In
this paper, novel results on the blue thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL)
emission of ulexite (NaCaB5O6(OH)6·5H2O)
have been studied. The four maxima appearing at 60, 110, 200 and 240°C
on the TSL glow curves of this borate could be respectively associated to:
(i) the first dehydration (NaCaB5O6(OH)6·5H2O→NaCaB5O6(OH)6·3H2O),
(ii) the creation-annihilation of the three-hydrated
phase, (iii) the Na-coordinated chains
dehydroxylation and the starting point of the alkali self-diffusion through
the lattice and (iv) the amorphisation
of the lattice. These results are fairly well correlated with the differential
thermal analyses (DTA), in situ thermal observations under environmental scanning
electron microscope (TESEM) and thermal X-ray diffraction (TXRD) techniques. 相似文献

Magnetoresistance measurements have been performed in narrow GaAs/AlGaAs wires in order to study the scattering process in mesoscopic wires. Amplitude analysis of the Shubnikov -de Haas oscillations shows that electrons have two scattering times, depending upon the magnetic field range. The critical field which separates these scattering times seems to be determined by the relation between the wire width and the electron cyclotron radius. This effect is discussed in terms of the electron trajectories in a wire under the magnetic field. 相似文献

Malaria, a devastating infectious disease caused by Plasmodium spp., leads to roughly 655,000 deaths per year, mostly of African children. To compound the problem, drug resistance has emerged to all classical antimalarials and may be emerging for artemisinin-based combination therapies. To address the need for new antimalarials with novel mechanisms, several groups carried out phenotypic screening campaigns to identify compounds inhibiting growth of the blood stages of Plasmodium falciparum. In this review, we describe the characterization of these compounds, explore currently ongoing strategies to develop lead molecules, and endorse the concept of a "malaria box" of publicly accessible active compounds. 相似文献
