and its metabolites 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxymethamphetamine (HMMA), HMMA glucuronide, and HMMA sulfate on a semimicro octadecylsilane column using linear gradient elution. With use of multiple reaction monitoring mode, the limits of detection of these analytes ranged from 0.01 to 0.03?μg/mL. Linear calibration curves were obtained for all enantiomers from 0.1 to 20?μg/mL in urine. The method showed sufficient reproducibility and quantitative ability. This is the first report of a simple LC-MS/MS-based analytical procedure with direct chiral derivatization in aqueous media that allows simultaneous enantiomeric determination of drugs and their metabolites, including glucuronide and sulfate derivatives.  相似文献

Ultrathin nylon capsule membranes coated with synthetic bilayers, the hydrophilic head groups of which had cationic, anionic, zwitterionic and nonionic charges, were prepared. Permeation of NaCl trapped in the inner aqueous phase was reduced by a factor of 10-1000 relative to that of the uncoated, semipermeable capsules, and drastically changed at the phase transition temperature, Tc, of the coating bilayers, depending on the charge of their hydrophilic head group. In the case of capsules coated with positively or negatively charged bilayers, NaCl permeation was enhanced at temperatures above the Tc of the coating bilayers, as expected. On the other hand, NaCl release of capsules coated with neutral charged (nonionic and zwitterionic) bilayers was largely reduced at temperatures above the Tc. From activation energy data of Arrhenius plots, the permeation mechanism of NaCl, depending on the membrane surface charge, below and above the Tc was discussed.  相似文献
