There are thousands of papers published every year investigating the properties and possible applications of ionic liquids. Industrial use of these exceptional fluids requires adequate understanding of their physical properties, in order to create the ionic liquid that will optimally suit the application. Computational property prediction arose from the urgent need to minimise the time and cost that would be required to experimentally test different combinations of ions. This review discusses the use of machine learning algorithms as property prediction tools for ionic liquids (either as standalone methods or in conjunction with molecular dynamics simulations), presents common problems of training datasets and proposes ways that could lead to more accurate and efficient models.

Metabolomics is a potential tool for the discovery of new biomarkers in the early diagnosis of diseases. An ultra-fast gas chromatography system equipped to an electronic nose detector (FGC eNose) was used to identify the metabolomic profile of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in type 2 diabetes (T2D) urine from Mexican population. A cross-sectional, comparative, and clinical study with translational approach was performed. We recruited twenty T2D patients and twenty-one healthy subjects. Urine samples were taken and analyzed by FGC eNose. Eighty-eight compounds were identified through Kovats's indexes. A natural variation of 30% between the metabolites, expressed by study groups, was observed in Principal Component 1 and 2 with a significant difference (p < 0.001). The model, performed through a Canonical Analysis of Principal coordinated (CAP), allowed a correct classification of 84.6% between healthy and T2D patients, with a 15.4% error. The metabolites 2-propenal, 2-propanol, butane- 2,3-dione and 2-methylpropanal, were increased in patients with T2D, and they were strongly correlated with discrimination between clinically healthy people and T2D patients. This study identified metabolites in urine through FGC eNose that can be used as biomarkers in the identification of T2D patients. However, more studies are needed for its implementation in clinical practice.  相似文献

This paper presents further developments in the study of strong solutions and their coincidence sets to the obstacle problem for linear transport operators. Under natural mild assumptions, the strong convergence of the solutions and the characteristic functions of their coincidence sets is obtained in the passage of second order to first order problems. An application to a steady-state chemotaxis problem is given. The extension to the two obstacles problem of first order is also presented, having in view an application to a porous media model in presence of saturation arising in petroleum engineering.  相似文献

A detailed model for the optogalvanic effect in a neon hollow cathode discharge irradiated by a chopped CW dye laser is presented. A rate equation formalism is used to calculate the evolution of the first and second electronic configuration populations coupled by the laser and of the electric charges number density. Processes as ambipolar-like electrons loss, electronic collisional coupling of level populations and electron emission by the cathode due to VUV radiation from the 1s 2 resonant level are taken into account and further discussed.The transients and steady-state magnitude of the optogalvanic signal are calculated, compared with experimental data and related to population changes. We predict sign changes of the optogalvanic signal when the laser is tuned over transitions originating from the resonant level with respect to transitions involving the metastables states. The optogalvanic signal is shown to be basically determined by the laser-induced variations of the excited-state populations while changes in the electron temperature, due to laser energy transfer by collisions between electrons and excited atoms, play a negligible role.  相似文献

For a large class of non-local, non separable potentials with non-compact support, the solution of the radial integrodifferential equation may be reduced to the solution of a homogeneous linear integral equation of Fredholm type with a quadratically integrable kernel. In this way we derive expansions of the wave functions and the Green's function of the Schrödinger equation with a non-local potential in terms of bound states, resonant states and a continuum of scattering functions with complex wave number. The rules of normalization, orthogonality and completeness satisfied by the eigenstates of the Schrödinger equation belonging to complex eigenvalues with Im En < 0, (Gamow or resonant states) are also derived. Finally, by means of a realistic example, it is shown how to use these expansions to exhibit the resonant behaviour of the differential cross section. Explicit expressions for the transition amplitudes and the partial widths in terms of expectation values of operators computed with Gamow functions are given.  相似文献
