The aim of this work is to study the ionizing radiation effects on thermal properties of there cycled polyamide-6. This polymer was irradiated with an electron beam of 1.5 MeV with different doses. The thermal properties of the samples were determined by TG, DSC and DMA measurements. It was observed that the irradiated samples of recycled polyamide-6undergo a crosslinking process. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Utilizing the fact that fast-relaxing impurities broaden the EPR linewidth of strongly coupled paramagnets in proportion to the strength of the impurity-host exchange coupling, we have been able to show that the exchange interaction in the molten phase is a large as, if not larger than, it is in the solid state of Fe-doped MnF2. This unique experiment distinguishes exchange from motional effects unlike resonance in the pure paramagnets.  相似文献

The theoretical directivity of a single combined acoustic receiver, a device that can measure many quantities of an acoustic field at a collocated point, is presented here. The formulation is developed using a Taylor series expansion of acoustic pressure about the origin of a Cartesian coordinate system. For example, the quantities measured by a second-order combined receiver, denoted a dyadic sensor, are acoustic pressure, the three orthogonal components of acoustic particle velocity, and the nine spatial gradients of the velocity vector. The power series expansion, which can be of any order, is cast into an expression that defines the directivity of a single receiving element. It is shown that a single highly directional dyadic sensor can have a directivity index of up to 9.5 dB. However, there is a price to pay with highly directive sensors; these sensors can be significantly more sensitive to nonacoustic noise sources.  相似文献

Electron beam (e-beam) curing is a technology that offers advantages over the thermal curing process, that usually requires high temperature and are time-consuming. E-beam curing is faster and occurs at low temperatures that help reduce residual mechanical stresses in a thermoset composite. The aim of the present study is to analyze the effects of cationic initiator (diaryliodonium hexafluoroantimonate) ranged from 1 to 3 wt% in DGEBA (diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A) epoxy resin when cured by a 1.5 MeV electron beam. The specimens were cured to a total dose of 200.4 kGy for 40 min. Analyses by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) show that the e-beam irradiated samples with 2 wt% cationic initiator were 96% cured obtained a glass transition temperature (tan δ) of 167 °C. The same epoxy resin, thermally cured for 16 h with an anhydride hardener, reached a Tg (tan δ) of 136 °C. So, the irradiated sample had its Tg increased approximately 20% and the curing process was much less time consuming.  相似文献

The aim of the present work was to evaluate if the presence of a polyethylenglycol (PEG) coating around PLA nanoparticles would affect their interaction with biological surfaces, following oral administration to rats. For this purpose, a model antigen, 125I-radiolabeled tetanus toxoid, was encapsulated in PLA and PLA-PEG nanoparticles by a modified water-in-oil-in-water solvent evaporation technique. Firstly, the stability of the nanoparticles in simulated gastrointestinal fluids was evaluated. Results showed an interaction between the nanoparticles and the enzymes of the digestive fluids, this interaction being considerably reduced by the PEG coating around the particles. On the other hand, the PLA forming the nanoparticles was found to be only slightly degraded (9% converted to lactate for PLA nanoparticles and 3% for PLA-PEG nanoparticles) and that the encapsulated tetanus toxoid remained mostly associated to the nanoparticles upon incubation in the digestive fluids for up to 4 h. Finally, the in vivo experiments showed that, after oral administration to rats, the levels of encapsulated radioactive antigen in the blood stream and lymphatics were higher for PLA-PEG nanoparticles than for PLA nanoparticles. In conclusion, the PLA-PEG nanoparticles have a promising future as protein delivery systems for oral administration.  相似文献
