Metallic Pd synthesized in porous glass with an average pore diameter of 7 ± 2 nm has been studied using the X-ray diffraction and X-ray line shift methods for the first time. The irregular dependence of the reflection width in X-ray patterns on the diffraction angle has been revealed. This can be caused by crystallite growth mostly in the [111] direction or by tetrahedral distortions of the fcc lattice. The shift (difference in energy) of K α1 lines (ΔE α1 = 19 ± 2 meV) for nanostructured Pd in comparison with the bulk material is first detected. The detected effect is considered within the assumption of the palladium electron redistribution between Pd 5s- and 4d-bands.  相似文献

The rate of nuclear muon capture by the proton has been measured using a new technique based on a time projection chamber operating in ultraclean, deuterium-depleted hydrogen gas, which is key to avoiding uncertainties from muonic molecule formation. The capture rate from the hyperfine singlet ground state of the microp atom was obtained from the difference between the micro(-) disappearance rate in hydrogen and the world average for the micro(+) decay rate, yielding Lambda(S)=725.0+/-17.4 s(-1), from which the induced pseudoscalar coupling of the nucleon, g(P)(q(2)=-0.88m(2)(micro))=7.3+/-1.1, is extracted.  相似文献

The influence of the excitation laser power density L on the amplitude A and characteristic time constant of the intermediate-field electric modulation component of photoreflection spectra measured in the region of the E 0 fundamental transition of GaAs is studied. Crystalline samples with the charge carrier concentration n 1016 cm–3 are investigated for L = 100 W/cm2–1 W/cm2. A logarithmic dependence of the electric modulation signal on the excitation laser power density has been established for all examined samples. It is demonstrated that the observed change in the characteristic time constant does not have any noticeable effect on the dependence A(L).  相似文献

The anodic formation of Ag(I) oxide nanofilms on polycrystalline silver and Ag–Au alloys as well as on low-index single crystals of silver in 0.1?М KOH was examined. By the methods of photocurrent i ph and photopotential E ph measurements, the n-type conductivity of Ag2O film was established. Since the film (6–120 nm) is thinner than the space charge region, the dependence of photocurrent and photopotential appears on the film thickness L: i ph ~L and E ph ~L 2. The transition from polycrystalline silver to single crystals as well as the addition of a small amount of gold (X Au?≤?4 at.%) into the silver lattice decreases the degree of deviation from the stoichiometric composition Ag2O. The parameters of Ag2O film (optical absorption coefficient α, donor defects concentration N D, space charge region W, and Debye’s length of screening L D) depend on the index of a crystal face of silver, volume concentration of gold X Au in the alloy, and film-formation potential E. At Е?=?0.52 V, the sequences of variation of these parameters correlate with the reticular density sequence. The growth of the potential disturbs these sequences. The band gap in Ag2O formed on Agpoly, Aghkl, and Ag–Au is 2.32, 2.23, and 2.19 eV. Flat band potential in Ag(I) oxide, formed on Agpoly in 0.5 M KOH is 0.37 V. The appearance of the clear dependence between the state of the oxide/metal interface and the structure-sensitive parameters of semiconductor Ag(I) oxide phase allows considering the anodic formation of Ag2O on Ag as a result of the primary direct electrochemical reaction, not of the precipitation from the near-electrode layer.  相似文献

Muon catalyzed dd fusion in D2 and HD gases in the temperature range from 28 to 350 K was investigated in a series of experiments based on a time-projection ionization chamber operating with pure hydrogen. All main observables in this reaction chain were measured with high absolute precision including the resonant and non-resonant ddμ formation rates, the rate for hyperfine transitions in dμ atoms, the branching ratio of the two charge symmetric fusion channels 3He + n and t + p and the muon sticking probability. The report presents the final analysis of the data together with a comprehensive comparison with calculations based on recent μCF theories. The energy of the loosely bound ddμ state with quantum numbers J = 1, ν = 1, which is central to the mechanism of resonant molecule formation, is extracted with precision ?11(fit) = ?1.9651(7) eV. in impressive agreement with the latest theoretical results ?11(theory) = ?1.9646 eV.  相似文献

Combined photoreflectance/photoluminescence measurements are proposed for the study of the stability of semiconductor surface passivation. With such an approach, laser action on both charged and recombination-active electron states can be investigated. We propose to study a number of open problems in ddµ and pdµ fusion using the new high-pressure ionization chamber for charged particle identification in coincidence with the n-/e-counter array for the detection of neutrons and µ-decay electrons. Our first objective will be a precise measurement of the absolute rates of resonant and non-resonant ddµ formation in D2 and HD-gases and their temperature dependence from 40 to 350 K. Both output channels of the dd-reaction:3He + n and t + p will be observed and their ratio sensitive to contributions of S and P-waves will be determined. Simultaneously, we shall investigate the pdµ-cycle and determine the absolute pd-fusion yields in different molecular H/D compositions, observing tritons from nuclear muon capture in3Heµ: pdµ 3Heµ + . We have developed a special system for the preparation of HD-gas with high concentration (96%) of HD and a purity (10–6).  相似文献
